I recently purchased a Brennan B2 with the idea of using it as a whole house music system. I have connected the Brennan to my receiver to use in one room through the connected speakers, but I was hoping to connect to my Era 100 speakers to use in the rest of my house. The Brennan and speakers are on the same Wi-Fi network but my Brennan doesn’t see the speakers at all. I’ve checked the Wi-Fi signal strength and by Brennan’s requirements, it is good. Is there something that I need to do to get it to find the speakers or is there something I can do to get the streaming function to work? I can stream internet radio on the Sonos so it’s working with my Wi-Fi but not with the Brennan. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Brennan doesn’t, to my knowledge, integrate their software into a Sonos connection. You’d need to add a Sonos line in to your Era 100, and connect the Brennan’s line out to that, and then follow the instructions in this FAQ
The Brennan B2 does integrate with Sonos. Although on the Brennan website it pictures a Sonos Play:1 and does make mention of the Sonos Port. It could be situation wherein the Brennan integration software is not yet compatible with the new Sonos App. However, I suggest you contact Brennan for support on how to enable Sonos integration.

Did you try wiring the Sonos speaker to your router, even temporarily, just to see if that might perhaps work for you? If it does, then it might be a WiFi network issue that you need to resolve, especially if you are maybe using WiFi access points across your setup that are hindering the device discovery protocols that Sonos use (mDNS etc.)
There is the following guide on Brennan website to link Sonos speakers.
- Open the original web UI. Wait for your Sonos speakers to announce themselves - and a Sonos button will appear. This can take a couple of minutes but the Brennan will remember for next time so it's only the first time.
Are you waiting long enough for the speakers to be initially discovered?

I haven’t tried that because of the above answer, I don’t have an adapter that would work. But no one has said if the Port would be another way to connect.

The Port would be an expensive way to connect.
The simpler method would be to use the Line Out from the Brennan B2 to your Era 100 as suggested by
The Sonos aux cable would also work.
Thank you, I’ll try those methods before going for the Port option.
Do you use any other WiFi access points, besides those built-in, or wired directly, to your router? If so, maybe try switching off those access points (just as a quick test) and try the Brennan discovery process again and see if it then finds your Era 100.
It might even be worthwhile to just try using the local 2.4Ghz WiFi band only on your router WiFi network (disabling any other WiFi bands temporarily) to see if that maybe helps to troubleshoot the device discovery issue. If these things do go onto work for you (hopefully🤞)… then you can go onto establish the cause (eg WiFi band/network segment isolation etc.). I personally wouldn’t waste your money on additional purchase of more hardware at this stage… it’s still early days and hopefully the issue can be resolved without having to goto any additional expense.

I know I have been advised against getting a Port to connect the Brennan to my speakers but my local electronics store had one in used condition that was also an open box that I got at a good price. I hooked it up and it worked flawlessly. I’m very pleased and also glad for all the help and advice I received on both this site and the Brennan forums. Thanks again for all your help.
