I use Alexa via my Arc. I always want it on. Unfortunately it regularly gets disabled by my dog or when it is cleaned because of the touch control. Is there any way to retain Alexa functionality but stop this button turning it off? Or must I disable it and buy a separate Alexa device?!Weirdly disabling touch controls for the Arc doesn’t disable the mic touch control. I even tried electricians tape over the button but it doesn’t block the finger tap being detected.

I have a CD/DVD player connected to the Sonos amp using the RCA cables. All good for CD playing but how, if it's even possible can I watch DVDs? I connected the DVD video cable to the TV and can see picture but no sound. The only way I assume this will work is by connecting the audio RCAs to the TV but then I won't have CD audio.Any suggestions?

Hi… I am installing a 65” TV this weekend and a Sonos Beam (2nd gen) underneath using a separate mounting kit. The wires will come through the wall directly behind the Beam. Is there any magic to how far below the screen the Beam should be mounted? Thanks!

Hi I have an issue I no longer have the option of switching back to the TV speakers SONY KD65AF9, when I activate the TV speakers, the sound works for 2 seconds then systematically switches back to the Arc.I want to activate the Arc only when I watch a movie for example but not permanentlyThe answer from SONOS is to remove the cable and put it back when I want to use ARC but it’s not really a solution. Rgds

On some shows, using Apple TV, i get no dialogue.Only some shows - The Dropout is one.And only on Apple TV - on Android/Native TV app it works OK.Any ideas? And it’s the same shows - some on Hulu work, some don’t etc.

Hi!I’ve already read a post from another user one year ago questioning this, but the reply didn’t replied to what was asked, so here it goes:Whenever I turn my TV on, sound volume on Sonos app starts at 10, which is a little louder than I would want.IS there any way to preset the volume lever for TV, so whenever I turn TV on volume level is adjusted to the level selected?I’ve tried several times turning off TV with volume levels below 10, but it seems this volume is not saved for the next time I use my TV.Hope I can get some clarification on this.Thank you.

Hi all , I have a 4 gang rated at 3120 watts maximum and in that I have plugged my beam 2 , a one Sl speaker ( only 1 ) and my sky box , can't find any details on how much wattage the beam and one Sl use when on , I know the beam has a 13a fuse and the one Sl a 3a fuse , but no idea on actual wattage when being used ( not speaker wattage ) thanks

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue:I’ve had the same setup for over 3 years – for over 2 years I didn’t notice any issues, but for the last year or so I’ve been hearing strange sounds on 5.1 content, most noticeably when music is playing. It started around the time of the last firmware update on the TV (which can’t be downgraded), but the Beam may also have been updated around that time. The closest description I can think of is bubbles popping in water, like in a jacuzzi or a stream. It’s most noticeable during passages of sustained playing from strings & brass, and sort of pops away under the music. The exact clip I’ve been using to reproduce the issue is the Disney intro at the beginning of The Ice Ace Adventures of Buck Wild on Disney+ (identical to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrE8Rr_9jhU except this YouTube clip is only stereo). The popping always starts as the strings start to build up around 6-7 seconds but then it gets more noticeable around the flourish

Has anyone else noticed an improvement in the height channel audio when listening to Dolby Atmos content on the Arc? I was watching some Dolby Atmos demos and listening to music last night, and the height channel effects sounded so much better than it ever has. The audio from above was clearer and more defined, and I heard sound effects that I never heard before. I wonder if the latest 14.0 update has anything to do with this.

Just got it from Sonos Online Store last Friday. I am very happy with it, but when repositioning it before running TruePlay, I noticed that while grabbing it, I could hear a somewhat loud creaking noise in the left part of it. Found out that the seam on the bottom of the Arc is not flush but rubbing, causing the creaking.Already arranged an advance replacement with Sonos, but I wonder how common are these kind of issues. One other doubt: does anyone of you used the advance replacement? Is the replacement unit a new, retail unit? Sonos representative said so. Thank you in advance for your input.

Hey Gang! I have a SONOS Arc system currently as my main TV Audio set up:  The ARC is connected via eARC from my 2021 LG G2 77” panel.  For the rear surrounds I have two SONOS Five’s, and a Sub to round out the “Atmos” system.   The two inputs i have for watching content are 1. AppleTV 4K (primary) and 2. a Panasonic DP-UB820 4K disc player (for films I really love and want to have great sound/picture).   I have had no issues with the sound output fro the AppleTV, but with the Panasonic Player, if it’s encoded to 7.1 (using the Arrival - the Amy Adams one - 4K disc as an example), it only outputs to “Stereo PCM.” Looking at the sleeve it’s encoded to 7.1 so I am assuming this might be the issue. The other native audio tracks on the disc are unhelpful since the Dolby 5.1 is ‘descriptive audio’ which I don’t need.  My other discs (Dune, Blade Runner 2049, MCU films) are all out putting correctly.  Wondering if there’s a solve?  Conversely, when i watch Arrival on AppleTV (the version I p

Am I required to return the Playbase I upgraded to Arc or can I remove it from my system and give it to a family member?  Thank you.

