I have a TCL Roku TV and a cable box, each or which has their own remote. While I’m watching TV both remotes control the volume on the Beam. But if I’m listening to music, when I change the volume on the remotes, the volume doesn’t change. The volume level appears on the TV when I try to change it, but the volume doesn’t change. I had a Polk Audio sound bar before and the remotes changed the volume when I was listening to music. I assume there is something wrong and that this is not supposed to be the way it works?

Will this provide full Dolby Atmos from the new ARC? 2015 Samsung JU7100. Says in Specs it supports: AUDIO Dolby® Digital Plus DTS® Studio Sound DTS® Premium Sound 5.1TM And it has a mini connect breakout box for video connections that include: 5.1 Passthrough ARC Dolby Digital Yes 5.1 Passthrough ARC DTS Yes 5.1 Passthrough Optical Dolby Digital Yes 5.1 Passthrough Optical DTS Yes HDMI 2.0 Full Bandwidth Yes ARC Yes (HDMI 4)

Hi I have the LG GX series tv and until recently have had a beam with 2 surrounds all working fine.  I upgraded to the arc but now am getting drop outs.I’m using HDMI 2.1 cable with eArc enabled on the tv - ive also tried it wthoutIt works for about half hour then the arc just drops and cannot be seen even through the app - ?+LS+RSi have to reset and add the arc again,   Ive reset all 3 speakers but still happens.  No sound through the arc and dissappears from the app - flashing white light.  Just before it drops, it makes several clicking noises As I said  with the beam it works perfect with no issues Thanks in advance

I got Deezer and Spotify working with the sonos and google assistant. But when I try to have my sonos play apple music. It said playing apple music then a few second later it saids apple music is not supported by sonos. Only way to play apple music right now is still with the app. Is this normal?

Samsung QLED Q60T One remote.  I’ve just bout a new Samsung QLED Q60T and a Playbar. The remote only works (badly) when I’m less then a meter away from it. When I move away and sit on the couch 3m as way it dose not work. Both are brand new and swapped out to brand new batteries. Sitting on the couch I can only change the volume with the Sonos app. Any idea how to fix this please? move seen someone else on here with the same problem with no answers to the problem. thank you 

Hi, my play 5 which I think is about 4 years old now has suddenly stopped working. Tried hard reset holding mute whilst putting power cord back in. Tried a different power cord. Nothing works, completely unresponsive. What are my options? Thanks.

Amazon HD keeps cutting in and out during playback a got a message from somewhere stating that the buffer couldn’t keep up with desired bitrate? 

Hi,For several days now that the sonos move speaker does not playing music when I request through Google Assistant and it's only saying "sorry, I can't to that on this device" how can I fix this issue?Thanks. 

I have a total of 7 other speakers, the boost and now the port that I have connected my home theater to.   When playing music all of my speakers are now out of sync with timing.   I’ve done all the updates.  Tried all 3 channels,  restarted the network and restarted each speaker.   Is there something else I can do to make them all play at the same time because my house now sounds like a echo chamber.  

TLDR - cant use google assistant as my integrated voice control on a sonos Beam as the assistant app fails to find them as devices - but they do show up in the google home app.---------------So, just purchased a Beam. The set up process did not go as smoothly as I had hoped and it took many attempts to get it connected to my WiFi network but eventually it all seemed to be working. I then initially connected it to my Alexa service and that worked fine. However, I decided to switch to google assistant (to avoid command conflicts with an echo that’s in the same room) and it fails to find the device in the assistant app. After many attempts i looked into the devices in the separate google Home app and 2 sonos devices were present (the speaker itself and once called TV control) and my account was linked. Indeed I was able to command  the beam from a google hub in a separate room, but the beam itself refused to accept google assistant commands and the sonos S2 app said it wasn't a linked ser

It’s probably right in front of my eyes but for some reason I can’t seem to find the podcasts section when I browse the Spotify source in this newest sonos for windows app? I could have sworn there was a podcasts section after I tap into spotify but now all I see is playlists, songs, albums when I go to my library. Has it been removed?

Hi All,  I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and setup was a breeze using Sonos 2.  Once setup, I added back my sub and two Play 1s for surround sound.  All worked well.  Then I thought since I had two Play 3s why not swap them for the Play 1s for better quality surround sound.  That worked .  All went well until I tried to add back the two Play 1 speakers to the Sonos 2 App.  When I try that for either speaker, I get to the point where it appears that the handshake worked where they should be back online but I get a message “Your Play 1 has been added, but may not appear in the System tab.  If so unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish the setup from the system tab”.  I tired this numerous times and still the Play 1 are offline; not showing up in the system.  I called Sonos and did everything they suggested i.e. Rebooted Modem, rebooted router, hardwired into ethernet cable and still, it does not work.  I even tried to get Sonos 1 to connect to these speakers with no success.

