Hello everyone,I'm desperately trying to connect my arc to my Freesat 4k box, which is made by Arris. Although this box has only just come onto the market, I don't think it has CEC implementation.I bought an Arcana because I want the best sound possible from the arc.Here's the problem: every time I try to use the setup app I run into a brick wall with the message, "CEC not connected", and there is no option to move on beyond that point.I could happily live without CEC, and I really want to hear the arc in action, so does anyone have any suggestions, (I would rather not connect using the optical adapter because that means losing sound quality).Thank you for your time,Dom.By the way, all cables are brand-new HDMI 2.1

My old reminders work perfectly speaking to me. All the new ones I make appear correctly in the Alexa app but just "bing" instead of talking. I suspect this is since I updated the Sonos version . I'm  loathe to reset up the device in case the working ones won't after I try and re jnstall. Any ideas.Cheers

Hi guys.When playing music via a play1,, if I also select the arc (with attached SLs as surrounds) I only get the music from the play1 and the arc.If I unpair the surrounds from the arc then I'll get music from the SLs.  Am I missing something  

Hi There,I have a pretty large Sonos network with about 10-12 speakers running from it, and using a Boost. All was well until recently. The boost is connected directly the a Sky Q router (I’m in the UK) and the settings have been unchanged for about 3 years. Used to run Sonos either from my iPhoneX, an iPad Pro, MacBook or iMac, all wirelessly. The boost is connected via ethernet and is the only unit to be connected directly. The Wifi is a 2.4GHZ/5GHZ network running on a Sky Q Mesh so only has one network name. I updated to S2 about 2 months ago when I added 2 further speakers. No problems at all until recently. Mid way through a playlist that was started from the iPhone the system just lost connectivity. All the speakers continued playing, but the phone control no longer worked.  Now I have no control from the iPhone, the iPad Pro, or the MacBook, but strangely the iMac still happily controls all the units as it should. I often watch «Podcast» style youtube videos on my TV with ARC and I want to play the sound on all Sonos speakers. However it seems it uses direct connection when doing so rather than WIFI? Because a speaker (IKEA Symfonisk in this case) which is far from the ARC have big problems with the sound constantly skipping when doing so. All speakers have strong WIFI and no problems when using the App.Is there anything I can do to make this work better?

Hi! So I currently have a Sonos Surround set up for my tv in the living room, consisting of two One SLs, Arc, and a Sub, which are great.  But I was thinking that maybe it would be beneficial to purchase a single Play Five (pared with my Sub) to use strictly for music in that same room. Mind you I live in a one bedroom apartment In Charlotte, NC. It’s not a closet by any means. It’s an average size for an apartment in NC at the price I pay, which is a little over 1000. Is that practical? Does it make sense to have a Play 5 to use strictly for music playback while the surround system is dedicated to tv and movies? I would also like to hook a Play Five up to a CD Player in the near future via Line In. 

I am not getting any surround sound from my new Chromecast with Google TV (CCGTV).Its plugged in a Samsung TV. Sonos Beam connected via HDMI ARC.The CCGTV audio settings are set to Auto: Dolby Digital or Manual: Dolby Digital (tried both)The Samsung TV audio settings are Bitstream - PCM (Dolby Digital and DTS greyed out, not available)My TV is playing stereo 2.0 PCM only.The Sonos app only shows stereo 2.0 PCM.  My PS4 is in another HDMI input, set to Bitstream-Dolby Digital.The Samsung TV audio settings are Bitstream - Dolby (here Dolby is available)My Sonos is receving a Dolby 5.1 signal, the Sonos app shows Dolby Digital 5.1 from the PS4.So the TV can passthrough Dolby 5.1. Is the CCGTV not outputting the right format?Can someone assist me to find a solution?

Hi,I have the following setup arc + 2 ones and sub gen 2. Connected to LG CXLast night I heard a loud bang.I can't tell if anything was affected and I am trying to find a surround sound test that will test the surrounds each channel at a time.You tube on the LG doesn't seem to produce 5.2.1 (or anything other than stereo). I found one on Netflix by searching for test. All the surround speakers seem to work fine, but the sub test seems to cut out half way through. I am not 100% sure on this. As the arc also produces some bass it's hard to tell what the arc is producing and what the sub is producing. I know the sub will be more powerful bass, but I just want to isolate them if that makes sense. The sub isn't making any rattling or popping etc. Hoping that the bag I heard was unrelated to the AV equipment. Also I did a sniff test and couldn't smell any burning. ​​​​​I just want to find a second opinion test. Thanks in advance for any help. 

Good morning all i have a Sonos system (arc, 2 Sonos one and 1 sub)i did change my router and WiFi network but when I try to change my WiFi with Sonos app is not working.i did try with Ethernet cable but nothing happens cannot detect my network I guess.i switch the Ethernet wire but still nothing change.do someone got this issue or can advice any other option? thank you

If I buy a pair of the new Fives, do I still need a Sub? I see the Fives have 3 woofers? I suspect the Sub will improve the overall sound but I’m keen for any experience from the community.

