I’ve just migrated my files to a new MacBook M1. Sonos can see all the titles in my music library, but won’t play them because it says the server can’t be found. I don’t get it?

We have a dog and at present we have a radio on all day for her whilst we’re at work.  She goes to Daycare at 10 and returns at 2pm.  I want to set up my Sonos Beam to play a radio station from 8am-10am and then from 2pm-6pm……is this possible? 

Hi,I have never owned any Sonos stuff before and was looking at buying some for home cinema experience. I have SkyQ with Sony TV and was going to buy a beam or Arc but then read all the stories about lip sync issues with Sky. If spending that much I just want something that will just plug in and works.Does everyone have lip sync issues or is it only the exception?Thanks   

A month ago this worked.  Today it does not.  The SONOS S1 app on my mac disappeared, so downloaded the updated one.  But it will not connect to the system.  MacOS 10.13.6 Sonos SystemsBEAM Sonos Boost First gen connect systemsSonos S1 Controller for Mac 11.2.13  Build 57923010 Fast.com WIFI speed:  540 MbpsWas all working fine September 2021.   Have powered all it off, then pulled the power for the BEAM, then tried to start it all as an S1 system but no luck:  “Sorry, we can’t connect to Sonos” from Sonos S1 app on MacOS. Complete iTune library on the MAC, portions on iOS devices.  Able to use IOS devices to drive entire system from music library on IOS devices but that is a subset of the larger music library.  Need the MacOS Sonos S1 app to work at least sufficiently to connect the music library….. Two folks spent 4 hours each on this for 8 hours, multi reboots, can’t get it to work, what will resolve this issue?  And why does it seem like we need to spend 10-20 hours a year on Sonos

Soundbar was working fine before holiday. It was switched off at the mains with all our other electrical items. On return it’s stopped working.Power lead is fine, I have tested on another Sonos product.Any ideas ?

I am planning to buy a used Sonos ZP120 to drive a pair of large speakers that I have.  I already have a pair of Sonos One's in another room that I would like to play in sync with the ZP120.I understand that both the ZP120 and the One's are technology generation S1, so they should be able to be joined together as a Group, right? The manual for the ZP120: https://content.abt.com/documents/20166/ZP120_Setup_Guide.pdf  page 11, shows a separate hardware Controller device.   Can the S1 Control app on my phone do the same thing as this hardware Controller device?If the phone app can talk to the ZP120, Will I be able to adjust bass & treble tone controls on the One's without affecting the ZP120?  Does the ZP120 also have the bass & treble tone control feature?I assume the controller app volume control is a master that affects all systems in the Group. But is there also an option to mute or adjust the volume level in each room separately? Thanks, in advance!

6 Sonos speakers including a Move. When Sonos starts up, it’s either the Move by itself, or the 5 others, never all six at once. (2 Play1, 2 playbar,1 Play3). I have assigned fixed IP addresses. The Move has an address that is not numerically near the others. Play 1 = 192.168.1.168/SonosZP-8, Move = 192.168.1.248. Tried everything I could think of. Rebooting, etc. Any ideas?

Trying to set up Sonos beam in a different property . Have Sonos beam already working in another house but when trying to set one up in this house do I need another app , which when trying to install only puts me into my app I already have but the internet WiFi for this house is different so it doesn’t let me do anything . Do I need to change my WiFi connections each time I go to different houses and can I add the new beam onto the app I already have.

Yet another question about the availability of Google Assistant in Finland - but please bear with me. My mother tongue is Swedish (and every Finn learns Swedish, as it is our second official language). According to this support page, Google Assistant is available in Swedish through Sonos. So why wouldn’t this feature be available for all native Swedish speakers in Finland? It feels like an arbitrary restriction that just as well could be lifted for all Finns - most of us speak English as well, so even if you wouldn’t support the largest language here, it would still be beneficial to all Sonos users.Even if this was impossible, the frequent pop-up in the app to activate a voice assistant should be removed in all locations where this is not possible - currently if feels like you are showing your customers the middle finger.

I hate Autoplay. A few weeks ago I had a clean install on my computer (Macbook) and then installed Spotify and connected to my Sonos system to listen to some nice music. As it turns out after a while, Autoplay is enabled in Spotify by default. No worries, I disabled it in the Spotify settings. In the very rare occasions when I listen to music on my Macbook (not through Sonos) it respects my choice just as I expect. However, in the meantime Sonos seems to have remembered that Autoplay is ON and since then everytime I listen to anything through Sonos started in Spotify, Autoplay is enabled and it starts to play random music after my playlist or album has ended. (Did I mention I hate autoplay?!) It’s all the same if I play music through Spotify using my iPhone. I looked everywhere in the Sonos app both on my Macbook and on my iPhone, but can’t seem to find any switch for that. Damn! Where do I click?