Hi, is there a good way to test each of the speakers in the Sonos Arc? Would be great diagnostic feature to add to the app.  I’ve seen some one say put your head close to each speaker whilst playing, however, wondering if there is any other method.  does Sonos have anything that will put a tone through each speaker at a time?

The sound is great for the space but the IR range on it sucks so bad that I tried putting in an IR repeater with a blaster on the bottom of my TV, but I guess that the top sensor only works if it is mounted vertically. Any thoughts?

Hi, everyone !  I have Sonos Beam and Sub which is S2 compatible and an old Sonos Connect Amp S1 with in-ceiling speakers . Now it seems like there is no method to use Sonos Connect Amp S1 as a surrounds for Beam S2 ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have Sonos Arc with two Sonos Fives as surround speakers that’s connected to TV with my Roku box.  When watching tv, voice volume is not ideal as it’s primarily coming from Arc. I know I can adjust the volume in the app but it’s still not the ideal when watching. I end up pumping the volume up and. It becomes too loud.Is there a way to make the voice from TV come out of the 2 Sonos Fives I have? Also, when I play Spotify or Apple Music from the Sonos app, it sounds amazing (full and robust) as it’s coming primarily for my 2 Sonos Fives. How can I make it sound like that when watching TV (from Roku). Can I connect 2 Sonia Ones to this as well? Will it help?

Hi. This may sound like a daft question but do TV channels broadcast in more than one format? What I mean is before I had the Sonos Arc I had no idea what format I was playing as I had no way of knowing. Then before I had added the Sonos Sub Gen 3, the Sonos app was showing as, say, Stereo PCM and finally now that I have added 2 surround speakers it is showing as Dolby Digital 5.1So surely the same broadcast must be broadcasting audio in multi-formats at any one time? 🤔

I have a Sonia Beam connected to a Samsung TV through the HDMI ARC port. When the beam starts, or when it has been muted for a period, the sound is distorted and crackles for the first few minutes. After a while it returns to normal so it almost seems like it needs to ‘warm up’. Is this normal behaviour?

Hi. I have recently bought a Sub 3 and I have been experimenting to try and find the best position to place it.I have tried in the corner of the room, underneath my settee and behind me on the floor but I like my current position the best on the floor by the side of my TV cabinet. However should I be concerned that my Sky Q digibox is only around 2ft away from the Sub itself as I know that strong speakers (that are in the Sub) can affect hard drives abd there's one in my Sky Q digibox! Many thanks for any feedback.Cheers 🍻

Can I add two Gen 2 One SL Speakers as separate front left and right channels to a Sonos Home Theater System that includes a Sonos Play Base, Subwoofer, and two Play Five Surround Sound Speakers that were all purchased in 2018? The Play Base is connected to an LG 4K TV via an optical cable. The rest of the speakers are connected to the Play Base via WiFi.

My order for the Arc emersion kit shows backordered, Ship date from 2/25/2022. Is everything backordered or just the Arc? Can I get a partial shipment? The ones and the Sub?  Assuming there are many of us on the backorder list. Can you tell me what order dates are being filled now? Just want an idea where I am on the list.

Hi AllNewbie here and my 1st post.Soon to be purchasing some Sonos gear but need some advice please.I will soon be buying an LG Oled TV. to go with that I would like a great (surround) sound system.I have been advised that I should get the following Sonos Arc sound bar  Sonos Amp Pair of Sonance/Sonos Ceiling speakers It has also been suggested to me that the Sonance/Sonos Ceiling speakers  have there own amp built into the speakers, therefore they only need power, and I would not need a Sonos Amp.Is this correct ? Also the Arc soundbar would be wired to the TV, but how would it connect to the Amp ? would it need to connect to the Amp ? Hope you can throw some light onto my quiries  Thank in advance

Hi all,I am new to this.I just bought beam 2. Everything is working fine but not the Dolby Atmos.I have C1 TV, premium Netlifx and tried Disney plus too.Tried changing the HDMi cable that is connected to the the apple TV 4k but nothing happened. Anything else I could try? Thanks

I have a play bar and two Sonos one surround speakers and the system was working fine for three years.  The play bar is connected directly to the tv thru the tv audio  connection. When the play bar is feed sound thru  the tv, the rear surround speakers do not work, When you listen to music thru  the app, all the speakers work.  I have tried disconnecting and re connecting the speaker and this did not help.   I have made sure the tv is in Dolby.  Is is like my play bar will not talk to the surround speakers when feed by the tv.  My next step was to do a factory reset but looking for other options?

Hi all , just got a LG 43UP81006LR and the remote doesn't control the volume on the beam 2 , hdmi CEC is on and connected via arc , anyone any ideas ? Thanks
