I have built in speakers in my new apartment and it’s sonos amp. I am trying to connect my tv to it and use it as surround sound. Is that possible?

If this SONOS AMP was previously owned, Factory Reset AMP.
AMP is a two channel device. As such it cannot alone provide surround sound, but it can be used along with other SONOS components to build a surround system.
How many built-in speakers are available and how are they located relative to the TV and your viewing position? Do you own any additional SONOS units?

+18You can connect your TV to an Amp, yes, but it will not play surround, as it can only play two channels with a bonus "phantom” center that it computes from the available sound stream. The Amp needs to be connected to the HDMI-ARC connection of the TV.
Are these built in speakers in wall or in ceiling speakers?
