Controllers and Music services

Sonos been working reliably for years. Update to 11.4 has result in the following problems:-On Windows controller (only one I use) Rooms appear and disappear in the left hand pane. Can’t group rooms (assuming they are even present). Spinning cursor appears and then nothing. Everything also seem sluggish (music search, adding songs to queue, etc). Frequent appearance of spinning cursor. Rarely if ever seen before this update.Have restarted router, wireless network, internet and all Sonos components but no improvement. Network is working properly for all other functions.Any help or guidance appreciated.

I’ve followed these instructions repeatedly:Open Sonos. From the Settings. ... Under Music & Content, tap Add a Service. Click on Add to Sonos, then select I already have an account. Click on Authorize, then enter the credentials of the Admin account.#4 does not fully exist...after I click Add to Sonos it doesn’t have an option to select I Already Have An Account.  It brings me to a list of streaming services.  I’ve already got my Spotify account connected to my Sonos app and now I’m trying to connect, invite, add (WTF ever you want to all it) my wife and/or my wife’s Spotify.  When I click on Settings, + Add a Service, then Spotify, it tells me I’m already connected to Spotify.

I've been dealing with this issue for about a year. I continually have to reauthorize Pandora to work with sonos. Sometimes re-authorizing works, sometimes it doesn't. Error messages vary but "can't connect to Pandora" is common. Sometimes there is no error message, but when I push play on a Pandora station, simply nothing happens. I've spoken to technical support three times so far. The only thing those people can tell me is that it's a Pandora "network issue." That's ***nonsense***. I can play Pandora from the app itself, I can play any other music service, including amazon, through the Sonos app. I can even play Pandora after we authorizing, or sometimes removing and re-adding the service. I talked to pandora, they stayed dead since it plays through my app, it's not their problem. That certainly makes sense. This is clearly an issue with Sonos and they are of no help whatsoever. Has anyone else run into this frustrating issue? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Communi

Why does Napster no longer show up in music searches? 

I listen to Deep Tracks almost daily, but for some reason it does not show up under Recent Channels. Anyone else notice this?

Hi all, Recently I had some playback issues with FitRadio and had to remove it from my services. When trying to add again, I click on "I already have an account” and it automatically errors out saying unable to authorize account. It won’t even let me enter username and password.I am not sure what I can do to reconnect. I am able to add other services like SiriusXM where it prompts you to enter your username and password. What can I do? 

I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio and now I am unable to connect to my music folders which are stored on an external drive. My old iMac didn't have any issues. The location of the folders was not showing up in Sonos correctly so I deleted them from the Sonos Music Library Settings and tried to add them back. When I try to add them, I get the following message:In the ‘Get info’ panel for the folder, Ive changed the permissions for SonosDMS from Custom to Read & Write, but when click ‘Next’ after entering the folder path, it gets changed back to Custom.I currently have the firewall turned off.Sonos is working as expected using streaming services.Apple Studio M1 MaxMacOS 12.3.1Sonos Controller 14.6

I can replay Pandora and Apple stations with no issues but SiriusXM stations display “Unable to play the  Radio station” message

Is there a fix? or @SONOS you need to get involved.

Initiating music from the Amazon App and playing on Sonos speaker no longer shows the now playing details on the Sonos app.  Just shows Amazon Alexa.  No HD or Ultra HD symbol showing either.

HI,  I recently added my iTunes music library to the Sonos app on my PC.  All the songs are there and its even plays a few bars of them but then loses connection and moves onto the next….its driving me mad….any ideas,  the music library I stored on an external hard drive wired into the PC.

Hello, I was on the phone with Sonos AND Apple today. Sonos says it’s Apples issue and Apple says it’s Sonos issue. I don’t see anything from my library on the Sonos app:Does anyone else have this issue? I’ve been having this happen since I signed up for Apple Music 5 days ago. When I search for one of my playlists by name in the search, I get the same screen I took a screenshot of above. 

