I can’t figure out the best solution for new pool area.  Speakers can be located under a hard roof pavilion so no exposure to sun/rain/snow but humidity can be significant in the summer. Pavilion has electric but is located about 100 feet from where I could place a Sonos Connect or Amp in my basement and wired to passive outdoor speakers.Is that too long of a run?Keep in mind I have existing passive outdoor speakers about 50 feet from other side of pool opposite pavilion. Those are on and below my deck with a short run (5-10 feet) just inside the foundation wall. Would the human ear notice a timing difference if playing music from both the pavilion (100 foot run) and deck (10 foot run)?

Good morning every one, I tried asking to the Sonos costumare care this information and they recommend me to post in the forum. Here I am! I’ll try to explain my doubt:I have a problem with my voice assistant’s volume. If I’m listening to the music and ask Alexa something , I cannot hear the answer because the volume is too low or the music exceeds it.Is it possible to increase the volume of the voice assistant? Not the speaker volume othervise the problem is simply displaced. I hope I was clear.Thank you in advance, Have a good day,

Is there a way to send the audio from my Android web browser to Sonos?  I am using "Sonos Play:1" and "Sonos One" speakers.I listen to former broadcasts on "catch-up" radio and many of these are only available on the radio station’s own web site. Sometimes these former broadcasts are available as podcasts but most are not.For example:   https://www.globalplayer.com/catchup/lbc/uk/46vyD81/  I seem to recall there was once an app that tried to play Andorid audio but is it still available? Is there another way to do this?

Hello, I´m having trouble with my network since I installed a sonos play 1 that my now ex-girlfriend gave me as a “present”. All my connected devices to my router are having some kind of issue… So, she  comes out of the bleu with the sonos play 1 and says she wants me to have this… She a couple of these players at home so I let her installe the thing… a couple of days later there are issues with the wireless adaptor in my laptop. It tunrs out is been switch off and replaced with a virtual adaptor. I have a little knowledge about some stuff but not enough to fix it. So I google to find things out and learn. Then I stumble on a site about dns rebinding and that sonos play 1 is compatible for this… My question now is : Can somebody please try I explain me in no technical terms but in plain and simple  Englisch, how to find out or check this device if it´s been prepared to rebind with another remote device ,server or something else. I have a quite old HD tv (Pioneer) that I love and still has lots of legs.  On Installation of the amp, we tried hooking up the tv to the in wall speakers from SONOS and the AMP as well.  What occurred was about a 2 second latency on the relationship between the visual words spoken and the sound occurring which was quite distracting.  The tech moved it to PDM on the settings which had only marginal if any effect. Is there any way to obtain added hardware to narrow/eliminate this issue?   The aesthetic of where the speakers had to be placed really necessitates removing the existing tv speakers (either side of the tv which is wall mounted also) to achieve a more pleasing wall.  

I have a Play 5 (gen 1) and just bought a Play 5 (gen 2) to be able to use new S2 app. With Play5 (gen1) I connected sound directly from computer 3.5 mm output via cable to Play5 (gen1) speaker and had no sound sync issues when watching e.g. Netflix/YouTube etc. Then I installed S2 and connected Play 5 (gen 2) and now I have sync issues, even with direct connection with 3.5 mm cable from Computer to Speaker. I set up S1 again, and unfortunately now also Play 5 (gen 1) has sound delay when playing video (Netflix/Youtube etc). Any ideas? I know the point of sonos is getting rid of cables….!

Does anybody know what the upfiring drivers in the Arc do, (if anything), with a stereo or 5.1 signal?

