After a moving I’m installing my Sonos product in my new home. During the process to add my Sonos Connect to the Sonos system, I get the message “press the button whit the white blinking light”.I have pressed it many times, but the app answer me “we do not detect the pressure of the button” and the process halts. I have repeated it many times and I got always the same result: installation failure. Any suggestion?
Hi everyone,I am a beginner in this field. We got this second hand system in my house. We have Sonos speakers installed in the walls and ceiling. We have an entertainment stand with Apple AirPort Extreme, a switch, a Sonos connect, a Denon AVR-X2600H and a subwoofer. There is another Sonos connect in the pantry room connected to other wall Sonos speaker. I don’t see green light on sono connects and cannot hear sound from speakers. Appreciate any help and assistance.
I have a Sonos Amp and the Sonos App. When I try to use the IOS Home app to connect to the amp or direct AirPlay from the iPhone, it asks for the AirPlay password (see screenshot). I’m not sure where to set this and whether it’s functionally correct.
Sonos had been doing well with a Connect:AMP unit, but then started to drop out. I unplugged the AMP and plugged it back in, and now it is off the network. The Android app I have is 80.09.04-release+20240917.6a71457I have a pair of left and right Play:1’s and they work fine. I have a Roam SL and it works fine. The Connect:AMP shows up in it, but every time a try to play something, I get “Something went wrong.” So what went wrong? How can I find out?
Hey guys,I have just bought a Sonos Amp and have connected my record player to it via the RCA outputs, I’m just wondering if I can also connect my cd player? Is it possible to use an HDMI cable from the HDMI output on the Amp then attach a Sonos Optical Audio Adapter which then plugs into the Optical output of the cd player? Thanks!
Have turntable and port.has been working great across full system. Now no sound. Says line in and shows music but not coming thru speakers
amp is ready to connect ( flashing green)but it doesn’t Been rebooted - all ok until time to press the button & nothing just note that button not pressed
Hello. The 3.5” driver foam on a Play:1 speaker has cracked. I believe this was a common problem. I want to replace the entire driver. Does anyone know of a direct replacement? NB that the (4) hole pattern of the driver’s frame is (oddly) 72 x 77mm. Codes I have found on this driver are: (front, in the rubber surround) SONOS 405-00314 REV A CAV 31; (rear, on a small white sticker) 180-00057 PHWP17102602185
The light on my Bridge is flashing /blinking very fast at least 5 times per second no action on the buttons does anything !! Obviously not dead but cannot include in my setup!!!what can I do ?
the sonos do not succed to connect appli sonos.
My Sonos Amp (connected to an LG TV using HDMI ARC) appears to randomly mute the sound output without any user intervention. It usually mutes about 8-10 min into playing:The sound cuts out, the Amp’s green light comes on for about a second, immediately turns off again, and the sound comes back. This whole spiel repeats about 5 min later.Yes, everything is on the latest software, there are no neighbours having fun with my setup, no apps are interfering. It appears to happen just by itself. And only just started about two weeks ago out of the blue.Any solutions?
Hi, I have an existing small multi room setup.I have a Brennan B2 which speaks to Sonos. Sonos system is a portable roam in one room, and a Sonos one in another.I have a bang Olufsen system in another room. I would like the B&o system to appear on the Sonos system so I can send music to it in the same way I can imagine the other rooms. Is this possible? Many thanks.
I have 5 x Sonos 1 and 1 x Sonos SL (the one with Alexa). All the speakers run off the new app (App2 I think). I play my music via Spotify. I want to play music from my turntable and have been told I would need a Sonos 5 as it has the socket required to run an alternative music source through it. To keep costs low I was hoping to buy a 2nd hand Gen 1 Sonos 5, but a few sellers say it will only work from App1. Yet I run both Gen1 and Gen 2 Sonos 1’s from the new app. Would I be ok in buying a Gen 1 Sonos 5 to get what I want, connect my turntable. Hope all this makes sense.
Been a Sonos user for many years with double digit zones throughout the house. Recently upgraded to S2 a few months back. I have a sonos connect amp (s2 compatible) that a I purchased recently. When attempting to add the connect amp, the app immediately recognizes it and connects to it for the set up process. However, when I get to the final stage of pressing the play/pause button when it is blinking, it always fails to recognize the button press. I eventually get the message that “we didn’t detect a button press from the Connect: Amp with the flashing light. I’ve reset the connect amp several times and I’ve also tried connecting the device via ethernet cable without any luck. Any other options? Very disappointing to be running into these issues.
Hi, I normally flip my eras in and out of surround sound mode for my beam.. however it won’t let me tonight as it it’s asking for an update to the system. Looks like it’s an old gen 1 connect causing issues. I thought it was dormant as I’m only working on s2 and didn’t expect that to be visible (which it isn’t in the homepage) I’ve tried doing a factory reset on it and downgrading it to s1, but this fails. Any ideas how to lose it completely from the state so s2 operates normally?
new EE hub does not see sonos S1 port
What is the maximum recommended distance to connect Sonos Outdoor by Sonance and a Sonos Amp, as well as the cable gauge?
I have had this problem in the past (using a CONNECT), don’t recall how it got resolved; but it’s back. I now have a PORT that is getting RCA inputs from my Cable Box so I can listen to TV broadcasts around the house. The last two days, I’m getting continuous drop outs of audio on my Play:3 (literally plays for seconds and drops out for seconds, rinse & repeat). I haven’t tried other SONOS devices, but I know at least two weeks ago, I had no problem using my Move for this same function.
Once my new Roon Music Server arrives I will begin phasing out Sonos forever, by replacing my flakey Sonos speakers with hardware that does NOT impose inscrutable proprietary constraints, thereby creating a horrible user experience. Goodbye Sonos. See you in joyless non-musical hell.
I have a sony str dh590 receiver hooked up to two wharfdale evo 4.3s and am trying to bring it into my system via the sonos port. I bought a pearl digital optical cable but it doesn't connect to the digital out on the sonos. What cable do I need? ( i got the port second hand and the only cable in there was the rca cables)
I had a Creston and Sonos sound system installed about 18 months ago. My system just stopped working My installer tells me my Port is bad. Surely they last longer than 18 months. Can I get a refund?
Music was playing during the day and stopped for no apparent reason. tried to reconnect without any success. reset systems , same thing. close power for 10 min, same thing. was showing “something went wrong” every time I tried to reconnect. any idea ??
Sub connecting to wifi, but not working
I just upgraded to the new Sonos App and the dual mono setting for the two Amps I run is missing. I used this setting for single ceiling speakers in different rooms. This has to be brought back, I can’t have the right channel playing in one room and the left in another.
I haven’t used my System in a wile, and tried ti listen today, and it is not working. My system is comprised of2 Play 5’s <Gen 1>1 Play 31 Sub <gen 2>1 Zone Bridge Gen 2>All of the components light up, but not the Zone Bridge. The only thing that has changed is the Router, which was swapped out last year, so I assume that is the problem I need fixed. If some can give my instructions on how to access my router, and fix this problem, I would be appreciated .