Hi All,Normall when I listen to a podcast using my Sonos system when its completed it drops off my list in the windows app.  But every so often is doesn’t and this is happening on multiple podcast.In the screen shot below only the top podcast #338 is not completed. So #330 and #325 should have disappeared in the same way #1 - #324 have and #326 - #329If I look at it on the sonos android app it shows Again it doesn’t disappear like it should but it at least shows as complete. Under the pocket cast app is only shows 1 podcast #338 which is correct Do any one know how to:Make the podcast disappear once they are completed? or force the resync so it doesorShow the completed flag in the windows app? Thanks

For the last couple weeks I have had problems using Alexa to trigger Spotify music on my Sonos Roam.If I ask Alexa to play a song, the Alexa voice will respond and indicate the correct song on Spotify, but then... nothing! No music comes out of the speaker.I can still play music on the Roam via the Spotify Connect or Sonos App. It just won't play when I use Alexa.I have reviewed all the settings, and Alexa has Spotify skill enabled. This used to work fine. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I just signed up for Apple Music and added it to my Sonos account. However, I can’t see any of my library, with the error message: your library is currently unavailable, please check back soon. I have restarted my system, readded my account, and enabled library sync in my music iPhones settings. Is there something that I am missing?8

A few updates back on the Sonos 2 app a bug was introduced. My hard wired Connect Amp when playing my Music Library (iMac/iTune match ethernet) disconnects for ~ 10 seconds when it gets to the last 30-35 seconds of the song. Happens on every Song. I spent most of a day on off the phone with Sonos support. We ran through all the scripts they have, even wired the amp directly to my router bypassing the switch. Nothing worked. I finally unplugged the ethernet cable and went WiFi instead, that fixed it. Plug the ethernet back in and the problem comes back. It’s very re-producible, you can forward a song to the last 40 seconds and just watch it happed. The IOS and Mac OS apps show no error, they just continue to count down the song time as the speakers go off then back on. I ran constant pings to the Connect Amp as the drop out happens, they all go through no problem witch further points to a software issue, network is working fine. Music library is my iTunes folder on my MacBook Pro, running Monterey 12.3.1 2 days ago I was listening to playlists I had created from my library via the controller on the MacBook .Today I go to play music using the controller on the MacBook and the library isn’t showing in the list and I go into “manage library” and it is empty, no pathway to my iTunes music.I have added it again but now I have to wait 15 mins to index.Why has this happened, anyone else had this? 

Having this issue for 6mo now and didn't have before. Spoke with gaana many times but not sure where the problem is. Have seen similar questions in forum but none have valid response. I have gaana premium account authorized in sonos app. For many albums, it says not found or not available to play outside India. Attached screenshot below. But it plays fine directly using the gaana app. Somewhere with Sonos integration its failing. This needs to be fixed ASAP and not repeat as there are similar questions in your community for more than a year. Thank you. 

Recently I find I'm constantly having to reauthorize my amazon unlimited music account after Sonos seems to have ?lost access to it.  When I attempt to reauthorize, Sonos returns an Error (can't reauthorize).  I've tried deleting my amazon account from Sonos and reinstalling it but that dones't work.  This is a new thing after about a year with no issues.  You seemingly can only connect to AI digitial assistant via Sonos  as the assistant attempts to steer you away from any human.   At least I was able to speak with someone at Amazon.  No solutions so far.  Any thoughts?  Sonos you out there????

I was hugely pleased that a recent version of Sonos S2 allowed connections to NAS shares using SMB2 or SMB3 and set it all up successfully.I’ve done a pile of updates on my music, so decided to add the share into Sonos again.However this time, with S2 14.6, The Sonos Controller refuses to add the SMB share (configured using Synology DSM 7) under SMB2 or SMB3. It will only work with SMB1 and having NTLMv1 enabled.Has SMB2/SMB3 support been removed again without including it in any release notes?

Today is Thursday May 12: as of 4 days ago when I was waking up to one of my alarms I noticed just the annoying chime (which usually indicates something isn’t connected correctly or loss of communication). Well by Wednesday I was trying to fix it and every time I tried to reauthorize my Apple Music account an error pooped every time “saying one or more of your Sonos products needs updating before “this can be done”. I was in the beta community but I left thinking that may be the issue. Called Sonos and got some help he said I had to wait 3-4 days for the beta community ends my account. Will update in 3 days. But I’m pretty sure this is a Sonos issue. They just had some major issues with their online website, and billing platforms, and some upgrades to their controllers. 

“Unable to browse music” error for last 2 days when clicking on Calm music service in app. I’ve tried reauthorizing, remove and readd service, reinstall sonos app. All same result. Not seeing anything new on here so…anyone else? Submitting a support bundle if no one else is seeing. I miss twitter support for sonos that would have made this much easier to troubleshoot.  thanks

When will this be fixed??? It has been down for weeks. I opened a case and was assured Sonos was working on it and that it would be fixed soon. 

Good afternoon, I was using SONOS fine yesterdays and then today I am getting the message that sonos is unable to locate the server. I have contacted Apple (IMAC) and then have gone through all troubleshooting. This is a frequent problem and I am getting fed up with the inconsistency of use.