 I have an S1 system that I’d like to keep as S1 (x2 Play 1’s and a Connect) I now need a PlayBar and would prefer not to buy secondhand. If the refurbished PlayBar from Sonos ships with S2 then is it possible to revert to S1?  Or, does it in fact ship with S1??Thank you in advance!! Steve

Out of the blue my Sonos S1 controller has lost my music.Nothing changed, the computer hadn’t been changed in any way, no settings changed, no software installed, I simply chose a different album to play and it’s all gone.I tried adding the music folders again and still get the “computer cannot be found” error despite it being the computer that’s running the Sonos app!I’ve had a look on the forum and there’s lots about people making changes then losing their music but I haven’t found one like mine where nothing changed, it was running then it simply lost everything.I uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos S1 app, rebooted the router and the Sonos Bridge, checked the firewall settings before I uninstalled it and it set the firewall settings again for the fresh install so I know that’s not the problem.Windows 10 hasn’t updated, so I can see no reason at all for this to have happened.I’d appreciate any help I can get with this before I chuck the lot on eBay and get blue tooth speakers inst

Hi all - I have a question regarding integrating my B&O system into my Sonos network.Currently I have a Sonos Playbar in my bedroom, and a Sonos Move in the Kitchen. I like being able to link them together to play music throughout my house. But in my living room, I have a B&O Beosound 9000 wired to B&O Beolab 8000 speakers. I’d love to be able to get these linked into the Sonos system somehow. I’ve been looking at Port and Amp and trying to figure out how that could work, but confused as to which product (if either) to buy, and how to connect them to the 8000/9000. My aim would be to have the B&O system function as if it was a Sonos product on my Sonos network - i.e. stream to it from my phone, link and de-link with the Move/Playbar, etc. Also, will the Move/Amp be able to auto power-on the B&O system and what adapters/cables do I need? Many thanks in advance!! 

I have a music library stored on my NAS with approximately 1500 albums (so it's not huge by most standards).Only a portion of it has been indexed correctly by the initial execution of the indexing via Sonos app. No matter how many times I re-run the process via the Apps on Windows PC, android phone & iphone, nothing changes once the fresh indexing process has finished.An example of how this is behaving is:I have a folder named A Perfect Circle in my shared Music folder. It has 4 sub-folders (1 for each album by that artist) 2 of the 4 albums have been indexed 1 of the 2 indexed albums only lists from track 3 onward and doesn't recognize or list tracks 1 or 2 in the sonos app on any platform. By comparison, I can browse to each of the folders and list all tracks and play them using other apps such as Roon, windows media player etc. without issue.Re-scanning my music library yields no changes to available albums / songs, though shows via the apps it is apparently working.What is goin

My set up is Play1, Play3 and Connect running on S1.Recently i was experiencing issues with Play 1 and Play3 dropping out.I thought that Connect might be the issue, so turned it off and tried to connect both Plays via Wifi direct to Router. What happened next was that my system somehow “split into two”. Under my login in app i can see Play3 but can’t see Play1 or can’t even add it in. If i log out of my account i can see Play1 but can’t see or add Play3.Is there a way how to reset the whole system and start over? Or any other suggestions?It is driving me crazy. 

Hi, for some reason when I use the Sonos S1 search function on any of my devices (2 iPads and 2 iPhones) it doesn’t find anything. 

I keep getting an error when trying to add my new Boost to my existing system. I tried adding it to the existing system both in wired and wireless mode and keep getting the error. I wonder if it’s something to do with our BT router which we’ve had issues with before adding items to the network.

Our Sonos system has completely stopped responding: the white light is on, however nothing happens when we press the Play button, even for 60s +, or when we run through the factory reset sequence… it just stays white …Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve had my Move for about a month, its the 1st Sonos product I’ve owned, coming from the world of headphones and Hifi. I am confused by the lack of detail around the functionality of the Move. There does not seem to be a proper manual as such, makes it hard to understand how it works. I use the move mostly in 2 rooms. The second room does not have a charging loop and I’m not near the device when its in use. After playing music and stopping, after around 30 min, it goes into a stand-by stage. I’ve read a few other discussions on the topic, again seems odd we are asking each other how these things work and not referring to a manual that defines its functionality. I’ve been supplied a link to a document on the Sleep Mode -https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4828?language=en_US, 1st rep didn’t seem to know about it, second didn’t know about it until after factory reset, etc… I want to be able to resume playback after 30 min from the play button on top or the app. For now the play button d

Hisince today my google assistant couldn’t connect to the wifi. I tried to reboot my Sonos one and to reinstall the Google assistant but now I cannot even do that as Google assistant says it cannot find a device to pair with. Any insight?