HiJust bought a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB to go with my Sonos in the house.I plugged it into my Play5 and it sounds pretty good but I get a low boom distortion at higher volume.The volume on the line in is at max and I’ve checked the connections.Is this showing the limits of the pre amp on the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB? If so can I improve the sound using another stand alone pre- amp?Many thanks in advanceNNW64

Hi All, Can someone please direct me to instructions on how to add my iTunes playlists into my Sonos music library?  I have already imported the music library (on an external drive).  I tried to also import the iTunes folder within the Windows Music folder, but the playlists don’t import.  The playlist section within the Sonos app is blank.  I’m assuming there’s a way to import iTunes playlists.  Please help.Thanks!

Here’s my setup: Sonos Arc - connected through supplied HDMI cable to ARC port on my TV - Vizio P55-F1 (2018)   Issue: VIzio remote control will only turn down the volume, not up.  Power Cycle seems to resolve for a short period of time.  Also it seems I can only turn the volume up if the Arc sees the IR signal from the remote, If I make sure only the TV can pick up the IR signal it notices that I have pushed a button and displays the volume level on the screen but will not increase or decrease the volume.  TV volume controls work fine if the Arc is unplugged.  Also noticed the volume controls on the back of the TV won’t turn the Arc volume up or down either.   Hoping someone can point me in the direction of a fix, or at least wanting to see if others are having a similar issue.

hi guys can i add a new port to replace a faulty connect in an existing S1 system?

I have Alexa working on my Sonos System (Arc, Sub Gen 3, 2x Sonos One).  But there is an issue.  Alexa can’t hear you unless you shout at it or are inches away from the Arc if music is playing or if there is any background noise.  Literally you need to say Alexa five times, eventually shouting it to get it to listen.  It’s driving my family crazy, as our old system with an Echo Dot worked great. Is there a fix for this, or can I move the default Alexa from the Arc to a Sonos One?  The Sonos One is more in the center of the room, and may hear better.

Hi Sonos support. Sonos arc + sub. Playing Netflix on Philips 55pus7272/12 Sometimes the sound is crackling and distorting. It changes to some very, very harsh, metallic, robotic sounds. Have to stop the streaming immediately because it's so loud and very, very bad sounding.    

Arc has been "lost" twice now since I purchased it. It disconnects and can not be found on sonos app. Will not allow factory reset either. First time it fixed itself after 3 days. Happened again 2 days ago and it's still a ghost.

Hello,New to Sonos so this is likely a silly question coming.I’m looking to connect both the Arc and Amp to my TV as well to have it for music on my main floor. The Amp will be in another room powering a pair of in-ceiling speakers for surround as well as a pair in kitchen for music. Do I just connect both Arc and Amp with HDMI from the TV?I have the ceiling down now so want to make sure this is all I need before I go ahead with wiring.Much appreciated, 

Just tried hooking something up to the line-in port on one of my Fives on a Flexson vertical stand, only to find that the line-in port is essentially blocked by the Flexson arms that hold the Five in vertical position. In order to fit the plug in, I’ve gotta angle the speaker down in the stand, and it’s much less secure that way (and angled poorly). Anyone else have this problem?  Any good solutions?

Afternoon All, I have jsut got the xbox serices X and they ahve remoed the optial out port which i used to connect my xbox x to the playbar with. So now my only option is to go back to the optical out from the TV’s conenction box. The problem with that is the audio is then delayayed when i set the xbox to bitstream and DD. This seem to be a well know problem with no obviouse solution. I have a couple of questions would a spliter like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extractor-Splitter-Optical-Toslink-Converter/dp/B08CK59T9X/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+optical+splitter+60hz+xbox&qid=1605015709&sr=8-3 solve my problem and give me the option of puting the optical out from there rather than the TV? Or is i sold the playbar and got the beam and used hdmi arc would that work or would I still get the same audit lag.  (note there is no way to adjust the tv, xbox or sonos to fix audio lag only video lag :-( ) Any help you can provide would be appreciated

Hi guys, I have 2 Sonos play 5s and I would like to use these as the sound output of my Mac mini (2020). I connected one of these to my Mac mini using an RCA cable, but I cannot get the sound out of them. Is there any missing step that I did not perform or, these 2 are not meant to be connected using the cable? TIA.
