Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m sorry but as much as I like your hardware, I just can’t use your product. Your software team has let you down so badly. I have a sonos era 100 that I bought 3 days ago. Already I know I can’t use this long term. I’m using the system with an apple iPhone runing spotify and apple music. The Sonos is in the room where my router is. My other system (Denon Helios) works fine - never had any connection problems. The Sonos app had numerous connection problems out of the box. Then when it finally found the device (Im not sure how as I just kept trying and retrying) it locked it so that I couldn’t play spotify or apple music through it until I restarted my phone. Since then I find if I play from my computer and then from my phone the phone won’t connect until I restart it. Just to restate. This doesn’t happen with the Denon/Helios system. If you could see the ridiculous picture of my phone leant up against the sonos device. It is finding every other device in the house apart from the era

We are facing the following issue with a system where 2 Sonos Ports are connected to a Sonos Ready amplifier by Onkyo. Despite pass-through mode, the volume fluctuates unpredictably and constantly. Please advise. 

I was using Play:Ones in a couple bedrooms for white noise, but for the past several months+ the white noise (one "song" from Spotify, on loop) will change during the night to other music. The music change seems random, not when the track comes to an end.The music is not from any of my play lists, and if often of genres I generally don't listen to.No one nearby has or had ever had access to my Wi-Fi.Monitoring software on my laptop isn't detecting any network interruptions. The Wi-Fi signal at the speaker locations is 5/5 on my phone. Any ideas as to what is causing this, and more importantly, what could fix it? Thank you.

Just a warning to anyone who hasn’t upgraded their IPAD to the latest Sonos App (80.20.34) yet be aware that having updated mine it is now stuck in the “setup loop” issue where it prompts for me to go through setup EVERY time I launch the App.  To debug I deleted the App and Re-installed it   but that has made no difference. Diagnostics submitted but no solution from Sonos support just yet.  

After listening to a radio station or TV sound there seems to be no easy way revert back to playing the loaded queue for the device.  On the old (IOS) App (from a year ago), the now playing screen always used to have a ‘queue’ icon in the bottom left which would quickly enable the loaded queue to be re-started after listening to the radio or TV - this no longer seems to be an option with the new App?Can it please be re-instated.This facility is still available using the Windows PC controller (and also using SonoPhone App).  Would be nice if this were available in the official App.

Sonos ace says there is an update in app, however the update splashscreen continuously polls and doesn't reach a conclusion. This is after an app reinstall, a headphone reset and on multiple WiFi and also 5g. Any users had similar issues.Android 14 Samsung s2280.20.33

I have a perfectly functional Sonos Gen 1 system with several Sonos amps driving in wall and freestanding speakers and subs. Obviously the older stuff is not really supported anymore, but it still works fine. Question is…can I purchase a Sonos port and integrate it into the existing system to upgrade to the newest operating system? Will it then feed to the other amps (there are 4 total.)I hate to toss perfectly functional equipment. I typically listen to only 1 or 2 rooms at a time from my iPad or iPhone as it’s just me living in the house.

Why is the sonos system not playing podcasts lately? I get the "Unable to load content. Retry" message for a week now.  Ove tried various fixes. What works for iPad and Android phone?

I have a group of Sonos speakers and within the last two weeks the controls on any speaker will control all the speakers in the group.  THey used to be independent of each other.  For eample, we have two reception desks in the same group. If one speakers physical controls are changed (temporarily lowered volume or muting completely for a meetingt, etc.) every speaker in the group has the same change. The possible solution I’ve seen is to give every speaker a iOS device so someone can change the settings in the Sono app.   Not very friendly for business use.  Is there any way to set the controls so each speaker's controls are independent? 

why can I not play Sirusxm on my Sonos account via my Mac Computer. I get a Zero with a slash through it on each channel

I have recently got Sonos Arc Ultra. So does adding one Sonos Era 300 as surrround speaker would be good enough or need to add 2 . 

Hello - I’ve set up my Arc Ultra with 2 Era 300s as surround speakers and a sub 4. Everything is aligned from a home theater perspective in the app but I can’t get TruePlay to work.  I go through the steps and it plays all the test tones but then I get an error message as shown below. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app with no success. Have tried it multiple times and still get same error. Using my iPhone 16 Pro.  Any suggestions on how to fix? thank you  

HiI have recently bought an Era 300, set up a new SONOS account for my office (as hubby runs the one at home) and CANNOT connect. It discovers the Era 300, says it's on the system/wifi for me however, it is not there. It says there are no devices. I have factory reset the speaker about 4x now and restarted my phone, un-installed the Sonos app, unplugged the speaker...moved it closer to the router. Nothing works.When I touch the play/pause button the light flashes orange a few times then disappears.Ive been through all the Sonos help topics I can thinknof but still no luck. Can someone help?

My Gen 2 Sub worked fine with the old Playbase and still works when I pair it with my Play5’s.  I can pair it with the new Arc Ultra but it doesn’t work after pairing.  It shows up in the Arc setup along with the Era300 surrounds.  I can make adjustments to the sub volume but nothing works.It’s interesting that turning the sub switch off in the Arc group improves the bass.  I’m guessing when the switch is turned on the Arc turns down it’s bass.Sonos says they support the Sub gen2 with the Arc Ultra.  I’ve disjoined and rejoined to no avial.

What's the right way to do this, the app asks me to watch a demonstration video but the way the woman, does it doesnt match what this guys doing. At 1 point he's even got the mic pointing towards the floor :/ 

Hey y'all, I've had a gen 2 beam for a while now, today I picked up two era 100 pros, if I set the eras into surround sound I get zero sound at all from them, I can not even play music through the surrounds.  Beam works great, I'm beating my head against the wall trying to figure out why I can't get any sound at all.  I have the music part of it set to "full" and eras were fully setup in their respective "rooms" until I created surrounds with my beam.  What am I doing wrong that I get zero sound from the surrounds.  For the record I can turn up the volume on my beam from the era 100s even pause music play, just no actual audio ever through them.