Jeg har netop købt Sonos Arc til vores LG CX oled, software version 3.23.25.Arc er opdateret til nyeste version.vi oplever stor forskel i lydstyrken på de forskellige TV kanaler, især TV3 og TV3+. De udsender lyd i Dolby digital 2.0 ifølge  Sonos appen, jeg ved ikke om dette er relevant info.tvet står til Auto under lydformat for DTV og Auto under digital lydudgang. Jeg har forsøgt at med passthrough og ændre formatet til andre, uden at det hjælper.Vi oplever ikke andre udfordringer end lydstyrken er meget høj på nogle kanaler, Dolby atmos osv. fungerer fint.Diagnosisk 98486330Måske nogen der har en god ide?mvh.Jesper 

HiA couple of days ago I noticed that the queue in Sonos was saying I only had about 9500 tracks when there should be about 12500.  I’ve had a look through and whole albums that used to be in there and played absolutely fine are no longer showing - they’ve just disappeared although they’re still in Itunes?  I’ve uninstalled my Library from Sonos and added it again and now I’ve lost even more, about another 200 tracks????  I have a Windows laptop and the library is on my C Drive - no changes have been made to it.  I’m absolutely baffled, any advice would be gratefully accepted as this is driving me mad. 

I brought my Sonos Roam to the hotel I’ll be at for 2 weeks. The wi-fi here doesn’t require a login.  How can I prevent others (who are on the same wi-fi) from connecting to my Roam? It has already happened three times .. including once in the middle of the night when my white noise was interrupted by someone’s dance music (!). 

Can’t figure this one out. I only get Stereo PCM from my Spectrum DVR and PS5 but I get Dolby 5.1 from my Apple TV.Setup: Older Samsung plasma TV capable of decoding Dolby 5.1 connected to the Arc via Sonos’ Toslink adapter to HDMI. Apple TV and PS5 connected via HDMI to an HDMI switch to the TV. Spectrum DVR connected directly to TV via HDMI. I have the Sonos Arc and two One SL’s for surround All devices are capable of decoding Dolby 5.1 yet I can only get Stereo PCM, not even Multichannel PCM, from PS5 and DVR. Apple TV is the only device coming in as Dolby 5.1. I’ve tried every setting I can find on both DVR and PS5 in terms of audio compression settings and nothing changes no matter what setting I use. My app is updated and I’ve read a few posts about Stereo and Multichannel PCM but nothing quite explains my situation.Even with Stereo PCM 2.0 coming up in the app, I’m still getting audio in the surrounds. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Recently built a house with in ceiling speakers that came with the Sonos Amp and I was so excited to pair them with my Arc, Sub, and 2 one SL surrounds however the arc can only support one pair of surrounds. Never did I even think this would become a limitation from Sonos. Anyone know if there are or could be future plans to allow multiple surrounds like the update that made two subs possible?  Sonos please!

Hi Everyone, I currently have a beam with two One SL set up as surround sound. I am looking to add a sub though am faced with a dilemma. I have two dumb speakers that were a gift from my father that I would like to also utilise. Given that a Sonos Amp is the same cost as a Sub, I am considering buying that instead and purchasing a 3rd party sub to go with it. Will the Sonos amp allow integration of the dumb speakers as front L+R giving me 5.1 surround? And will the 3rd party sub work as well in the system as a Sonos sub would? Has anyone got a similar set up? I assume using the 5.1 through the dumb speakers would prevent TruePlay, is that going to be noticeable? Am i better off just sticking with a purely Sonos set up as 3.1?Cheers,Lee

My Play 5 (one of a stereo pair) dropped out recently and nothing would get it back online so I carried out a factory reset which didn’t work so I took it to the router and connected it via ethernet cable.After an update I could see it and re-paired it with the other speaker but when I unplugged it to move it back to the kitchen it dropped off my system again.This has now happened twice...any ideas anyone? TIA
