Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Just reporting a bug really and doing it here as support chat has been impossible to get hold of.Recently upgraded to Asus BT10 wifi 7 mesh system. All my other devices connected fine (including the ancient stuff like nest thermostats, ring doorbells, my 14year old printer etc...) with the exception of my Sonos gearArc, Sub3, symfonisks bookshelves - none of it would connect.Trying to manually reset the network settings and ultimately factory reset didn’t work, it simply wouldn’t connect to the wifi network.Ultimately I found that disabling ‘Wifi 7 Mode’ within the router settings allowed everything to connect back up.  Wifi 7 mode is backwards compatible with older devices, as proven by everything else in my hose connecting to it fine, just evidently not for sonos,  they will not connect whatsoever to an Asus wifi 7 router if Wifi 7 mode is enabled.Hopefully this can make its way to the engineers and they can push out a firmware update for these devices to work fine on a wifi 7 enable

I moved to a new house which has 2 ceiling speakers with speaker wires already available. I have the Sonos connect s2 with only one set of RCA audio out connection. Two questionsHow to I connect the speaker wires(red black for one speaker and white green for another) to the RCA out on Sonos connect? Should I buy the RCA to speaker wire adapter on Amazon?Can I connect bothe speakers to the same s2? Will it have enough power to support 2 speakers? Connect both positives and negatives and plut into the same RCA?  

I just purchased the speaker Sonos Era 300 and I tried to connected with my Sony TV ( on parallel with the TV’s speakers) without result. It looks like that I have to choose if I want to play from TV’s speakers or from ERA 300 via bluetooth.I would like to ask what could be the possible options to connect and play on parallel with the TV’s speakers.Is the only option to purchase a Sonos soundbar, connected with the TV with HDMI and then from the application of Sonos configure as a multi speaker? 

My bedroom wall is against my neighbor’s wall, which means I can’t turn the music up too loud.I would like to be able to set that speaker to never go above a certain limit, regardless of how the “group” volume goes. In other words, say I want it to max at “11.” If I have all the speakers at, say, “3,” the bedroom plays at 3. If I have all the speakers at “10,” the bedroom is at  10. If I crank the group up to “20,” the bedroom stays at 11. The group goes to “30”? It’s a dance party in the living room, but the bedroom remains at 11.Note this is not at all accomplished with the “percentage” feature.

I have Arc + sub conntected to the TV e-arc. (for both streaming music and tv) I have a One SL in the kitchen. I have the devices grouped. Right now i have TV auto play on and Ungroup on Autoplay turned on. I’d like for music (streaming sonos or spotify) to play on both devices, but when i switch to watch something on the TV only, I just want the TV to play through the Arc only and stop all kitchen audio.If i have music playing through the group, then when i want to turn on the TV - the arc will play the TV audio, but the kitchen SL will continue to playing the music.If i turn ungroup off, the TV will play both in kitchen will play the TV audio, which is not desired. How do i get the kitchen SL to stop when the TV comes on?I understand its probably working the way its intended, but is there anyway i can set this up to do so automatically for music, tv, through zones, or rooms, vs groups, etc without having to pull out the app?

Added a beam 2 to my Sony a80j. Connected using supplied hdmi cable via eARC output.  Immediately had annoying audio sync issues. Have restarted everything (tv, soundbar, cable box) multiple times with no difference. Have played with audio settings on tv to no effect.  Problems are only when watching cable tv (Arris TiVo box). Streaming apps on tv seem to work fine. Can sometimes fix cable issues with Dialogue Sync on Sonos app but it’s never perfect and issues vary by channel. Plus have to adjust sync on app every time I switch to streaming.  After several weeks of this I am very close to removing the beam altogether and accepting it is a complete waste of money. I’ve tried all settings on tv but is there an agreed upon best set of settings? Is there anything I can change in the cable box settings? Any other suggestions welcomed.  Current tv settings fyi (have tried multiple combinations)av sync autoeARC autodigital audio out PCMpass through mode auto

Other members of my household are finding there are certain features that they cannot use in the Sonos app on their phone unless I provide them my username and password to “Sign in as the System Owner to see this content”. Why must I do this? This is very frustrating. I hope this is a bug because it is poor design otherwise.  I want to mention that I am signed into the app on my devices.

Trying to install Arc Ulta for first time.  Go to step in install were wanted to connect with my WiFi network.  Connection failed, so tired wired connection with same results.  Did factory reset.  Same results.  Any suggestions?

Hi, I’ve purchased the Sonos Beam Gen2. So far I’m a slightly unimpressed for a few reasons. First one, the sound is inconsistent between terrestrial TV channels.  Example, watching something on ITV, sound is spot on, clear surround sound.  Go to E4, Big Bang Theory, and the sound is tinny at best.  Then back to ITV to watch a movie and the sound is muffed, difficult to hear what is being said.  I’ve fiddled around with the settings but doesn’t do anything to improve the sound, luck of the draw per channel.  I’ve a Philips TV which at the moment is producing a more superior sound experience on terrestrial TV.  Anyone any tips to improve this?Streaming services such as Prime, Disney and Paramount so far seem consistent with the sound, but that leads onto the next thing that hasn’t impressed me.  I purchased the Sonos because I want to experience the rich sounds especially Dolby Atmos.  Imagine my surprise to find all three streaming services require premium subscription to enjoy Dolby A

Can any one advise me on how to connect a Bose Acoustimass 20 Sub woofer to my new Sonos Amp - I need to know how the cabling works as the Bose has a customised "Bose" only jack that connects only to a Base amp?

