Hi! Spotify activity is normally displayed on Discord, this also works when used with Spotify Connect &other devices (for example Google TV). However, when playing over Sonos no activity is shown. Is there something I am missing or is this some kind of bug?

I’ve got an iMac with an external Mac CD-ROM Superdrive attached. Works fine for playing CDs that I don’t want to rip onto my hard drive, for various reasons including that I like listening to redbook audio rather than compressed and don’t want to use a crazy amount of storage to rip lossless lots of cds I listen to infrequently. I work in the music industry, so get a lot of music that’s just an occasional listen. My external Superdrive CD-ROM works fine playing through my computer speakers. When I try to choose my Sonos Port as an output, all the controls in the Apple Music player stop working (play, skip, etc.). Sonos has confirmed that this isn’t supported and I have to rip any music I want to listen to. Anyone aware of a hack to get around needing to rip all of my music? Happy to experiment with devices, cords, etc. that’ll make this work for my needs. Thanks!

Hi, I have a beam and until a few weeks ago all was working ok.  It’s has no dropped my 2x Play 1’s and won’t allow me to add them as surrounds.I have factory reset everything and started again with no luck.  The error message I get is “two compatible Sonos speakers are required etc etc”.  It’s feels like it doesn’t even search, the error message instantly pops up.The WiFi router has been constant before and after the issues, so I have ruled that out.I have exhausted my understanding of this, any ideas?Thank youWill

Hi Something I found strange the other day. When my sonos Roam is connect to my wifi network I can use it with Google assistant to request song but when I leave my house I can't.. Seems strange to me that the mic operation is not transferred from the phone when connected over Bluetooth.. Or is it just me?

My Sonos roam arrived the night before we went on holiday last week.  I am pleased with the flexibility of the wifi and bluetooth modes, but it soon became apparent after we got to our destination that the bluetooth device switching on the Roam is very poor.  We had 3 people in the house who paired to the speaker at various points to play their music choices, but when the next person came along, it was a great big faff / fuss to work out who’s phone or iPad was hogging the connection, and ask them to turn off their bluetooth in order to free up the roam to connect to the next person’s device.   We have a bose soundlink mini which allows you to cycle through the existing paired phones/devices and provides some oral feedback on each press “Connected to Michael’s iPhone” *press* “Connected to Michael’s iPad” *press* etc…   Can Sonos please consider something similar?     

I have 2 Play:1’s and I want to connect them to a Vizio Smart TV. What do I need? Connect, ConnectAmp, Soundbar? Thanks. 

My 1st. Zone is Sonance Outdoor speakers with Amp My 2nd Zone is Sonance In Celling Speakers with AmpMy 3rd Zone is Marantz AV with 3rd party home theatre speakers  So. my question is can i connect Sonos Port to Marantz AV to make it 3rd different zone to play music at one time on all 3 different zones. Is it posible to connect Port to Marantz and how ?? 

Hi, I went to use the Sonos app this morning on my phone and it appears to be stuck in an update loop. The app won’t function and says at the top an app update is required, when I click “Learn More” I get a screen saying an app update is required, I click “Update Now” which takes me to another screen with a button saying “Update”, which takes me to the app store, but there is no update available. I saw other historic issues with this which suggested updating off another controller (my girlfriend’s Android is doing the same as mine) so I tried off my PC. The update failed with an error 1001, which I understand is the system in unable to find a speaker. Thing is, all the speakers are showing on the PC app, which is now the only method I have to listen to music! Any help gratefully received :)John

Hello. Lately my Arc has had the status light alternately flashing red, white and green. There is nothing wrong with the audio, but this was never the case before. In the app's settings, I have always had the status on light disabled. I'm not sure why the lights are doing what they are doing. Should I be worried?

Hello guys! My Sonos Move does not start, my cat has destroyed the charge base… So I am trying to charge it with USB-C instead, and what happens is that the status light flashes twice, at the same time as the second flash, the microphone light flashes and then these two stop. Then the battery light is constantly lit orange / red and nothing more happens. I have tried with four different chargers and several different cables, the same result all the time. Do you think the battery has run out or could it be something else?

I bought the Arc soundbar + Sub Gen 3 last week. For the first couple of days, the system connected to my Pixel 3a. For the past several days, however, I have entirely lost my ability to connect to the system. I have tried restarting the soundbar and my phone. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

My son thought he could add his acct to our Sonos system.  I did not authorize my account to be switched to his email. Not sure how Sonos allows that.  When I go to log-in, it shows his email (encrypted) at top with blank username and password.  I cannot log-in using my account in the app but I can log-in with my username/pw on the internet and shows my account number.    He’s tried to erase his account but it won’t let him. I now have NO way to access the Sonos. (No I am not going to use sons log-in).  My account, my access (Sonos allowed him access without authorization). how do we fix this?   Oh, called customer service - told customer service is no longer via phone and much use tech support online.  Prompts per computer did not include my issue.  Asked for live agent - none are available.  sincerely,Laura 

Why buy a Sonos speaker when Sonos defeats the option qualities an app such as Pandora provides? Pandora enables a repeat song option when I’m using my AV system, or in my car. or my workshop speakers using aux. through my iphone. Yet Sonos disables this feature. Only on a Sonos speaker I’m not able to replay a song. Sonos, are you listening? 

