Controllers and Music services

Planet Radio this morning & still now thinks I’m outside of the UK & won’t allow me to play any stations.I’m not using a VPNThe App Planet Radio isn’t in the list of App’s for me to re download it. Any suggestions please?

Sonos app cannot find sonos 1 speakers after changing router. The prompts tell me device must be on the same system. It directs me to update system. That just tells me it cannot find the system. In a previous conversation a popular response was to go to settings/ system/ etc. The app won’t let me click system. How do I get out of this catch-22?

Is there a way to play on my Sonos system an MP3 file stored directly on my iPhone or iPad? My system has a Beam as a TV soundbar, and two Connect:AMP devices powering ceiling mounted speakers in the house. The file(s) are just simple files or are under the Dropbox app, but the files are stored locally on my device(s) and not in the cloud. Surely it must be possible to do this, but I've not been able to figure it out..

I have a S1 controller on my Mac Computer but when I go to the app store on that same computer there is no app for the S2 controller. I can find it on my phone but I want to add a music library and can only do that from my computer. Please help. 

Hello - I was hoping for some help please, I’m not great with tech.On my Sonos system, I have three Sonos Ones and I also have a Tidal family plan for me and my two kids and we each have a Tidal account in a family plan.When the kids try and use Tidal via the Sonos app it is set up as my Tidal accounts/ playlists etc and we can’t change to their specific accounts even if we select them.Does anyone know of a way to change this so it is specific to them please? I suspect that the problem is that I’m the main Tidal “owner”.Thanks, Eddie

what kind of controller can I leave that works in my home when a visitor or house sitter is in home?  There used to be a Sonos controller that would only work in home and I could leave for a house sitter to use. 

I have added YTube music as a music service but nothing happens. It says only no playlists available and I cannot search any song or anything else. I am also experiencing the problem with Spotify (stops when an advertisement starts). I have deleted and reauthorized the account several times. Is it possible to play YT music from my mobile and then connect to sonos?

I submitted diagnostics, 93086920Same issue as I’ve seen reported several times in other posts (with no definitive answer) - Songs stop playing at end of songs. Continues playing on my Play 1, stops playing on the Connect. Pretty consistent today, goes silent for the last 10-15 seconds (same as reported by numerous other users).I’m playing from the hard drive on my laptop. I have over 38000 songs in the shuffle playlist (which it won’t let me save, I believe I read several years ago that Sonos tries to save the playlist in memory, and there’s not enough memory in the first generation speakers). Therefore, any time the system glitches, it dumps the playlist and I have to reshuffle again (which results in hearing the same songs again sooner than I would like). 

I have bought a Sonos system and I am trying to connect it to Spotify.  It wants me to put the password in for the previous owner.  I can’t work out how to use my own Spotify account. 

My iPod is about 8 years old and it contains, within iTunes, my entire music collection.  I used to play them on my Sonos 1 speakers in different rooms using AirPlay.  Now the Sonos S1 app tells me I must use the Sonos 2 app.  But my iPod will not upgrade to a high enough IoS version to use Sonos 2.  What do I do?  How can I get my iTunes library to talk to my Sonos system?

HiFor some reason when using the sonos app (sonos S2 app) there are a few playlists that wont play. All I get is. Unable to browse music. Again, this is only on a handfull of playlists, the others are fine. they all play ok vie the Amazon app.Have tried a few things but no joy. Would be greatful if anybody has any ideas to the cause. Sonos System: Port output to Rotel A14 Mk 2 internal DAC/to a pair of Monitor Audio 20se speakers (living room), and a seperate pair of Monitor Audio 2se speakers (kitchen).I’ve also a pair of Sonos Play 3s in the kitchen, and a single Play 3 in a bedroom.The Sonos Play 3s succesfully play HD tagged music from Amazon (even though they’re the furthest away from the router).The Port (even though it’s far closer to the router) will play HD (and even occassionally Ultra HD) for a few minutes at the most before the badge disappears. However, if I link the pair of Play 3s in the kitchen,or the single Play 3 in the bedroom,with the Port, the HD badge stays. I suppose I could link a Play 3 (with the volume to zero) if I’m listening via the Port, but that wouldn’t work with any Ultra HD tracks.Any suggestions would be welcome.

Yesterday my Sonos speakers all lost Alexa voice control. I’ve got a pair of Sonos Ones and a Beam, all up to date. I’ve had this a few times before but I don’t have the option to reinstall Alexa - I’m just seeing the Sonos voice control  option. Has anyone else noticed this? I’ve reinstalled the iOS app on my devices and restarted the speakers but no luck. Any ideas? Alexa’s gone! 

How do you fix this. 

Hello.    On one of my apps, Calm Radio (not Calm) the implementation on Sonos (S2) does not allow me to forward to the next song.    The Forward button is disabled.    Does anyone know enough about Sonos to explain why this is?   My sense is that Calm Radio opted not to provide this feature on Sonos as it is fully active on their own native App, but thought I would ask here.  Calm Radio has not responded with a “why” when I requested insight.   I have not inquired to Sonos directly.    BTW, I love Sonos and like Calm Radio.  This is more a curiosity question than anything.  Thanks for any insights in advance.  

We have the Sonos S2 2 Era100 and 1 Era300 in our setup. when listening to Local Radio through the Streaming operator DR LYD from Denmark in Denmark very often it starts rewinding- starting back all over 1 or 2 hours. The problem started with the introduction of the S2 generation. Why on earth can’t it be fix - it’s so annoying! regards Flemming Sigvardt Copenhagen, Denmark 

When I choose my library from Amazon, no Podcast playlists appear?

Are there any plans to add this info at some point in the app? None of the major music services within the sonos app display it, far as I can tell. It might be a limitation of it not being in the sonos API, but can’t that be updated? When looking at artist pages, it’s not even clear what order they are in (new to old vs old to new). 

I am using latest Sonos2 app on my iOS devices. While I have system language set to russian sonos app is showing me some chineese (probably). Switching system language to english is working ok.Is there any way to get it working properly? Or its software bug? 

Haven’t been able to see full list of SiriusXM favorites in the Sonos app for what seems like over a year. I’ve tried reauthorizing the channel, deauthorizing and then adding back, resetting speakers, etc. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Playing live radio....... Especially BBC News Live Radio 5 & Radio 4Can play smooth radio but live BBC  WHY?????????????????

I use Amazon Music as the main source of music. I have a Move in the kitchen, another Move in Living Room, a connect amp with legacy speakers and a Sonos Roam.I go to play music in the Kitchen - nowhere else - when i get a message that Amazon is playing on another room. Nothing is playing elsewhere but cant get the speaker to play the queue. As there is nothing playing elsewhere there is nothing to turn off. I usually play Sonos Radio for 5 mins then return to the Amazon queue and it plays normally. I have re-authorized my Amazon account but nothing seems to solve the problem. This issue arises every few days on a random basis. 

Hi, after adding the Ark to the app (and to my account), somehow it’s added to my Spotify account and I didn’t give it permissions and I also can’t remove it from there even after revoking the permission inside Spotify. Just to be clear, I didn’t add my Spotify account to the Sonos app. why is it added automatically without asking me? how can I get rid of the Sonos in my Spotify account?