I can buy a Sonos Arc sub - Gen 1 for $400 Canadian versus a new sub Gen 3 for over $1000 Canadian after tax.From what I understand the Sub Gen 1 will work with the Sonos Arc and will work with Sonos app S2 system.   Obviously there have been changes but from what I have been able to learn, maybe the changes are not too significant.What would you do?

Is it just my network or has the once seamless compatibility and UX interface between Sonos and the Spotify app recently collapsed?I’m really not sure if its the Sonos app or the Spotify app that is at fault (or both) but a few months ago, I noticed that the “now playing” screen on the Spotify app started to resemble the Sonos app’s “now playing” screen. And that change seems to be the start of the problem.Now it seems I can’t pause tracks, skip ahead (important for podcasts) or even change tracks whilst inside the Spotify app. If I do, the track playing on Sonos continues and instead another track begins to play from my phone speaker. It seems the only way to effect the music coming from Sonos system once I’ve linked via Spotify connect is to switch into the Sonos app. Its really quite frustrating. When I initially set up my Sonos ONE Gen 2 speaker it worked absolutely fine. I then got a separate Sonos ONE but without the mic function in order to set up stereo sound.I'm not sure if it was since then or after but whenever I ask Google to play music from Spotify on my Sonos I have to initially ask it twice - Google will respond saying "ok, playing .... On Spotify" but then this is followed by silence until o repeat the command.Similarly, when I try to cast from Spotify, I will often choose a song which will start playing, then cast it to my speaker but then have to pause and play the song again before it starts playing.I don't know where the problem is, but I have noticed others have mentioned similar issues on these forums a year ago. I was hoping it would be a temporary bug but it has now been like this for almost a year.Any ideas? Hello,We are deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to our users.Mobile devices are fully company managed devices, but we do allow users to install their own apps, as long as its installed from official app stores. We received some complains that users are not able to use their Sonos App after configuring defender for endpoint. Defender for Endpoint is a enterprise endpoint security product and it uses a “local” VPN solution to filter malicious or other unwanted traffic from device. The thing is, because it uses the VPN (event though its a local vpn and not a real vpn) the Sonos application does not allow you to scan for local sonos devices. Is there any documentation or other information available that we can verify  if this is a an issue that could be solved by Sonos or is it something that should be fixed by Microsoft?  

Hello, I am creating a media wall with recessed TV, Playbar and a fire at the bottom. My question is will the Playbar sound be affected by being placed in a recessed shelf?  Has anyone done this?  Thanks    

Just upgraded my gen 1 Sonos 5 to an Arc. Have a Sonos amp in the same room but behind the sofa driving speakers facing the TV. The amp and TV are on the same LAN network but are too far apart to connect by HDMI cable, Is there a way to connect the TV or Arc to the amp for surround sound?TIA  

My question is, can I use my gen1 speakers (play3) & gen1 sub with the Arc to play Dolby Atmos?  I just purchased a new TV and I’m going through a tech overhaul. I’m cautious to start upgrading all of my Sonos equipment because it works great and would be expensive to replace. However I am definitely interested to taking it to the next level by replacing the Playbar with the Arc. Before I do I just want to make sure that the other speakers will register as I hope. Kindly,Drew

Hi, I’m probably going to get murdered on the forum for this...(I did try to search, I really did), but I couldn’t find anything.So I have two Sonos Roams paired as a stereo set. I was wondering with the high end services like Tidal, Amazon Music HD and Apple Music (and I guess Sonos Radio HD), can the Roams push out the high end bit rates/sound quality? I may not be asking the question right..I hope it makes sense. Like I realize the Roams do not do Atmos (right)..so Spatial audio is out...but can they play lossless at that bit rate or is it downsized/compressed?I am a Sonos fan, and I replaced two Echo Studios to go with the Roams because I like the portability and the size of them. I realize I would be giving up Atmos or whatever Amazon calls it..but I was just curious.I recall seeing something way back that the Ones could not do more than “HD” level on Amazon and not the Ultra HD or 3D or whatever they called it..but I didn’t know if the Roams can do HD level ...or if any music ser

Afternoon all.  I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and I also have a One SL.  I have a Sony KD-49XG90 TV.I’m bamboozled by the variety of Audio in results I have showing on my S2 App.My Beam is connected to my TV via ARC (HDMI 3), my Apple TV (4K 2021) is connected to HDMI 2 and Sky Q is connected to HDMI4.I get Dolby Atmos for Premiership football matches I watch in UHD via SkyI get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 for movies in UHD via SkyI get Dolby Digital 5.1 via Apple TVI get a mixture of Dolby Digital 5.1 and PCM 2.0 for normal channels on SkyCan anyone explain the disparity between the results I’m getting please, is layman terms if possible.I would at least like to get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 on Apple TV and I don’t understand for the life of me why I only get Atmos for the football on Sky UHD but for no other programme, not even UHD movies on Sky!Many thanks in advance
