It appears that the Sonos App is $9.99 per month. I don’t want to pay for that service. Can you please advise me on how to set up my Era 100’s with paying a $10 fee every month? Makes no sense at all. Thank you.

Methinks the OP is confusing the fee for Sonos Radio with a fee for the Sonos app. There is no fee for using Sonos, and the fee for Sonos Radio is purely voluntary.

The Sonos S2 app itself is free of charge. Have you subscribed to Sonos Radio? Or downloaded from a site other than Sonos?
