My Sub Gen 2 wont turn on, no lights, nothing. 
I’d like to replace it but it doesnt seem the Gen 4 is compatible with the rest of my system (Playbar and 2 Play 1s for theatre, Play 3 for living room, and other play 1s around the house)
Is there a solution or am I best just getting out of the ecosystem now, as it’ll cost me a whole new theatre setup?

Your existing system is compatible with all other Sub generations.

You may be able to pick up a brand new Sub (Gen3) at a reduced price or check for a refurbished model from Sonos.

The Sub Mini is also compatible with your system.


Call and talk to Sonos support, they may be able to get you a discount on a replacement.


Since the Sonos Sub Gen 2 is no longer in use and the Gen 4 is not fully compatible with your existing system, it seems to me that the best option would be to repair or replace the Gen 2 device to stay in the ecosystem without replacing all the speakers.
