Hello everybody

I am having a question, about this setup.

LG TV

Sonos Beam, with Ethernet

Sonos One SL, for surround

I am streaming, Viaplay, Netflix, HBO, disney.

What is the best Way to do it, and gives the best Sound and experience. Chromecast or Apple TV ?

And which port is the best for it, HDMI or optical ?

Connect the Beam to your TV’s HDMI ARC port.

Which specific LG model do you have?

The Apple TV will be the better option since Dolby Digital 5.1 audio is supported on all four of those apps on the Apple TV. The Chromecast doesn’t support 5.1 audio on Viaplay.

The model is 55UF852V.

And what about the problem with the Remote, that other guys are talking about ?

The advantage of using HDMI-ARC is the remote will command the TV, that in turn will command the Beam. With optical the remote will have to be configured to command the Beam for volume and the TV for other things like changing channels.

Connect the Beam to your TV’s HDMI ARC port.

Do you know, if there is some settings that has to be changed for Dolby digital in HBO streaming on Apple TV ?

Because it only looks like, that i am streaming pcm Sound ?