Ever since I set up my Beam last week, my TV turns off randomly every so often. I have tried a number of fixes that I have researched such as turning off auto play, Alexa, CEC, etc. None of these have any effect and the tv continues to turn itself off. The TV auto shut down is off and I never experienced this issue once before setting up the Beam. 

i noticed that already a lot of people ask this question but I have to know for sure because it costs a fortune.I have an Epson EF-11 projector. As an external visual source I use my MacBook. I am aware that my projector does not have HDMI arc or earc so it can’t be connected to an Sonos arc. But is there someway I could connect it to my projector and experience the whole Dolby atmos stuff? Is it possible, in this particular case, with HDfury arcana?thanks for all the answers

Hi everyone. Hoping you can clear something up for me. When I first received and set up my Arc last Summer, I remember that the Sonos System Info (under About my System) would differentiate between the two types of Dolby Atmos audio signal received: DD+ or Dolby True HD.Having established that my Arc was capable of receiving both types of Dolby Atmos signal (depending on source, of course), I pretty much stopped paying attention (just so long as the magic 'Dolby Atmos' lights up on the app, I'm happy.I've been playing with my set up again, however, and even sources that I know to be TrueHD rather than DD+ display simply and only as DD+.Has something changed on the software end? Has anyone else noticed something similar? I'm running the latest version of the S2 app and software, 13.2.2. Nothing has changed on the hardware side (although I'm acutely aware how finickity these audio settings and set ups can be).If anyone could clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it. Cheers.

Hi there,Is there a way as an app developer to connect to the Sonos library that connects to Spotify, Pandora etc?  In some sense it would be an overlay to the actual Sonos app that does nothing more than connect to the various music services available through the Sonos app.  If the answer is "no", what would be the process to formally request this or introduce the concept for consideration by Sonos?  Thank you.

Hi guys. I have been listening FM for long with my Sonos device. It was all fine since yesterday. That tunnel what I am listening every day, it doesn't have any voice at all. It is so strange as all the other tunnels have voice instead of this one. I am really upset as I am at home nowadays and that is the only FM what I like it. Have you faced similar problem already? Alright, please bear with me. I know the beam is not designed to be compatible with these kinds of devices. But…. if we can be theoretical at least, what does it take to convert the digital output from the pioneer djm 900nxs mixer to a signal that the sonos beam can play?I have seen some people converting RCA to digital hdmi audio, but I just bought such a converter, and the beam would not recognize it. I then noticed that the pioneer mixer has a digital output, same physical plug/socket as a single RCA / phono connection, but should be digital, however I don’t know more about it than that. Hello,I have discovered a problem with indexing .m4a files. Some files weren’t searchable via Artist, Album or Title metadata in the music library and could only be found by browsing the folder structure. They would play ok though. The meta data of the files in questions was displayed correctly in mp3tag, VLC, Foobar etc…, only my Sonos system had an issue with indexing them. I was able to circumvent the problem by running an ffmpeg script, that stripped and rewrapped the metadata information. After applying this workaround, the files were also indexed correctly in Sonos. With some more research and a lot of help from the mp3tag forum (https://community.mp3tag.de/t/m4a-and-sonos-sonos-doesnt-seem-to-recognize-album-title/52450/5 ), we were able to pin down the difference to an entry in the Codec-ID.  Long story short:If the Codec ID of an .m4a file is “mp42/isom”, Sonos will not index it correctly but it can be played.But if it is “M4A/isom/iso2” Sonos will index and play it correctly.

Hey all. I have a router with wifi pretty far from my setup below.However, at my setup I have a Sonos Connect 1 that is ethernet wired connected to my router.Next (as in, 50cm) to my Sonos Connect 1, I have two Sonos Ikea Symfonisk which is wireless. I am using OS S1 and according to “About my system” everything is “WM:0”. From I understand, if a single device (my Sonos Connect 1) is ethernet wired, it will create the Sonosnet for all other (wireless) devices.If so, how come my Symfonisk speakers are repeatedly getting hiccups/stutters while playing music (from my connect)? Shouldn’t the short distance basically make the connection flawless in theory?

has anyone used two sonos amps to power a pair of speakers, one for the left and one for the right to eliminate speaker wires ?

When ever I use Disney+ and HBO Max on my Fire Stick 4K, the sound randomly cuts out. What can I do to fix this?
