Hi everyone,so I have up and running 3 Sonos One (Gen 1) speakers since forever.Today, however, I noticed that one of them does feature a different hardware-version number than the other two — 1.21.1.8-2.1 VS 1.21.1.8-2.2Given they‘re all Gen 1, shouldn‘t they all come with the same hardware-version? Appreciate your insights! Cheers!
Since the new app was introduced, my pair of Era 100 will not stay in sync. The delay from one speaker to the other keeps increasing. After setup, withing a day when I turn them back on there is an “echo” due to delays. Within a couple of days they get even further apart in timing to where it is totally unlistenable. If I reset my router, this most often seems to fix the problem, but I don’t want to have to do a twice daily reboot of my router, nor was this necessary at all before the Sonos update to the new system. If I try to remove the stereo pair and then recreate the pair, then only one speaker will have sound in the pair.So I end up power cycling the speakers, rebooting my router, have issues with the speakers being found, then finally put them back into a stereo pair, but this is crazy. I have wasted so much time on trying to get these speakers to stay working as a stereo pair. None of the updates have made it any better.I have tried giving the speakers a fixed IP address assignme
A device is connected with router1 and B device is connected with router2 with same account. Then, is it posssible to control B device with sonos app when phone is connected with router1?
I have many Sonos products, including ARC, Play 5, One’s and 2 x Play 3’s.Suddenly the Play3’s stopped working, after resets, they appear in App & Computer, and play together, however won’t group with any other product, it just says “Unable to Connect, Please try later.I have factory reset, and got everything else working, The Play 3’s work together, just not grouped with other products. Any advice?
Hi there, I have a set up with 4 Era 100’s and one mini sub. now I bought 4 Ikea bookshelf Symfonisks and successfully set two up in one room as a stereo pair. However the other two just will not connect. It says they are connected when I install them but they don’t showup on System settings (and yes I unplugged and replugged) and interestingly they never connected to the wifi during set up so I’ve factory reset both of themmultiple times but to no avail. I’m certain it’s not a wifi or connectivity issue.the two that won’t set up are going in a separate room to other speakers. has anyone had a similar problem?
Updates repeatedly fail. Individual speakers require repeated factory resets. Don’t buy SONOS if you want to take it to your vacation home for a few days. Setup is extremely painful and time consuming.
Factory reset my ROAM and connected it to network but whenever I try to add it get errors message “not able to connect, try again later’
Hardware update this morning. Some but not all EQ related settings changed as far as I can tell. Nothing for the Ace.Anybody have ideas what's addressed this time?
I have replaced my standard Sky broadband router with an ASUS RT-AX58U and everything works fine apart from the Sonos Play1 and Play3 which will not connect. When I plug the Sky router back in and run the Sonos setup everything works again. Is there a compatibility issue between Sonos and the ASUS router or are there particular steps I should be taking?
I have been meaning to get the Sonos era 300 pair, for my living and entertaining area. The intention is to use the pair and a sub as a speaker system for parties and hosting majorly, I also have a separate TV area where I can shift the era’s as surrounds whenever required. Now, I have two options for placement, attaching design drawings for the same below, since the entertaining area doesn't have too many walls, I am struggling a bit with the placement. I will also buy a sub to give the era's more oomph when throwing parties. It would be a great help to get some opinions before finalising the drawing with my designer.I am also attaching a third drawing which gives area specifications, it's an L-shaped room that is 30 ft x 11 ft 6 in (if only including the entertainment area) the living area extends in that L shape adding another 11 ftPSI will be wall-mounting both speakers. I have a few questions regarding the same - I am more inclined towards the second placement since in the first pla
I use to be able to control the volume with my iPhone volume up or down and now I can’t, Lame , what’s up with that?
Verbindings problemen mijn hele systeem is uitgevallen hoe nu verder gr E Compagner
It stops playing music all the time. I have followed every step instructed by sonos and nothing solves the problem. I am ready to trash the whole system and abandon the sonos company al together. They know nothing about sound and tech when put together. And there tech support is sub standard. I will by bang and o for my next system or go back to studio speakers
I have updated to the new app. I have two speakers. The Play1 is working fine but the One SL , although it is showing, will not play. I have factory reset it so system can find it, that worked fine. I can see it in settings in the list and the room it is in. It just won’t play!Any ideas please?
