Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have bought a faulty sonos roam in the hope of fixing it.It seems the nand chip has got a small burn mark on it.Not sure it could be replaced as I'm sure it would need to be programmed. What are the hope of me getting a replacement main board from anyone. TIAPaul

I have this device from CORSAHD: https://a.co/d/5o6AZirIt works great with my bedroom LG TV that does not have eArc and my Sonos Arc. It also has four HDMI In ports so you don’t need a separate splitter like you do with the Arcana. Lossless Dolby Atmos passes to the Arc just fine. The one issue I’m having is with any DTS-HD track. It converts every DTS-HD track to lossy DTS Surround. DTS-HD 2.0 becomes DTS Surround 2.0. DTS-HD 5.1 and 7.1 both become DTS Surround 5.1. When I tried changing my Blu-ray player from Auto to PCM, I just got stereo PCM for DTS-HD 5.1 and 7.1 tracks. I can’t find a way to get Multichannel PCM 7.1 like I can when using TV with eArc. I don’t think changing any settings on the TV should matter because I’m sending the audio directly to the Sonos Arc. The CORSAHD device should just be passing through audio, so I’m not sure why I would not get Multichannel PCM. Any ideas? 

Why is my android app Sonos app kept forgeting its system.

I have just updated my home network and introduced access points which gives me great wifi coverage and speeds. Can I put my Sonos devices on a dedicated vlan and remove my boost without causing issues. i.e. my mobile device will be on a different vlan will the app still work

Why does my beam suddenly make a crazy loud buzzing noise when I pause Netflix?System was fine and suddenly started acting crazy. Using hdmi-earc from tv to beam.

I recently built a Sonos home theatre system, piece by piece, as I was able to afford each component. I started with the Arc ultra and added two Era 300s and a sub mini. This is all hooked up to my lg g4 77 in OLED.I have researched all over the Internet and am getting differing opinions. My question is straight forward: I am using the era 300s as rear speakers. What are the best configuration settings in the Sonos app for surround, height, arc ultra, etc? Do I increase the bass and treble on the Arc, or leave that alone and only up the bass on the sub mini? Should I set music to ambient or full? Please give me a complete list of optimal config settings and I will be very appreciative! Thank you in advance

I can set or change alarm settings. The save button changes when I press it, but nothing happens.

Hi Everyone, My surround sound system is not working when tv is first turned on. The work around is to unplug the TV after it has been turned and plug it back and only then the surround sound would work. I have changed HDMI  a couple time, problem persist. Also, I would ensure that the output is set correctly. The surround sound works fine with music from when using the Sonos app.  I have two Era 300, two subwoofers gen 4, and one arc ultra.  Thanks.  

Hi everyone,I recently moved into a new apartment that provides internet for each unit via AT&T Community WiFi. I have my own unique password to access the internet, but I’m running into issues setting up my Sonos system.I have a Sonos Arc and two Sonos One speakers, which I’m trying to use as surrounds. However, they won’t connect properly, and I suspect the issue is related to the internet setup. Here are some additional details:The apartment’s Ethernet ports do not work. I was told that when the building’s internet was set up, the wiring was not labeled, so it would be a long process to get them functional. I’ve tried setting up the speakers over WiFi, but they won’t connect as surrounds. I’m wondering if the issue is due to the shared network environment in the building.Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Are there any workarounds I can try to get my Sonos system working again? I really miss using them! Also, I am not the best with technology so I feel really screwed here.Th

Can we have a S2 app complete rollback? At first, S2 was working for me just fine when the Upgrade happened, but then it was getting worst and worst everytime, now it works really bad, Music plays for 7 seconds or less and then skips the song and plays the 7 seconds or less and ends stopping at the third attempt… never had issues like this with the sonos apps, S1 works much better than S2, I have both, my S2 speakers are wired, so I don’t know what is going on… so, please!! Can we have the S2 complete Rollback???

I have a simple setup, 2 Sonos Ones as a stereo pair in my home office. I frequently have issues with the system not being found, or one speaker dropping out, meaning a frustrating time resetting, rebooting and trying to reconnect. Today, the app can’t find a Sonos system - I’ve added each speaker several times without any issue being reported in setup (speakers chime and seemingly connect). I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled. I can press play on the speaker itself and it plays the last thing I was listening to. Nothing has changed on the home network, wifi strength is good, everything else has remained connected without problem.I really want to like my Sonos system, but these repeated connectivity issues are just ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to regularly spend hours trying to identify where the problem is and set up the system up again.

Who knows why it is taking zo long to fix the app , that sound control etc react in the right way. Iam getting tired of it. If there are stil no improvements,  iam  going te sell it all and try another. 

In my opinion, a good center speaker is essential for listening to Dolby Atmos material and, in general, for surround sound. Sonos should add speakers on the front to reinforce those frequencies that are noticeably weak compared to the rear Era 300. Listening to music in Dolby Atmos is a pleasure, but in the Sonos configuration I have (Arc Ultra-Sub3-Era 300 x2) it often still loses out to a good stereo system due to this lack of power and definition in the center speaker. I create Apple playlists on my computer, going to the Apple service in Sonos on the computer they don’t show up. Also on my phone they don’t show up. If I create the playlist from my phone in Apple Music they will sometimes show up. I’ve long given up on using the Sonos library on my computer.

Hi, just set up a new LG OLED C4 with my new Beam gen 2.when I configured system initially it didn’t work (just Beam and Sub) until I spotted in Sonos app beam needed to connect to tv. I then added 2 x play 1 as surround speakers. Now the eARC hdmi on TV is not being seen by the Beam.  any suggestions?

Has there been any traction with a party mode or jukebox function within the app? 

You can install S2 on Android 8.1 without the Play Store by downloading the APK from a trusted source and enabling "Unknown Sources" in Settings > Security. Then, open the APK file to install it.

Hi guys I have the Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini and 2 Sonos Era 300 as my surround system. I added a turntable lined to Era 100.  Tv autoplay is set up as Ungroup on Autoplay so the Era 100 connected to the turntable will not be included when I use the tv.  Now i noticed that when I stopped using the tv and play the turntable with the Era 100 lined in, it doesn’t automatically connect again to that group (surround system+era100).  Any tips would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Have had Sonos for over 12 years. App and customer service absolutely suck!! All they are concerned with now is selling their b******* services. Any recommendations on the best wireless speakers now? So tired of my playlists disappearing or having to reauthorize my account. Just b*******… isn't even odd to me that they don't bother to respond to all of the criticism and issues we are all having. Hi,I am trying to use my roam 2 Sonos as external speaker to my Windows PC, however, I cannot connect to my sonos device as it is not showing up on my bluetooth. I am able to connect my roam 2 to my Macbook AIR and use it as external speaker and it works to my Iphone as well. How can I fix this issue to my Windows PC?

I updated my SONOS to Build 82259204 Yesterday.  Now, I can’t access SONOS due to issues with firewall configuration.  I have checked and SONOS is set to allow all incoming traffic. Any ideas on what the issue may be?  Running on Sequoia 15.2.

Hello!Is the Sub 4 supposed to show more details where the red circle is? I had a sub mini before that showed the details of the device, but for some reason it’s not showing with the sub 4. Any help would be appreciated!