Hi there, a really annoying problem: Got my Arc Ultra set up, eArc to HDMI, 2 Era 300 as rears and planning on buying a Sub 4 once the pain in my purse goes away.There are 2 content suppliers connected to the TV, an LG OLED65CS9LA: an Apple TV (latest model) and a PS5. Problem is with BOTH of those so it’s either the TV or the Arc. What happens is that after it was off for a few hours - like over the night - the system will only put out Stereo PCM. I have to manually change the sound mode in the TV settings (anything will work as long as I change it, auto, passthrough, no matter). All the other settings are correct, it’s just as if, when off for a few hours, the TV forgets to tell the Arc that it sends surround sound & me changing stuff will remind it.I read that it might be a problem with cheapo HDMI cables so I bought an expensive one and a super expensive one and nothing changed.I am very annoyed and would be extremely grateful

Over last week or so, I’ve been having a repeat issue with Alarms on my Play (s)The alarms simply appear to randomly disappear.    Very frustratingly - one of the Plays resorts to Sonos Chime, while the others remain silent.I’ve re-entered  the data may 10 times over the last 4 or 5 days ; they occasionally seem to operate once then disappears.Am I missing something, or is there still a underlying problem with the software?

Hi,I just purchased a new Arc Ultra and LG G5 OLED 65”. I have connected the Ultra to the eARC HDMI (2) of the TV using the supplied cable. On setup using the app, I received the message, “A device is interfering with the HDMI connection. Disconnect any other home theater products, then try again.” I have 2 other devices attached by HDMI, a Virgin cable box and an Xbox One. I removed all other HDMI devices and tried again but still received an error on setup telling me it can’t find eARC this time.The Ultra is, however, playing sound from all of the sources that I ask it to despite the TV setup failing every time. I’ve tried power cycling, ensuring Simplink is on, etc. but just can’t get it to complete setup.  It’s incredibly frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 

System:Living Room: Playbase (wired to router) with 2 x One in surroundBedroom: Sonos OneBedroom: Sonos OneMancave: Sonos ConnectKitchen: ERA300 I recently replaced the Kitchen speaker to the ERA300 from a Sonos One and in order to get the ERA working, I had to connect via wifi to 5ghz. Problem is, that I use a Universal Remote with a hub (Harmony) which needs the Sonos to be on 2.4ghz in order to control volume in the Living Room, so currently I have no control of Sonos volume via this remote. Before installing the ERA300, all worked just fine. Any idea how I can set this up please? There might be a setting to allow traffic between the two wifi networks maybe? I use Ubiquiti and there’s only 1 AP in the house. 

Here’s my issue, I wish to play my music Libruary not stream.The music is on an iMac under a named user (Shared) so we can play music and keep our own areas separate.The path way is shown correctly in the Sonos settings but after updates and even when the iMac has been closed down when I try to play music there is an error message saying that access to my user music Libruary is denied ( I assume it is because I am administrator) and ignores were the music actually is. If I re install the pathway it then re indexes the Libruary and then may or may not play music. This is driving me to distraction any advice will be appreciated 

I have three Sonos zones/rooms:Bedroom: RayLounge: Arc + 2x Era 300 + Sub 3Bathroom: Era 100The last month or so grouping has completely broken for the Ray. If the Ray is put in a group with any of the other two zones, it will only play music for a few seconds before turning into a few seconds of white noise. Then it goes quiet and the status light starts flashing, which I would interpret as a firmware crash followed by a restart. Feels like Sonos has pushed out a faulty firmware update, but how the heck do I troubleshoot this?!Grouping in general has been much worse the last couple of months. I've always disliked the Sonos client and typically only use it for group management, with playback handled through Spotify Connect. But the speaker groups listed in the Spotify client are almost always outdated, for example after grouping all speakers Spotify will show the group but the speakers supposedly in the group will still be listed separately as well.

I have a Sonos Beam paired with two Sonos One SL (2nd gen) speakers as a home cinema setup, and I’m really happy with the sound quality. Since I’m such a fan of Sonos, I recently added a Sonos Era 100 in the kitchen.The issue I’m running into is this: after playing music throughout the house (including the kitchen), when I switch to watching TV, the TV audio also plays through the kitchen speaker. To fix this, I have to grab my phone or iPad and manually remove the tv sound from the kitchen speaker.I understand how grouping works in the Sonos app, but I’m wondering:Is there a way to automate which speakers are used for TV audio versus music playback?Or is manually adjusting the group via the app the only solution? 

I have a Sonus Roam in kitchen. Sonus Beam(Named kitchen) in Kitchen and a brand new Sonus Beam 2 (named living room)in living room. When I ask alexa to play radio in kitchen Both Kitchen beam and roam respond and say playing radio station. The roam plays the station but not the kitchen beam but annoyingly  the radio comes on the Beam 2 in the living room disturbing anyone watching TV. The Beam 2 cannot hear me as doors shut and Microphones off. Any ideas thanks

I have an Era 300 Stereo pair as an output to a turntable etc via Line In adaptor (with ethernet). The left speaker is connected to the main EE Broadband Smart Hub via ethernet whilst the right speaker has no wired connection.The problem I get is that the right speaker often drops out. Sometimes this is fixed by a reboot but it literally happens every time I come to use the Line In.  I suspect streaming is OK as both units simply get the stream directly.I can’t work out a way to stop the right speaker from jumping to other channels or from 2.4GHz to 5GHz or from one hub or node on the network to another.Has anyone found a solution to this or a way to lock the Era to a certain node or some other solution?
