My laptop was running WIndows 10 20H2 and the Sonos app was running fine. A week ago my laptop upgraded to Windows 10 21H1 and since then the Sonos app doesn’t work anymore. When starting it gives a few popups about updating itself but that fails. I deinstalled the app and tried from scratch but it doesn’t want to install anymore.This is the error I get when I try to install: 

is sonos arc compatible with DirectV? Does it require more cables for connection?

For 3 days now I am unable to play anything on my 5 Sonos speakers, an error comes up that reads ‘Unable to play X connection to Spotify was lost’ Before this issue came about, the system would play 5 seconds of a song before changing track, unprompted. I ran a system diagnostic and my number is: 1973324632 Please list out ways I can solve this. Please see below steps I have already taken 1. Restarted modem and router 3 times. (Including unplugging power for 3 minute reset)2. Disconnected the Spotify account 3 times and reauthroized the account 3 times.3. The system has no updates to install. I cannot update Sonos.Restarted both apps.  Tried to play from the Spotify app with their ‘connect to device’ feature, will not play.

Hello, all. I’m brand new to Sonos and have been doing research on upgrading/updating my current 5.1 home theater setup (LG OLED55B7P TV, Yamaha receiver, center, front surrounds mounted to wall, in-ceiling rear surrounds, JBL subwoofer). My goal was to see if I can eliminate the Yamaha receiver (I no longer have any other components connected to it), and also eliminate the center and two front surround speakers … but continue to use the rear surround in-ceiling speakers and my existing subwoofer.I thought that Sonos Arc (for center + fronts) and Sonos Amp (for rears and sub) would get me there … but it sounds like I will NOT be able to use my existing JBL subwoofer in this configuration, is that correct?  Because (if my understanding is correct) the Amp will disable the subwoofer connection when the speakers that are connected to the Amp are used as surrounds?If that is the case … then, damn!!  So close.  I won’t be pulling the trigger on Sonos.  Are there any other options that would

Hello,Since a couple of weeks, it seems I only have one single activity playlist (Romance !) instead of the usual 10 playlists (romance + essentials, fitness, party, etc...). Please refer to screenshot attached. I tried accessing Sonos using a different device and the same issue prevails. Can you please let me know if this is a general issue or am I the only one being affected ? How can this issue be resolved ?Thanks ! NicolasPS : This issue follows a previous issue where number of playlists from Apple Activity Playlists (using Sonos S2 App) were much narrower than the number of playlists provided by the Apple App directly. A bit furstrating !  

Playbase has a permanent buzzing sound. 

Played fine, then just lost network connection. Can get it to do anything. Won’t turn off, can’t do a factory reset. Nothing. 

I recently bought a Sono One SL speaker so I can listen to my music collection from my Brennan 2.I have followed all the instructions given on the Brennan and Sono websites.I can hear my music using the Brennan itself in my front room, I can hear my Brennan in the other room but as a separate channel.In other words, I can link my wired speakers and my Sono One SL to play the same music.I have tried activating and following instructions on Brenan/Sono websites, but no joy.Can anyone help?  Thanks.

Hello, I have a seven Sonos devices in four rooms.Living room: Soundbar and two Play:1 for surround Bedroom: One Play:1 Kitchen: Two Play:1’s Garden: Amp powering two speakers.Both the living room and kitchen devices keep disappearing from my system list. However, when I watch TV it plays through the Sonos devices and if I ask my kitchen Google device to play music it will play through the Sonos devices linked to it. However, I can not go into the app and just play some music to these devices. I completely reset the entire system and restarted my router and got everything set back up but they have both disappeared again. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance. 

I had the Sonos system for years with two sonos 3 and it worked great until I bought a Sonos Beam. Since then my original Sonos 3 speakers are redundant and cannot be used in the system.The sonos Beam works for one to two weeks then falls off the network for no reason. Eventually it connects again after a few days for no logical reason.The sonos support never respond and over the last 18 months have failed to provide any suitable response as to why the Sonos 3 will no longer work or why the Beam (which is wired directly to the router) drops off for no reason.Can anybody help?  

Alexa announcements generated from Alexa routines does not work on my Sonos One (2nd Gen). Although, it does work from voice activated commands.This was a previous tropic, but that topic was closed, and no resolutions were provided. So, I’m re-opening this issue and, hopefully, Sonos will respond and resolve.

Hi,When I add a song from Spotify to play next, it always skips. If I add two songs, the first will skip and the second will play. I have 100MB fibre broadband. The ‘main’ Sonos speaker in the network is connected by Ethernet. I’ve done hard resets, advised by Sonos, and the problem still isn’t solved.Hoping someone can help me on this because I’ve spoken to Sonos support twice and the problem has persisted. it’s doing my head in.Any tips?Ant

