Controllers and Music services

I’m using sonos S2 on PC with windows 11. The controller is running a Sonos play 3.I have Spotify and Itunes accounts.Just recently, Sonos cannot find all of my albums on Spotify, although playlists and songs are working ok.Sonos says its a Spotify issue?I cant get an answer from Spotify!I have reloaded Sonos and Spotify, updated etc. to no avail.Does anybody have any good news? 

s there a way to change the order of songs in spotify playlists as they appear in the sonos app?I’d like the newest added to appear at the top.

Anyone else having very small skips with Apple Music on 15.2.1?  Never had this issue before. The skips are a fraction of a second and clickless. It’s not skipping to the next song, but like you removed ½ second of a song  Seems to happen every 1-3 songs - don’t know for sure. There’s a Reddit thread on it so I must not be alone…

I’m a longtime Sonos user but recently I have been unable to drill down to albums in my Tidal searches. I make it as far as the artist, but when I click on albums…spinning wheel of doom.i have already rebooted all Sonos speakers and router. Also deleted Tidal and then added it back again.

I have applied track level volume leveling tags to my library.  Tracks play back at same level on computer speakers using MediaMonkey, MusicBee and WMP, but when played through sonos system volume of different albums is all over the place.  When I look at the properties of each file I can see normalization has been applied. Leveling was done using MediaMonkey.  Files are either mp3 rips or downloaded from Amazon, not iTunes.Thoughts?

Was there before as I've played via YT Music previously. No option now though.Any ideas?App version 11.2, build 571946310 TIA

Am I alone? My wife and I run the Sonos software on 2 iPads and 2 android phones. It is the most undependable software I have ever used. It will disappear from the network on either or both devices in the morning, reappear in the afternoon, and maybe come back in the evening, over and over. Nothing in our network has changed over this time, but whether Sonos will connect is always a guessing game. In contrast, I use Roon for my main stereo system, running it on my iPad and phone. It has never dropped off the network- not once. I am mostly venting here, but if anyone knows a 3rd party app that will run our Play 5, I would love to hear about it. Thanks.  David

I cannot recommend Sonos products for those with large libraries.  Their recommended fix for indexing is to use Plex.  I find Plex to be awkward and slow for music.  But most importantly, it does not import playlists (m3u).  I have a significant time investment in playlists and Plex is dead to me.Maybe there’s better support with Plex Pass, which is a subscription.  But why should I have to pay another company to use Sonos, who I already payed.Other suggestions such as dividing folders just for Sonos is not practical.  Again, large library.Bluesound has a much larger limit.  I’ll be adding this comment wherever Sonos is sold.  

sonos app doesn't shows the speakers but  spotify shows it and able to play the music. All speakers connected via WiFi. I need to group 2 speaker together that's why I need all the speakers shown in the Sonans app

Hi. Running S2 on a system with kitchen (play 3) , dining room (connect amp),  2 bedrooms (beam 2+ play1) and garage (play bar), with a boost hardwired to my router (archer AX11000). We listen to live radio on BBC sounds, usually in a group with the kitchen and dining room. Everyday, the dining room cuts in and out, and sometimes we lose all speakers playing from BBC sounds.  Diagnostic 542872192 taken from last night.  Any ideas??  cheers Andrew Edit:The system is working OK so far today. I have a Music Library on my desktop computer (PC) that is shared with my Sonos Move 2 speaker. I would like to ADD several albums to my Sonos Playlist, R&B. It appears that I can add individual tracks but not albums to the Playlist. Is there a way to ADD albums in their entirety?

Prior to purchasing Sonos products I was using Apple Airport Express to wirelessly connect to compact stereos around the house.  Is it possible to connect to the Airport Express with the Sonos app?

Ever since the last S1 software update, I’ve been unable to add a 1,400 track playlist to the queue.It was usually ok before that, it now fails every single time.It times out after 10 seconds.Short playlists are ok.I’ve rebooted the router and all the speakers.I’ve got a Play5 connected directly to a Bridge via ethernet, even on its own it fails.I can play on Spotify and then use Sonos speakers, but I can’t set that up as an alarm.

