Controllers and Music services

Hi.  I just got a new MacBook Air with Ventura OS and M2 chip.  I migrated all apps including the S1 controller from my old MacBook.  The app started but I could not access my music library and it told me I needed to update.  Update attempts failed so I uninstalled the app, and now I cannot find an installation file to install S1 on Ventura.  Where can I find that file, and should I be able to get a “latest version” running on Ventura so I can use my Music Library again? Thanks,Greg

Since the update for spatial audio was released the not encoded error is happening most of the time. This only happens when using Apple Music via the Sonos app and is not just limited to the Era 300s.  Tracks that have been uploaded using the iTunes Match service display the error but other songs won’t play either despite everything being fine before.  I can get around this playing via Airplay or deleting the tracks from my library and adding them again from Apple Music. This isn’t an ideal fix though as I have lots of music that isn’t available on Apple Music. I also have 100s of playlists and I can’t do this to every one.  I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips that I’ve read and nothing has worked.  This is obviously an error caused by the new spatial audio music update; Apple and Sonos need to get together to fix this because it’s ruining the Sonos experience. 

When I try and connect to my music library on my PC running win 11 I get the error message that computer can’t be found.  I’ve tried on 2 different machines and it happens on both.  I’ve checked and the computer names are correct. Help have a party happening this afternoon.

As the title suggests, I am unable to play music from Spotify (Premium) using the Google assistant voice commands on any of my Sonos One speakers. I have no issues if I start playing music through the Spotify app, and then cast it to my Sonos One speakers via airplay. I have connected my Spotify premium account in the Sonos app, and set it as my standard service.  What am I missing?Thanks in advance.

It is possible to connect two different products (Era 300 and Move) and use them at the same time? It only let me select one of them 

Hi, I would like to connect iChill to my Sonos but it’s asking for my Sonos username. Where do I find this? 

Maybe because i do not have enough chances but every single time i found a good sonos radio station (after multiple hours of listening content) then couple months later the radio sudently come offline or disable. I do not know if eighter sonos or "tune in" streamer that do not want to pay to renew their liscence anymore. Or maybe the radio itself who do not want to stream anymore. God know why but it pretty anoying because i spend many hours to finally found something that i like for nothing. Is it a common issue?

Yeah this skipping issue is so finite that it is reproduced like a charm and throws everything to crap. Context: We have a yoga studio and on the studio side we have 6 Play 3’s and Sub Gen 3 and a Boost, in the lobby we have 2 Symfonisk bookshelf speakers. All teachers in the studio use Spotify. The Boost is hardwired to the router and everything else is wireless. The router is a Netgear Nighthawk running speeds I can never fathom to use and wireless connection throughout the studio is insane. I placed the Boost 6ft away from the router and both 6ft away from the Xfinity Modem. We removed our Sonos Connect, plus a Battery backup unit, all to reduce interference. We have over 16 people connected to our Sonos system, something that Sonos wasn’t prepared for apparently, most use cases never exceed 10 users, but we did. There is no Spotify in the services list. 

Some of my Spotify playlists have stopped playing on Sonos.  They play on Sonos if you airplay from Spotify, but if you try and use the Sonos app to control them or if you launch from Sonos app they don’t work.  But not all of them...it's inconsistent.  The longest one is 2000 songs, but even some of the under 20 songs ones don't work.  It started happening 2 weeks ago and I can’t fix it, despite reinstalling the app, checking everything is updated, switching off at the mains, rebooting the wifi router etc.  The main playlist I’m trying to play is a copy of my liked songs so it would be quite nice to be able to …. like I always did.  Any help much appreciated, sorry if this has been posted elsewhere… couldn't spot it.

Based on multiple recent posts to this forum, it’s clear that there’s a serious bug in the iOS version of the Sonos app. Even if you enter your email and password correctly, you cannot log into your account, which makes it impossible to do basic tasks, such as add a new device:  I really don’t want to try the suggested workarounds, particularly since I don’t trust that they’ll work. I shouldn’t have to create a whole new account, just to connect a device, then have to re-create any other aspects of my household Sonos network, my streaming services, and anything else that the new account will require.I had been

I recently upgraded my internet to fiber.  My Sonos app keeps telling me I am not connected to the internet.  Everything else in the house is working fine and I am able to access the internet just fine on my phone.

