Controllers and Music services

The latest app update is terrible. My system freezes and stops regularly. The que empties itself. Freezing and dropping all of the time. My network is fine, pushing more than 200 mb per sec. I have reset everything multiple times. I have deleted and re downloaded the app multiple times. Sonos roll this back until you have something that works. I would never ever recommend anyone buy into this ecosystem. (Luckily when I avoid the Sonos app and use airplay it still works!) this is 100% a Sonos issue. 

I had not experienced this issue until very recently, but it seems to affect songs originally encoded as SACD or other high fidelity codec. However, I have made sure to encode all my music as ALAC, which should not be a problem. Does the original encoded still affect Sonia playability? Any suggestions?

Persistent drop outs when playing Amazon Music via Sonos. Usually happens at the start of a song for about ten seconds and then reverts to normal via set up of playbar, rears and subwoofer. Sometimes songs stop mid way through for a few seconds ( no sound) and then resume or will not play at all. Virgin Media router hub 4 has been replaced with new hub 4 but it has made no difference. Sonos on Channel 11. Router is in a cupboard but the issue has not occurred until the last few months. Any thoughts on how to address the issue would be welcome. 

Hi It seems that I can't play music I downloaded on my phone... Is it normal ? It's really annoying. I don't even have the button to search through my phone's memory

Hi, I have always used a BOOST, but recently I moved my Port closer to the router and connected it by ethernet for the first time.  Since I did this, a few times per week speakers will disappear from the app (1 or more at a time, including the wired Port but also Play:5, 2x Play:1, and One).  Sometimes 1 speaker disappears at a time and sometimes more than 1.  Restarting the speaker and/or router usually solves the problem.  This has *never* happened before in many years of using all these speakers.Router is using channel 1 and SonosNet is using Channel 11.  All Sonos products have reserved IP addresses.I would prefer to keep the Port wired instead of going back to wireless, so I appreciate any input.  I am also wondering if I should not have 2 products wired to the same router.  And finally, despite reading several posts about it on this forum, I am not clear whether the wired Port should have Wi-Fi enabled or disabled (it is enabled now, disabling it caused worse per

There is Trend Fm in the list of Budapest local radio. I can not listen to this radio station in the last 2 days. Do somebody know  why?

Came back from 3 weeks away, turned on sonos roam, opened sonos app on phone and no option to play stored  music on my device. Radio only option! Where's my downloaded music gone???Why has the icon to access it disappeared from the app???

I just bought a bunch of new Sonos devices so that I could upgrade from Sonos S1 to Sonos S2. However, I cannot add Apple Music. Both on macOS, iOS and iPadOs, Apple Music is not in the list of services.Norwegian customer service tells me that this is “a known issue” and they are working to solve it. They have been saying that for a month, but are unable to give me any more info or an ETA of when this will be resolved. I am starting to become a slightly frustrated. Any ideas?

I found a different question in here about sound leveling and I am not sure you guys understood what was meant by the question.  What I would love to have is to have each song play at the same volume level.  I set the volume level and then a new song comes on and I have to adjust the volume level and then the next song is really soft or really loud and I have to adjust again.  It should be a set it and forget it system.  Can we have something that makes each song play at the same volume??

Hi,We use the S2 Sonos App - and Deezer as the music streaming service, I can see in the S2 app that its possible to change the Deezer profile - but nothing happens, so it seems to be an issue on the S2 side - as S2 can read the available profiles from Deezer but not selected themThis is a bit frustrating for my wife and kids, but also me as its mine account that is being used for all listingCan anybody please advise how to fix this? or even better @Sonos please advise when this small bug can be mitigated?Thanks in advance :)

I have been experiencing an intermittent issue, whereby internet radio is interrupted for up to about 5-10 seconds, every couple of minutes.This issue never happens when I am streaming music from my NAS drive, only with internet radio.I have monitored internet traffic and can see no spikes or other errors when the problem occurs.  The broadband is running at well within the capacity of the router.Yesterday when it kept happening, I changed the WiFi channel of the Sonos and today, so far, the problem hasn’t happened.  I don’t understand why this would be the solution, otherwise why would streaming from a NAS not also suffer?I have a Play:1, Play:3 and Connect in my system.  The Play:3 is wired to the router and is the primary speaker in the group.  All speakers are in a single group as I always have the same music playing in all rooms.Before I changed the channel I rebooted the router and the speakers, but the problem persisted.Any advice or

What is the plan going forward for TuneIn support on S1? The TuneIn (New) service is unavailable on S1, so once TuneIn (Classic) is disabled, that’s it I assume for S1 users?

