Hi everyone, I recently acquired a Beam (gen 2) that is to be hooked up to a PC set-up as its speaker. I have a pair of Era 300s that I want to link to it as the rears. I bought the Beam to avoid the delay issues that the other Sonos line-in speakers experience, in the context of a gaming/AV use case. The Beam will be connected to my monitor via the HDMI 2.1 connection, with a HDMI 2.1-ready cable, and the monitor connected to the PC tower also via a HDMI 2.1 connection with a HDMI 2.1-ready cable. If relevant, I do have other Sonos products active in the property (2x One SLs, Sub and an Ethernet-connected Arc) - which are currently in their own group in the app. With this in mind, my questions were: 1. If I grouped the Beam + 300s in the Sonos app, would the 300s use the 'internal' group network created by the Beam and also share the same zero/near-zero latency the Beam would otherwise have if it was by itself? 2. Novice here on tech details on Sonos System and need help with what I need to do to add a turntable to our system. What we have: Hard-wired (non-Sonos) in wall speakers spread through 3 levels of residential home. They are connected to our internet with Sonos ports and an amp of some sort (not sure it’s a Sonos amp, but that might be there too). 10-15 speakers. The wiring has been run to a utility room where our internet and all the Sonos components are centralized (the brain so to speak). What I want to do: Add a turntable (either Pro-ject or similar with built-in amp) to our living room. Question: How do I add this turntable to our existing system so that the records play over our wired speakers (and their various groupings on the app)?-Do I need a Port (does that speak wirelessly to our existing system?), or an Amp (trying not to duplicate components we already own), or would and Era 100 speaker plugged into the turntable communicate wirelessly with our system in the utility room?An

I have three zones.  I had a yamaha 3060 powering them  I now have sonos amp - kitchen studysonos amp- patiosonos port  with the yamaha 3060 amp   is there a way to not have to go into the app (yamaha) and turn it on so that sonos port will work. .. meaning can i just use the sonos phone app and tell it to turn everything on in all zones.. I know sonos port has a trigger.. ?   is there a way for screen tv viewing of what is playing on the sonos system thank you   

I have just tried to add a Beam Gen2, unfortunately I have found I cannot add my Play1’s or play5 to the same system.in an endeavour to add at least the play1 (I have 3) onto the same system as the beam I disconnected the play5, I now cannot reconnect the play5 back onto my Sonos S1 system.please help.

After having connection issues I decided to re connect my system. An article I read suggested installing with the router 5ghz temporarily disabled. Did this and all fine, enabled it and instantly get the message that Sonos and phone need to be on same network.Message fix suggests updating network, I just don’t that to cause problems, if it’s the only way to go then ok.Short of disabling permanently the 5ghz what can anyone suggest? Router is a Virgin Hub5, I’m sure their is a fairly simple answer to this, please!

Would using the Sonos HDMI ARC to optical Adapter plugged into Sonos Ray work using a PS5 / through a monitor connected to the PS5 without audio delay? I know that using speakers there's a 75ms delay, and using a Beam using HDMI would be fine, but the Ray is slightly cheaper and smaller form, so it would work better for my purposes.

Title should read - Alexa Stopped Working on Beam 1Alexa on my Beam Gen 1 has recently stopped workng.  Still works fine on my Beam Gen 2, ERA300 and Roam.I have hard reset the Beam and readded to Sonos and Alexa which it completes successfully and Alexa tells me it’s setup and ready to use.When I give Alexa a command it does not respond.  There is no white light dot above the microphone button on the Beam and repeated pressing of the mic button does not turn it on, however it does change tone on each press.It’s as if the microphone is disabled and I have no way to turn it on.Any suggestions would be great as it’s getting very frustrating now. I should have mentioned.  I am using the S2 app and have been doing for several years now.I have deregistered voice services on the Beam and also the Sonos skills in the Alexa app and then reregisted.  Everything I have tried so far has not been successful. Moderator edit: combined posts

Does anyone else find editing a song queue a bit painful?Pressing edit I would have would have thought you could tap on the negative symbol on the left and delete as many tracks as you want in one go. But, you can only delete them one at a time. Swiping left also deletes but again one at a time, and also after you have swiped or tapped edit the track reappears in the queue.

