Hi all,

Quick question: Sonos and spotify app are installed on an Ipad with internet. is the sound volume control (up /down) done via the internet of via de iPad ?

 

what can cause a delay when turning the sound volume up or down?

If you use the Sonos app, all volume commands are handled locally. If you use the Spotify app, the commands will arrive at the speakers via the cloud (Spotify and Sonos servers), so it’s entirely possible that there could be a delay here. I would be surprised if it is particularly noticeable for this reason alone, however.

Honestly, I think it may just help to reboot your router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds. Rebooting your iPad and Sonos speakers may also help, but I’d try the reboot of the router first.