Hi everyone. If I’m listing to Apple Music on my phone (not through Sonos), can I then go to Apple Music on Sonos and make it take over?  I think with Spotify it asks you. But I can’t seem to find it with Apple Music. i don’t want to just stream through airplay because I hate it when I open Facebook for example and a video stops my music playback.  Thanks in advance. We recently moved from SC to FL. System was down 7 days for the move. While in SC we were able to listen music stations Pandora and Sirius. Since starting system in FL, Sonos is not offering Pandora and Sirius under Services. Why?

How do you delete a favorite channel from your listing ?

I’m embarrassed at the amount of time I have been talking to friendly support staff recently so will mention my current problems here first.  I have a S1 system that includes three Sonos Ones (downgraded by support).  Two of the Ones (Kitchen and Family Room) work fine individually from my tablet but, when I ask Alexa to play music on either one of them, both start playing and after stopping play they are listed as a group.  Alexa can’t hear across the 2 rooms.  Is there some setting that’s wrong? A second problem is my music library located on a 1TB usb drive.  Some albums will play but when others are selected I get “unable to connect to Desktop ….”, even though seconds before I was connected ok….Is it simple or am I on to support again?   Thanks.  

Can I add a Sonos Port to mutiple Sonos Rooms? I’d like to use 2 or 3 as audio sources for my russound audio controller. I’d like to integrate this with my home automation software to identify with outputs to enable in the russound. I currently do this with google Chromecast audios but they’ve become flakey.  Essentially what id like to do as an example is Port 1 in Living Room and Gym Room. When I play to Gym, the Port 1 will play the audio, my home automation system can see that Gym Room is playing and turn on the output zone for Gym on my russound controller. Port 2 would be Bedroom 1 and Outside rooms and so I can have mutiple streams playing simultaneously. 

same problem as others here. iPhone 14 wont connect to existing S2 system Is connected using my iPhone 12 Prom Max, Android Tablet, and Windows Desktop PC. Have jumped through all the hoops here including network setting location etc… rebooted numerous times. It looks like this is still a current unresolved issue. But going to ask the question anyway as I have noticed a quirk that someone might see as a clue.The Problem: For months now, Sonos no longer accesses the music library and Sonos alarms now default to the Sonos Chime.Environment: I have S2 app and current supported devices Play 1, 3 and a few others. I have been running Sonos and and various NAS since 2009, (currently QNAP TS453D fully up-to-date) I have done some reading on similar posts. This is not an SMB issue. I have tried all SMB settings on the NAS. This is not a firewall issue. I have tried fully disabling all rules. There is no 2 factor authentication on the account Sonos uses to access the NAS. This is not a network protocol issue. I have attempted enabling absolutely all supported protocols on the NAS. I have removed the library and attempted both the desktop Sonos App and the iOS app to add the multimedia library. Nothi

Hello!I am my wits end, any help would be extremely appreciated!We use Spotify/ Sonos to play music in our business, however whilst we’re away sometimes the staff pop on their own music which isn’t idealIs there a way we can limit what is played? I have a number of Stations from SiriusXM and TuneIn bookmarked in My Sonos on the iPhone S2 app. Occasionally I will choose Station ‘X’, say, and Station ‘Y’ starts playing instead. Station ‘Y’ is always the one most recently listened-to, although it is never currently active when the problem occurs. If I repeatedly try to choose Station ‘X’, it eventually does load after a couple of tries.Has anyone else seen this behavior, and if so, is it a feature or a bug?

There are a couple of albums on my system that I cannot seem to find in the Sonos app.  Ones a compilation by an artist called cerrone.  I had this issue before and there used to be a log file on the system that showed any indexing failures.  I believe that has gone.  Can anyone tell me if there’s any issues with my indexing?  Everything else seems to be fine.  Thanks.  

Is Sonos Radio now officially streaming content from the Deezer catalog and if so, has anyone noticed a difference? I know that some complained about repetition of songs and limited playlists within the Sonos stations. Was wondering if this is still an issue.