My Music Library is shared both from my wife’s Win 10 laptop and my Linux laptop (running Linux Mint 21.3), which shares my Music folder via samba.  After the SONOS update to 16.0, my system doesn’t recognize the Music folder on my Linux laptop, and I can’t re-add it to the library.  Nothing was changed on my laptop, only the SONOS software update.  I can see the Music folder on my laptop using File Manager on my wife’s laptop, so I know it’s sharing properly on our home network. I’ve added these lines to smb.conf as I’ve read in various SONOS support threads, but no joy:[global]server min protocol = NT1unix extensions = nontlm auth = yesHas anyone else experienced this issue after updating?  And has anyone found a solution?

I had an issue with Planet Rock App premium keep cutting out. Went through support, they decided it was a Planet Rock app issue. So I canceled my premium subscription and started to listen through the TuneIn app, which never cut out.That is until I have just updated to the new TuneIn app and guess what - its now started to cut out every 4 mins or so, so just the same behaviour as the Planet Rock app had.Doesn’t cut out on iPhone or iPad. I don’t have a premium subscription on TuneIn, so it is not a authorising issue. Planet Rock is fine from Sonos Radio as well. 

I am constantly having to change the volume when playing back songs in playlists created through Apple Music. Is there a way in Sonos to equalise / normalise the playback volume?

Can I play Sonos Radio on my iphone air buds? I do have Sonos speakers at home, but when I go for a run I want to continue the same station.

Hi everyone,First of all sorry for my english I’m french…. :) I have a problem to use my sonos arc with AirPlay. When I want to listen music with airplay from m IPhone, it askes for un password that I don’t have…I have read a lot of topics about it….I reset my sonos I don’t have my sonos set in my app homeI don’t know what I can do more…If someone have a solution ? :) 

After the recent Sonos update, Sirius channels will not play through the speaker.Please advise of the fix for the Sirius channels not playing through the Sonos speaker after one proceeds with the most recent Sonos update.  Thanks.Moderator edit: combined posts

Hi. I had in issue with One that is still present on Beam 2. I can’t add Tidal to the Sonos App (connection error). Neverthless, Tidal sees the Beam and I can play music (it was very shacky on Sonus One, seems to be better on Sonus Beam) and also I can see it (the Tidal Song I’m playing) in the SOnus App. But every time I stop, everything starts again:the Sonos app ask again to add Tidal (with username, password and so  on) the registration is fine but connection error when I switch to the Sonos App-Tidal sees the Beam- I see the song in the Sonos App. Somehow it works, but I would like to add Tidal to the Sonos App.  

Hi,I just purchased a CR200 controller to use with my Play:3 speakers. I downgraded one speaker to S1 and got it installed on the S1 app. Works fine. Now I wanted to connect the CR200 after I did a factory reset and place it in the cradle. So I went through the setup and pressed the play/pause and + buttons on the speaker to connect, but nothing happens..Saw some old posts about it, but there were no fixes. I did read somewhere that an old software version below 4.2 may not work on more recent Sonos systems. But thats a bit vague... What is 'more recent'? And where do I check this on the CR200? I can only enter setup mode, nothing else.Please help, because I paid quite some cash for it. Thank you!

Hi, I’m a newbie here and new to Sonos. I’ve been using Logitech Media Server (LMS) for music at home until recently.I have a big library of MP3 files that I want to copy to a NAS drive that I have just installed on my home network. That’s all working fine and I can index some initial test content OK in the Sonos Music Library.I can see that Music Library has fewer options to configure than LMS had around how the music is presented - particulary over compilation albums and multi-disc albums. I obviously want to minimise the amount of re-tagging that I have to do and would welcome advice.I found a thread on here about compilation albums and it seems I can’t rely on the COMPILATION=1 tag that I had used in LMS, and instead need to use ALBUMARTIST set to “Various Artists” along with other settings about how albums are grouped to achieve the same effect. I’ve got that working OK and it will need a fair bit of re-tagging of my content but that’s OK.The one I’m

Going out of my mind here folks !!Sonos speaker starts playing a Spotify playlist (much later) after I have left the house & WiFiCurrent hardware/software which is obviously always changing with updates:> Iphone 15 Pro> Spotify App and also desktop versions on Macbook Pro and Air. > Sonos (plenty of them around the house) w/ 1 continual offending culprit - Sonos Play 1Problem statement:Go in to home gym, utilize Iphone 15 Pro to play music from Spotify App to a specific Sonos Play 1.
