So what brand of speakers are people moving to now that sonos have become completely useless crap? JBL seems like quality, the speakers atleast sound much much better than anything sonos has to offer, i am personally thinking of something along those lines. Looking for reccomendations, and who better to ask than former sonos gear owners and user 😊

Bang and Olufsen have some reasonable speakers in their range, ignoring the silly expensive stuff. Their Beolit 20’s and other bluetooth only speakers can even do stereo pairs, which is nice. There’s no obvious replacement in my view, but some reasonable alternatives in various scenarios.

I still don’t understand why anyone would buy Sonos headphones given the quality available elsewhere, or why people spend £900 on a turntable and then just digitise it on cheap ADC/DACs, but each to their own :)

More than likely, there is NOTHING wrong with your speakers, and the issues lies somewhere else.

If you are able to, try this before moving on.:

My system is working fine, and I have no plans to change.

I replaced my Sonos Roam with a Mitsubishi Dialtone D160, it sounds great!

I replaced 2 roams in my bathroom with 2 echo dots and battery packs they work great and the battery packs last about 8 weeks before charging thanks to the on /off button 👍

bought them on a sale cost £100 for both speakers and batteries 😊

below is the battery

If you want full hd music in the bathroom you would need to get the echo main speakers so would double the cost, not needed for me as I use mine mainly for audiobooks 😜

 I’m using a combo of Echo Gen 4 stereo pairs & WiiM products as a whole house system.  Covers all rooms except the bathroom.  Great for parties.

@MoPac

i have only replaced my roams so far, plugged a WiiM ultra into my 5 and use that plus Alexa to play music around my house

sono+ widget does volume and grouping 👍

I could use the main Sonos app as I never updated but been weaning myself off it since discovering WiiM

saved money by repurposing the Sonos speakers 👍