I got two Era 100 speakers yesterday and set them up using the SONOS app. I paired and even tuned them. I expected stereo for every device and app I connected, but that’s not what happened. At first, two SONOS era 100 with stereo pairing played left side only. I unplugged both speakers. later, the Sonos app played stereo for Radio or Spotify attached to the app. Switching to some other app outside of SONOS goes back to a single (left) speaker - and stays there until I unplug both speakers. Also, I cannot get stereo to play from our iMac ever (the whole reason I got these speakers!!). To get stereo from the SONOS app, I must unplug both speakers and then go straight to the SONOS app on my phone. what should I do so that both speakers play in stereo mode regardless of which device I use? I also want to use other apps besides SONOS on my phone.
So new internet provider and router. Speakers can’t be found/ connect to new system. Do I have to do a factory reset or am I missing something here?
good evening, I have a question. I bought two Sonos ERA 100, I wanted to connect them to my hi-fi system. if I bought the original line in adapter and I connect it to the system, do both speakers work or just the one connected with the cable? does the speaker not connected via cable communicate with the other one that I connected with the adapter? thanks
I have been trying, to no avail, to manage my SONOS One SL, through hard reset, factory reset, WiFi and WLAN connections. Incredibly frustrating. I get the following message: Sonos One SL has been added but may not appear in the system settings. In this case, unplug the power cable and plug it in to complete the setup via the system settings. This system message obviously doesn't help to resolve the issue. While the SONOS appears to go through the configuration and rest, it does not appear in the app. When I attempt to AirPlay, the speaker shows up as Unnamed Room. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the AirPlay connectivity results in the speaker only 1 in 9 or 10 times being available to stream to. I can’t even access the speaker from the app to play directly from SONOS or local library as it doesn't even show up in the app as a connected and configured/manageable device. So annoying. Anyone else getting this? Any suggested troubleshooting? I have updated all the components, app, ph
Hii I have a pair of 5 Gen 1 speakers which were fantastic and I still think of ways to do so. Could I take an analogue output from the Sonos Amp into the aux socket on the 5s (with the correct cable!) and use the amp to divert sound and control the volume controlled via the gen 2 app? It makes sense to me but I’m sure Sonos have a block for it.
As of this morning, the microphone on the Sonos Beam is not responding to input. The light is white, but doesn’t blink or dim when I say “Alexa” or “Hey Sonos”. I can switch the microphone on and off manually by touching the button. I’ve unplugged it, waited 30 seconds, and plugged it back in. The Sonos app on my iPhone shows everything is connected and working. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing Alexa on the Beam, but no joy. I installed Sonos voice control on one of the Era 100s, and that works as expected. Any assistance will be appreciated.
I have my Sonos Play:1 configured to play an alarm at 6:30 am every weekday. The alarm is set to shuffle a private playlist from Spotify. It worked fine for a few days, but now I can never get it to work, it always plays chime instead. I have no connection issues to the speaker when playing music normally.I have a diagnostics report from me just testing the alarm at 5:29 pm today. **********Moderator edit: diagnostics number recorded and removed
I have 2 Move speakers and two Era 100’s. Both sets are used as stereo pair. Is that the best way to have them? Do I need a subwoofer to go with these 4 speakers?
I have Sonos now many years and all of a sudden, the Alarm clock does not work anymore.I plugged and unplugged everything like you can read this everywhere - no success.Tried to reset the WIFI but the answer is always: can not find a device. This is strange as I can turn on the radio without any problems and if I would not have WIFI, the radio would not play. What else can I try to get the ALARM working again?
I recently upgraded to BT Fibre 900 with a new EE Smart Hub router. However since that happened I cannot get my Sonos Arc registered on the Sonos App and therefore no connection to the Sub. The Arc is showing as a connected device on the 2.4 Ghz component; the router has both 2.4 and 5 Ghz connected devices. The Arc is basically only working as an HDMI connected speaker to my main TV. The Sonos support person connected to my EE router and viewed my configuration and said without WiFi 2 compatibilty to the router the Arc would not register. Is this correct/What are my options?