Last night, June 7th 2023 approx 8 pm Mountain time in the US, I was able to browse my Amazon Music that I purchased and have been listening to through Sonos for a decade.This morning it only shows the first 5 artists…….Why and how do I fix this?Without my music library I just lost 50% of the use of my Sonos…...is this being addressed or is there a work around that I’m not aware of? This is making me very upset that over 4k songs are just…….gone all of a sudden 

So, I am fairly new to Sonos and I bought an Era 300. Love the sound but hate the app. Following advice from thts forum I was told that the only way to get my albums into the Sonos app from Amazon Unlimited Music was to add them to my library in Amazon MU. I think it was either add to favourities or my library or my music but it was click on the big plus sign. Did that no problem and sure enough they appeared in my Sonos appNow this is a pretty rubbish way to do it Anyway all was find until yesterday wh en about 40 albums disappeared leaving me with just 5I mean WTH? Anyone have any idea why this has  happened and how to recitify it?i had planned to order my second Era 300 but I just dont feel confident with the app and I want to play spatial music. Ta in advance

My wife uses the My Music page to save albums from our connected Amazon Music service.  Today she noticed there are now only 6 albums listed instead of dozens.  I also notice that what remains are just albums starting with the letter A.  How did they disappear?  Are they recoverable?

Only the first 5 artists show in 'my music'.  Same with albums, only the first 5 show up.  If I click on tracks, they're all there.  Search function works to find artists and albums.  I've deleted and readded Amazon and the sonos app. Still only shows first 5.  I'm on S1 and this is across all devices used.

The Sonos app on my Android phone and on my iPad are both showing only the first five albums in my Amazon Music library “My Albums” view (Browse => Amazon Music => My Music => Albums), out of more than 300 that should be visible.  I tried (1) forcing the app to stop and re-starting it, then (2) re-authorising Amazon in the Sonos app on my phone, but the problem persists.  My 300+ albums are still there in my Amazon Music account, because I can see them in the Amazon Music app.  Why does the Sonos app only show the first five?  Is anyone else seeing this?  Is there a fix?

Hi, after the update to 15.2, when I play Apple Music Hits, it stops playing within 1-50 minutes. Everything else plays just well. Only the live radio stations.I’ve noticed that when it stops playing, the speaker, which plays the Apple Music Hits station disappear from the Sonos controller for a second.Does somebody else have/had the same problem?I contacted Sonos support, however, they weren’t able to help me with that. I believe we tested everything (wired, wireless connection, router restart/update, restart all speakers, delete/re-add Apple Music service, ...).Any idea? Thanks,Jakub

Trying to add Apple Music app to Sonos. Comes up with “we ran into a problem. Pl try again” tried several times. Same result. Any advice ? 

Good morning, looking for some help here as driving me nuts now!BBC Radio 2, in this instance, but same with all BBC Sounds  stations. Drops out after 10-15 seconds.So far, I have hard wired a device, rebooted all devices, deleted app, re-authorised Sounds, and still have the same issue.If I Airplay from a device to a Sonos, it works without issues.Which leads me to the Sounds/Sonos issue? What can we try next?

I have been a happy customer for ages but what has happened to Sonos functioning in general ?  Why have things become so unstable, especially using the S2 app ?  Sonos not found ..  components dropping out, when trying to use spotify: “Your previous requests are still pending. Please resubmit this request later. If this message reappears, please contact Sonos Customer Service.”I hear the same thing from friends (who I recommended to buy Sonos in the past) … being unable to set up their Sonos device, unstable functioning …   Is it just me or are there other people having the same impression ?