Yesterday I could access Amazon Music Unlimited as well as TuneIn thru my Sonos speakers. Today all requests to Alexa get the response “sorry that device is offline”. I have checked my Amazon Acct which shows my subscription is current. Amazon can be played through the app on my Android phone. On the Sonos app Content Services show Rova, Sonos Radio, and TuneIn. I searched for Amazon Music on ‘Add Content Service’ but got result ‘No results for Amazon’  

Hi Sonos Devs. Thank you for your amazing products and app. I appreciate that I can link my Apple Music account to the Sonos App. A couple things I would love to see, which would elevate my home sound system experience are:adding a Sonos widget to my iPhone/iPad Lock Screens so I can control the music from the Sonos App without unlocking my devices. AirPlay compatibility to stream music in Dolby Atmos.Many thanks.

I have an Arc and a Sub in one of my rooms. I get that the arc connects via 2.4ghz but the Sub is supposed to connect to the ARC via 5G network. However upon talking with tech support, I was told I needed to change settings on my access points due to the ARC needing to create two IP addresses (One for arc and other for Sub). Otherwise I’d have to plug in an old item and use Sonos Net. I was also told moving forward, the Arc Ultra, Era 100 and 300 will no longer have the capabilities to create Sonos Net even with the adapter. So …. Wondering others work arounds or how they were able to get a wireless system to work together wirelessly? Without having to change AP settings? 

Since quite recently, when I load an album or a playlist in the app and hit the PLAY button or Track 1, the app instead selects some random track in the list to play. This is even though I have not pressed the SHUFFLE button in any way. I have to press Track 1 a second time to get it to actually play.Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

I’ve bought a Beam 2 and added my existing era100’s and sub mini to create a home theatre. It’s ok with movies but very unnatural with normal TV. Anyone else had this experience?

Hi guys, I have problems with Arc Ultra and my surround system.I switched from Arc to Arc Ultra several days ago. From that moment, I noticed that randomly LEDs on the surround and sub blink white for a while, then it return to work good, but only surround speakers (IKEA Table lamp Gen 2). The sub gen 3, has solid orange light and not working! I can see in the app as disconnected! I have to reboot it to work again.What I can do? Thanks!

I’m trying to get my Samsung frame TV remote control to directly increase or decrease the volume on the Sonos Beam.   I’ve paired the remote control with the Sonos beam in the Sonos app. However, every time I use it, although it works correctly, the frame TV shows an optical message on the screen which is very irritating   The Beam is connected to the frame TV using a HDMI cable, and it is plugged into the optical port on the frame TV junction box via and HDMI to optical adopter from Sonos.  any help on this would be wonderful

Hi Anyone else having issues where BBC Sounds keeps going off and not coming back on? I only really use Sonos for the radio and the alarm. I've uninstalled BBC sounds, changed channels in the app, router, uninstalled everything else. Done everything as a standard and nothing is working. Funnily enough, it's been since the app updated on March 3rd and no matter how many times I tell them when I contact support, no one asks me about it..

Advice, anyone?  I’ve tried the solutions I’ve found online, but they only work for a few days tops and then I’m back to square one.I have 3 Sonos speakers.  The S1 app worked fine for a long time, and suddenly it doesn’t see any products when I open it.  So I uninstall, restart my phone, restart the speakers, restart the router, re-install the app, and MAYBE it will work.  SOMETIMES, if it wasn’t working before and I go into my mac and start the speakers there, the mobile app will suddenly see it.  the alarms aren’t working, the app isn’t working, I can’t manage the alarms, and after uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times and its still not working, I’m pissed.  I can’t connect my spotify or anything else to the speakers via bluetooth, which I used to be able to. Sound just doesn’t come out.  But if I just walk up to the speakers and press play, they’ll play the last thing I was listening to.  I’m so done.  I spent so much money on this system and less than 3 years later it’s frickin

I moved my Play:5 to another room. After that it kind of ended up in a hickup.I try to describe my problem. If I start playback of music from the Sonos App or via Airplay the Sonos indicator light toggles between orange and white. When I touch the play button twice it starts to play.As long asI don’t pause the music play on. Switching to another track works aswell.But when I press on pause and then start the music again the blinking starts again and I have to double touch the play button on the Sonos again.Is that a known problem? What can I do? I already did a factory reset. I moved it back to the old location. I tried Ethernet Cable. Same problem.

Back again with yet another Sonos issue that frankly shouldn’t be an issue I have three Sonos products: Era 100, Beam and recently, (which frankly was a mistake investing more money in this product), Roam 2. Someone please enlighten me why I’m able to use voice command on any speaker to set the volume of individual speakers but I cannot set my volume for my Roam 2 with voice command whatsoever. For example, I can tell my Era 100 to set the Beam volume to 5, I can tell my Beam to set the volume to 10, but I cannot tell my Roam 2 to change the volume of my Beam OR Era 100 OR even Roam 2, nor can I tell my Beam OR Era 100 to set the volume of my Roam 2. Any time I try to change the volume of my Roam 2, it changes the volume in ALL my speakers. Like this is honestly ridiculous. It’s the same software. How hard can it truly be to have it consistent across all the speakers? Sonos’ whole shtick is “grouping speakers” but they literally took this to a fault. I should be able to control individ