I am unable to control my Playbar via my Samsung smart remote (BN59 01312R supplied with 2019 Frame TV) using infrared. My Samsung One Connect box (also supplied with the TV) is hidden in a draw, but does allow the remote to operate the playbar when in the open, presumably via RF/Bluetooth.  I have been able to set up my Sky Q box to function in this way, which also uses IR, and the other remote supplied with the TV (bn59 01175Q) also works, again using IR. I’ve read multiple articles on this topic both on the Sonos support pages and more broadly, and while I see plenty of guidance relating to the Samsung One remote (none of which has remedied the issue) I don’t see any pertaining to my own remote (BN59 01312R).  Any support would be much appreciated! Thanks  Gareth 

Hi, I’m looking to buy a few sonos one’s and maybe a sonos’s beam but would really like to save a few quid and get them certified refurbished from sonos as I have no problem with a used device. I was just wondering how regularly are the refurbished speakers restocked? and how quickly do they sell out? 

This is what I see when I click on Amazon Music in the S2 app.  Unlimited is not there.  All I can do is play things that I have added to My Music.  I cannot see or search unlimited.I have an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription in Germany and my Sonos account and devices are also registered in Germany.Any ideas?  

This has been an issue for me since the release of the playbar, and is still a problem today with the Arc.The SUB should have separate level settings for TV and Music just like the surrounds do.Ideally we would have separate EQ settings as well.Movies have way too much base and my kids aren't old enough to understand how to use the app to adjust the bass levels.

I'm doing a home renovation and have the chance to finally hardwire audio to all my rooms from my AV closet. I am trying to evaluate what it would cost to use Sonos in a multi-zone environment. I'm leaning towards one Port per zone (6 zones) and then getting a multi-zone amp to power all the speaker's. My issue is that each Port is $450, which means the total preamp setup will be a multi-thousand dollar endeavor.  Is there any work in progress for a multi-zone Port? It doesn't make sense to me that there should be multiple preamps all in the same rack when one device with 2, 4, 6, or 8 outputs could be smaller and more cost effective. I don't plan on playing different music per zone, but I do need the ability to turn each zone on and off at will as well as control the volume per zone. Is there a setup I have overlooked that would allow this with just one Sonos Port? Perhaps others have run into this conundrum and found an adequate solution.

I have heard that the Sonos apps only connect to a Sonos that is on the same subnet as the host running the app, and I am wondering if the same restriction applies to S2.  My Sonos CONNECT is on a local 10.0.0.x subnet.  I have no problem connecting to the CONNECT from a mobile S2 on a tablet or phone that is on 10.0.0.x.But I have a firewall/router attached to that subnet (as its WAN) for local hosts on 192.168.1.x (the firewwall’s LAN).  Everything on the 192.168.1.x subnet sees everything on the 10.0.0.x subnet, and the firewall (temporarily) allows ALL TCP and UDP traffic on all ports that originate anywhere on the 10.0.0.x subnet to enter the 192.168.1.x subnet.  Running the S2 app on my Windows machine at 192.168.1.35 cannot see the Sonos CONNECT, which makes me think it is using a restrictive probe that ignores any responses not coming from what it thinks is the local network, so when it gets a response from 10.0.0.18 (the Sonos CONNECT) but it is running on 192.168.1.35, then i

So I am upgrading my TV and have Sonos surround set up the following way:Sonos playbarSonos subsonos amp connected to 2 non Sonos ceiling rearscable box (Fios) i really do not think it’s worth upgrading to ARC (my wife might throw me out) unless it’s really worth it. I’m assuming connect HDMI 2 from cable box to TV and optical from TV to play surround. What audio settings should I use on LG? With this speaker setup is ARC really superior? Looking forward to getting it running. Any replies greatly appreciated. I am big Sonos fan have amp,to outside speaker, another 5.1 setup and 5 other play ones throughout house. 

Hello all, I tried to find my answer in other posts but none seemed recent enough to answer my questions fully. I am redesigning my room right now which currently has 2 Sonos Ones. I am adding a TV and an Amazon Fire TV Stick. I’m wondering if I will be able to put the audio from my Fire TV Stick through my Sonos One. Also, and much less importantly, would I be able to control my Fire TV using voice commands through my Sonos?  Any help is much appreciated! Happy New Year!

Hi All,I recently got the Arc and Subwoofer. I’m looking for some recommendations on a new power surge protector. 

I have Sonus 1.  I also have a RUSSOUND system.  All connections look intact.  This system used to work in 4 rooms until I upgraded to a MACBOOK PRO.  The Music library on SONOS is connected.  Clicking on “Rooms” on SONOS does not work.  How do I connect to the other three rooms the work through RUSSOUND?

Hi thereI know that it is possible to disable the volume control via the touch controls on the devices themselves, but I am actually looking for the opposite solution. Here is the thing:  I have Sonos players all around my house, including in the restrooms. Come party time, I group all players to play the same music. During the night, the group volume will be changed up and down depending on the mood. However, I would like the volume of the players in the restrooms (and a few other zones) to stay constant. They should basically play all night with the same (low) volume, and it should only be possible to change the volume via the physical buttons (typically once and for all before the guests arrive). All the other zones should be able to be controlled by the app as usual.Is this possible?  I think it would be a very useful feature.Thanx in advance for any suggestions/help :-)Best regards,Jørgen

I connected a new Beam to my system. When I try to get it to connect with my 2 existing play 1 for surround it says that play one speakers cannot be found