I have an arc, sub, and two Ones connected to my tv. For a couple of years I had a beam in this configuration and last summer when the arc came out, I switched the configuration above. I had to connect my arc to Ethernet to set up and it is still functioning that way. My arc is connected to the Arc HDMI port and never had an issue. I also have a Philips Hue light system connected to another HDMI port with my Roku and PS4 connected to that. This configuration happened around the beginning of January. Now, mid May, all of a sudden when we turn the television on with our Roku remote, the tv sound doesn’t automatically connect to the Arc system, stating that “the HDMI ARC is not connected”. We then disconnect, wait, and reconnect. We have tried changing the HDMI cable (x3) to no avail. We also purchased two Lindy CEC-less adapters from Amazon but both still had pin 13 intact, making them completely useless. Hi, I just came back from holiday and I suddenly cannot get my Sonos app to show me my devices. All devices are showing a solid white light and I have tried to restart my router, checked the wire, etc. Nothing helps. Hello AllI have two connect amp with sonos ceiling speakers. Both working on S1 app, I can group them and all. Now thinking of adding speakers to the hallway and living room. i was thinking of getting Play 5 - Gen 2. I was wondering if i can group them all together to play the same music in all of them. or I better be looking at Play 5 Gen 1 speakers?

I’ve been very interested with the comments on the Roam speaker, my son bought this for my birthday to add to my sonus system, which I love. However this was specifically bought as an add on for the garden.  Charged the roam, had friends around for a bbq & the roam battery was drained although I’d put it away fully charged.  It appears that when I open the sonus app the roam comes on although it’s in a cupboard ready and waiting for the next time I want to take it outside.  I find this really annoying & a very bad fault, is there anyway you can turn it off and it remains off until you require it? I’ve tried the 5 seconds switch off which works but then the roam wakes up the minute I open the sonus app . 🤔

I need a longer power cable for my Arc. I’d say 5 meters should do it. Can I use a generic non-polarized IEC C8 cable?

Hello, I have a Sonos Beam and IKEA Symfonisk. Both are Airplay 2 compatible if I understand correctly.Since a few weeks they don’t show up anymore as “Airplayable” devices. Neither from my Mac, iPhone or software like Spotify I can select them as output device.I powercycled them, my devices and network a few times without success.I have added a diagnose: 353343145Edit: my Beam is connected to a Sonos Connect:AMP for surround sound, this is apparently the reason I can’t airplay to it. Still my Symfonisk should show up.

Just bought a 2021 Sony smart tv for my patio and connected my Move via Bluetooth. It worked perfectly watching a Netflix movie. Then changes to YouTube and had no sound. Tried another Netflix movie and still no sound. Tv shows it’s connected to the Move. I’m confused in the change. Any ideas on the issue? Sony remote says Bluetooth also when operating volume. Don’t want a sound bar out on the patio and would like this Move to work. My house is full of Sonos so it’s not new to me. 

I’m downsizing from a house into an apartment and trying to adopt a neighborly spirit while compromising my movie-watching experience as little as possible - “but wait, the topic says ‘dual subs’?”I want to use a Sonos amp to drive a pair of bass transducers to get the shake of heavy bass while having my gen 3 sub turned down low-ish to be a good neighbor. Is it possible to have a mixed pair of dual subs in the Sonos app without killing surround sound? I’ve seen workarounds that involve creating a second room to group but my understanding is that that would negatively impact surround sound/Atmos.

I’ve been banging around sonos site for awhile trying to figure this out.I understand Sonos AMP is 2 channel.I understand that if you want 2 Front, 2 Rear, you get 2 AMPs.What I don’t understand is:How do 2 AMPs act as one zone together? what about the center channel? (if you don't want a sonos soundbar) does it actually do true 5.1? or does it treat each set of speakers as stereo How do you handle the multi-sources? I have Apple TV and Nintendo Switch for example. Does Sonos AMP have Airplay2 directly? So it appears as a speaker to broadcast to in IOS devices? If so, what happens when you have more than 1AMP meant to power one zone?Any help would be appreciated! I like the idea of migrating to Sonos over time, just can’t figure out this first step of gear I need.

Hi There, I have a Five Sonos for more than one year (last generation) and recently bought the Sonos Beam, I connected it to my TV by Via HDMI ARC without any problems and then the Sonos Five (I only have those two Speakers) And everything worked well at the time but for some reason if I turn the TV volume up or down the it only works for the Beam Sonos, the Five Sonos continues with the same volume even if I put Mute on TV the Sonos Beam stops but The Five continues to sound. Do you guys know why? Is there some way to adjust this? I don’t want adjust the volume in the app every time, I would like it to be linked between them and work without problem. Another thing that I noticed is that when I turn them on there is a small delay entre the Sonos Five and the Beam Sonos and I do not understand why that happens. If someone can help me, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks

I have been struggling to get 2 One SL to link to Beam as rear surrounds. Had them working fine for about 30 minutes, now I can’t even see them in the Sonos app, have tried factory resets and also numerous power downs. I am on a BT home hub and have tried rebooting that. I am staring down the barrel of a wasted £360.

I just added a new AMP to drive two pairs of ceiling speakers. Speakers work after initial setup (first use) of AMP but don’t work afterwards. Any ideas?

Hi!I recently moved into a student residence with shared wifi. I bought a wifi extender to pair my Sonos with to keep others from jumping on my speakers. When searching for systems instead of giving me to option to connect to my speakers I’m joining onto someone else’s system in the condo and being asked to sign in to an email I don’t recognize. Has anyone encountered this problem before? How do I work around this and start enjoying my system? Thank you!! :-)
