Sonos Connect Amp and Sonos Beam Gen 2

Hi

I have just purchased the new Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Surround sound SL speakers.

I have a turntable i want to connect to it. I know the new Sonos Port or AMP will do this but will the old Sonos Connect or Sonos Connect Amp work for this and connect through the Beam Gen 2, or is it not compatible with the new Beam?

Yes, provided they are the second generation Connect / Connect:Amp that can run the Sonos S2 software that your Beam and SLs will be running. The first gen. products are restricted to running S1.

The first and second gen. products look almost identical.

ah ok thanks ill need to make sure they are Gen 2 then before purchasing on EBAY/GUMTREE . How do you tell if it is gen 1 or gen 2?
