Speech enhancement turns itself off

Hi folks. I'm new to Sonos and by turn the community.

I have a Beam gen 2 and mini sub. The speech enhancement keeps switching off. I've read a community thread from a year ago discussing the same issue with the Arc ultra. That didn't appear to have been remedied.

Has anyone got any further info/ideas about how to fix this.

TIA.

Jay.

Hi @Choochmunk

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear about this issue you are having with Speech Enhancement repeatedly turning itself off.

If you do not hear a difference when turning Speech Enhancement on, then it is possible that the Beam 2 is not getting the instruction to turn the feature on, so when the app polls for the current state of SE, it is told that it is off and updates the display on the app to reflect that.

If this is the case, we need to improve communication between the app and the Beam 2. I recommend that you reboot your router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds. After about 4 or 5 minutes, your WiFi should return. At this point, please reboot both your phone and your Beam 2 (by unplugging it for a few seconds).

If that does not resolve the matter for you, then I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.
