Hi allI might be missing something.On the IOS app I have an option to “create group”, where I can give the group a name, e..g Downstairs, and add in my Kitchen, Lounge and Dining Room devices. This makes it very easy to perform the same actions to all relevant devices.I cannot see any references to either this functionality, or the groups I’ve created, in the Sonos Windows app.Am I overlooking something?Thanks Jim

Hi.I have a Sonos  1 new about 4 years ago.It started playing up and i ended up doing a factory reset.But now I can’t seem =to set it up again.Can someone tell me where i might be going wrong please?

Hello everyone,Since I updated my Sonos Controller S1 under Windows 11 to version 16.1, I can no longer start the app.I briefly see the black SONOS S1 logo and that's it.The logo disappears and the app is closed.There is also no Sonos task to be found in the task manager.A complete uninstall and reinstall did not change this behavior.I only use Windows Defender as virus protection.Deactivating this virus scanner for a short time made no difference, so that was obviously not the problem.I am at a loss, does anyone have any ideas?Many thanks in advance and best regards from the far north of GermanymeMyself

I'm thinking about getting the Sonos Beam as I'm mostly looking to upgrade my TV speakers/current cheap soundbar (Samsung HW-N400). So I'm looking for an allrounder that I can use for streaming, standard TV program and movies.The Sonos Beam seems to match that requirements though I'm unsure if it works for my room layout. I'm living in a studio apartment (without terrace it's about 42 sqm and if I take out bathroom and corridor its probably around 34 sqm for the main room). See following link to the room layout. I just added the bed (from where I'm watching mainly from) and the TV. To the left there is the closet. To the right is the couch, desk, dinning table and in the top right is the kitchen.Distance to TV is around 3,5 meters. Wall to the left is close but wall to the right is several meters away. Does the Sonos Beam work with such a room layout? Since I would prefer not to spend more than 500€ the Arc is beyond that budget and from what I’ve read I’m not sure if it’s worth double

I have problem with my apps like Youtube on Sony a80j where the dialogue is lower and the other sounds like boms and music are higher. I have switched on the dialogue button on Sonos sorround (Beam gen 1 + 2 play1), and the settings are on Dolby Digital and connected with earc.Here are my settings: 

Can I connect my PS5 to the Sonos Era 100 using the Sonos in-line adapter and an adapter that plugs into the front of the PS5? I've seen people do it with other speakers.

My Arc is flashing orange and white and not playing sound from the TV?

HiI've seen similar problems here but nothing exact, so hoping someone can help please.I have a Beam connected to my Samsung TV via HDMI ARC and two rear Sonos 1 as surrounds.Everything is fine except on terrestrial TV programs and their apps - so live TV for example on BBC, ITV and on iPlayer and ITV app - where the vocals come out distorted on the rear speakers. The speech is fine on the Beam but on the rears any background music is ok but vocals are crackly.The weird thing is on other apps like Netflix, the vocals just come out of Beam as expected and not on rears. I’m assuming it’s an encoding issue on terrestrial but it’s driving me mad! Any thoughts please? There’s not much I can do on TV sound settings except switch between PCM and Dolby Digital - both make no difference though. thanks

I have an IKEA Symfonisk Floor Lamp speaker and an IKEA Book shelf speaker. Can I pair these as stereo speakers? Both are new purchases in 2024.

All of my TV sound is piped into sonos amps so I am able to play my TV sound in all speakers in my house. I wanted to connect a mixer through the sonos port and into the amp so I could sing vocals with wireless mics into the sound board, and combine the sound from the TV and the mixer. Is that possible? 

My five speaker fell off the shelf and the case is cracked, can I get it repaired?

I have my living room set up with a Playbar, Sub, left and right surrounds Play 3. Often when I play a song it sounds like only the playbar has output and then maybe 30 sec later the sub comes in. I've dicconnected and reconnected it a few times. No change. 

Hi i am trying to use the upgrade program of an old sonos 5 gen 1 but the update program seems to not recognize a valida unit for the 30% discount.but the sonos 5 Gen 1 is listed as a valid unit for the upgrade program. Any idea how to qualify to the discount? thanks 

Possible a slightly quirky setup question, but I’ll ask anyway. Apologies that this relates to my other question, but I feel it warrants a sepaarte topic. EDIT: Please ignore! I just realised that wiring in series is not recommended, so that rules out me adding another pair as I had hoped. I have a Sonos Amp driving a pair of Monitor Audio C180 (https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/product-ranges/basics/c180/). These are 6 ohm. I want to add another pair of speakers at the other end of the room. The ones I am looking at are 8 ohm. Should I be able to safely drive both sets of speakers off the same amp, with the wiring being fed Amp > C180 (6 ohm) > new speakers (8 ohm) ? My knowledge around resistance etc is poor.If the above is not recommended, would it be better if I bought 6 ohm speakers so that all four were 6 ohm?Many thanks Jim

