I got a play 5 for €20 and thinking of buying another one for €40

Also thinking about getting a connect for €25 off marketplace. And I was wondering if I’m able to connect the connect gen 1 to my tv and use the two play:5’s as stereo for the tv

The Play:5 and Connect aren’t designed to be connected to your TV and used as TV speakers. And if you were to connect the TV to either device’s line-in input, you would experience lip sync issues. If you want to improve your TV’s audio, get a Sonos sound bar instead.

I have a Sonos ray connected to my tv through the optical and I have two symfonisks as main setup. And thinking of getting a sub/sub mini. But that’s not the question here.
I am aware of the lip sync issue but I don’t mind that.

im trying to get a different setup with a different tv for another room.
like is it possible to hook up the connect to the tv. And stream the sound from the tv to the two play:5’s or not?

it’ll be used to play some games on it.
I currently have 1 play:5 plugged in through the line in. Don’t experience any issues with lip sync when playing video games on it.

You can set up the two Play:5s as a stereo pair and then connect the TV to one of the speaker’s line-in and play TV audio. You don’t need a Connect for this.