HelloI configured my isp tv box remote to work with my playbar, but both the volume +/- and channel +/- are controlling the volume, so when zapping I also make the volume go up and down. The channel +/- also control the volume in a weird way, so after some time I need to adjust it via the app.I have looked around the app and help, but  I can't find a way to remove or replace the remote other than disabling IV, but that also means I can't change the volume then.Can anyone help?Thank you

Hi! We're looking to install 6x outdoor speakers in the ceiling in an outdoor seeting area. We want to have these speakers amplified with three Sonos amps in one “room” with a third party subwoofer an amplifier. I heard that it's not possible to have more than two Sonos amps in one “room” configuration (so used as three stereo pairs together). Is this correct?

Hi, we have purchased 2 Era100 and set them up outside. They are undercover and won’t get wet.But we are wondering how they will go with condensation due to cold weather? I see can they withstand humidity but nothing is mentioned about condensation. thanks 

We bought recliners that and speakers in them. They have an AUX port. We want to sync them with our Sonos Arc, play one, sub surround sound. Is there a way?

Hello I have 2 Sonos ones & 1 Sonos SL.  I want to get a turntable with phono preamp built in and a Sonos Era 100 to play it out of.  Will the turntable play out of all my existing Sonos one/SL once it’s connected to the Era? And play records throughout the house. Or just through the Era and nothing else? Thanks very much Joe

Hi.  New to Sonos but love the speakers, the sub and the sound.  Had an ERA 300 and sub setup in one room and decided to add a second ERA 300 to have a stereo pair.  Did so and created stereo ppair in the app.  May be a dumb question, but can’t figure out how to tell left from right speakers now that they are both set up.  Any help appreciated.

Hello—we just replaced an echo device with an Era 100. We added our apple music account via the sonos app and are able to ask for music using ‘hey sonos’, but are unable to ask Alexa for music. As far as I can tell tell the apple music and Pandora skills are (still) enabled in the alexa app, however anytime my family tries to ask Alexa to play something, the speaker tells us that the skill needs to be enabled in the alexa app. We were previously able to do this on the echo… Is there something I’m doing wrong here? We could adjust to saying ‘Hey Sonos’, but everyone is used to shouting to ‘Alexa’ and frankly I don’t want to use separate voice assistants for timers, etc. and a different one for music.

Enabling night sound with beam gen 2, 2 fives, sub mini causes a delayed distorted repeat of what the center channel is doing. Maybe it’s just me but I think if other people try it you’ll hear it too. It doesn’t happen when it’s turned off obviously and the surround settings is 0 for music and tv.

Best option to set up:Samsung TV with ARC soundbar connected via HDMI ARC port. Amp in different closet 30’ away connected to 2 in ceiling speakers.  No option to get HDMI cable to back of TV to amp. There is 1 network connection at the back of TV that runs to closet where amp is located.  Customer wants his samsung remote to turn the volume + - the same for both the soundbar and amp speakers.  What would the best options be? Run an ARC converter over the cat6 to the amp? Or am I missing something here on the app set up side?

I have had the same issue while using TWO different trackpad with TWO different iMacs. When I browse even with side swipe turned off I have the same issue as the Magic Mouse issue in the now closed comment. Old Mac and track pad was doing it for over a year. New Mac and track pad (humble brag) delivered today. Does the same thing. So it goes across computers, peripherals, software.

I currently have a HEOS/Denon system that’s connected to Wifi and with 4 hardwired speakers and a Sub that is connected wirelessly (not sure how they did that. Pro install), in my outdoor patio.  I intend to keep the hardwired speakers and use a sonos sub. Anyway, I don’t like a wifi system.  I want to be able to play or have guests play their favorites channels via bluetooth rather than getting on my wifi system.What do I need to accomplish this?

We have 5 Sonos speakers in various rooms. 3 in our shop, sound bar, one in a back room. All via wifi. Stream music usually from Spotify. Stream during the day always to the same 3 speakers which is our default for last 3 years. About a week ago, (just after a full town power outage) Sonos randomly shuts down 1 or more speakers and turns on the back room speaker. Happens constantly now. Trying to change back to our usual three often they do not show up as discovered until we tap in and out of speaker list. Have rebooted modem, uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos app on iPhone, restarted iPhone. No idea what to do. 

Is it possible to connect Room and Mini SubWoofer?