Hi allWell, this surprised me. I was working in the garden today with my Roam, and I have two Ubiquti Unifi access points in the garden. Music at the top of the garden was great; music at the bottom of the garden was great too. But walking between top and bottom, and therefore transitioning between the two APs, resulted in about 12 seconds with no music.I have excellent coverage across the whole garden, and I was able to run a continuous “ping” from my phone when I was investigating, so it’s not a coverage issue.I must admit, I was very surprised. Of all the gadgets and toys that we have in the house, I’ve never had a single one that couldn’t cope with changing AP. Until now.Am I alone?Thanks Jim

HiI currently have a Sonos Amp powering a pair of non-Sonos ceiling speakers. I would like to put additional speakers at the far end of the room.For logistical reasons, running cables will be tricky, so I’m looking at the Era 100.My question: Could I have a pair of Era 100, working as a true pair, in the same room as the Amp, and have everything play nicely?Thanks Jim  

My Sonos beam lost connectivity to Wi-Fi but connects on Ethernet. I have tried to factory reset, spent hours on the phone to the support team at Sonos and my internet provider and cannot get it to connect. I also noticed slight almost unnoticeable gaps in audio at the time WI Fi dropped. The only thing I can think to do next is try to connect on someone else’s WiFi or my phone as a hot spot on 5g Any ideas gratefully received 

Hi all. First time poster…. I have a combination of Sonos One’s, Play 1’s and Move’s as well as playbase and sub around the house. When I group all speakers together and use Alexa to play music (via Apple Music) it used to play on all speakers which were already grouped together in the Sonos App but now it only seems to play on selected speakers (the Sonos One’s and Moves but not the Play 1’s and Playbase and Sub). Is there a reason for this? The speakers still remain grouped in the app and if I stop music via Alexa and press play on the app it comes out of all the speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently updated my apple software to Sonoma and Sonos dropped my music library.  When I try to reset the music library, it tells me sonos was denied access to the library.  I/ve had several session with Sonos techs and so far no luck.

I am able to get Dolby Atmos sound when watching shows on Apple TV+ and Disney+, but not when streaming from Amazon Prime Video or HBO Max. I am only getting Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) 5.1 with those two services, despite that the content has the Dolby Atmos badge under the title screen. My system is as follows:Surround sound: Sonos Beam (gen 2) paired with a sub mini and two Era 100s (as surrounds). This is plugged into the eARC hdmi port.TV: Sony Bravia - XR X90L (2023)Streaming Device: Apple TV 4k (3rd generation). This is plugged into  4k/120hz hdmi 2.1 port I’ve tried playing around with some audio setting on both the ATV and the TV, but so far, I can’t get HBO nor Amazon to play Atmos, yet Disney and Apple TV+ don’t have an issue. I will also say that I tested the native Amazon app on the Sony platform, and that also only gives DD+ 5.1. My Netflix subscription doesn’t support Atmos, so I can’t test that application. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi is any one can tell me why my sonos speakers cant connecti have 10 amps and like 10 wirless speakers i can play  8-10 togheter but when i tried to add more zones it dont let me do it it show  me  (unable to connect t device try again laterthank yall for any help or advice

"Radio.net is experiencing a full outage" message from Sonos will not go away.  It blocks the ability to search music.  Have deleted it from my services.  What to do??

I have multiple rooms with speakers wired to Sonos Amps. I also have a playbar. When listening to Amazon music, Spotify, apple music, and Sirius XM the music continues playing on the playbar without fail, but comes and goes regularly in the rooms that are wired to the Amps. The amps are Ethernet wired to my router, and the playbar is wired to the amp as well. Can someone help suggest a fix for why the amp would stop playing to wired speakers, but continue playing to the sound bar?

I’ve been using Beam gen 1 with my Samsung Frame TV. No problems. HDMI and all other cables are in the wall.  I’m now replacing with a Beam gen 2 (so that I can use new Eras 300 set as surround).  Is there any reason the HDMI cable that I’ve been using successfully with Beam gen 1 would not work with the Beam 2?  When I connect the new Beam 2 using the existing cable, nothing works.  So I tried the HDMI cable that came with Beam 2, it works, but it will be too short to run behind with wall.Why would the HDMI cable work for Beam 1 and not Beam 2? And if I need to buy a new cable, (that’s long enough), do I just need to get HDMI 2.1 for it to work?Thanks in advance!k
