I’ve had the Arc working flawlessly for 12 months or so, paired with a Sub 3 and two Ones. Watching the TV yesterday..the screen went black, sound stopped and the light on the ARC was flashing. Everything came back for a second then it repeated and then settled. It has continued to do this all day on intermittently. The setup then disappears from the Sonos App. Any suggestions? Thanks

My first post, hello all. I have had Sonos for many years and have never had an issue until recently. My Play:1’s are set up in a stereo pair with a 2nd Gen Sub and a few days ago I started having issues with Amazon Music (specifically songs that are Ultra HD only) and have been experiencing choppy audio which makes the music un-listenable.I do not have this issue with my amp (newest gen) or SL ones, it only happens with the Play:1’s. I was on the phone with support for 1-½ hours with no solution - anyone else having this issue? I am using S2 and I am assuming this is an issue with the Ultra HD music file being compatible with the Play:1’s since it doesn’t happen on any of my newer speakers. It also does not happen if I select songs that are not Ultra HD. I do not have any issues with streaming Ultra HD songs directly from the Amazon Music App, only using the Sonos App.(I have removed/reinstalled the Music link in the Sonos app, rebooted my router and modem, rebooted the speakers, did

I live in an apartment. I have a SONOS Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with a TV in the Master Bedroom. I also have a Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with the TV in the Living Room. I use Google assistant on Sonos. For the past year or so this has worked perfectly. Recently (and it does not appear to be associated with an update) Google assistant on both systems responds with “Sorry there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds” about 50% of the time. Yesterday when I walked in the house both Beams were responding with: “There is no internet connection”. There was NO internet problem as my phone and PC’s were working correctly. I tried to re-setup all SONOS speakers and now I can only connect one complete set (BEAM and 2 SL’s). If I connect the LR setup then the BR one will not configure and vice versa.I’m curious if something was changed in the software lately that is causing all of the grief?Should I be using Google Nest’s and not Google Asst on Sonos?

I have two Play:5 gen1 speaker. If I get a Sonos One SL, can I group the Five gen1’s to the One SL and use Airplay through the One SL? If yes, is it possible to configure the two Five gen1’s as a stereo pair, and leave the One SL as a single speaker?

I am in the beginnings of an extensive remodel and planning to use Sonos for home audio.I will have in ceiling speakers in one bedroom, kitchen, and likely the living area (which is in the same open area as the kitchen. i will also have a pair of outdoor speakers in a covered porch.If I desired to play different audio in each of these zones, then the speakers would have to be connected to different amps, correct? In other words, if the bedroom and living room are on the same amp, they would only be able to play the same audio right?

Anyone else having connectivity issues since the latest Sonos software upgrade? I m running Sonos on an Eero Wi-Fi mesh.   Before the latest upgrade, it had sporadic issues that were easily resolved. But since this latest upgrade I am having frequent connectivity issues (speakers dropping off) and syncing issues (speakers falling out of sync).

Hello - Has anyone mounted their Playbar above the TV? How’d it work out? How much above eye/ear level have you done it/how much space between top of Playbar and shelf (or ceiling) is required?  Any issues with top of Playbar being too close to shelf/ceiling above (causing distortion of the sound waves or over-heating)? I am considering moving the Playbar above the TV (which is on an extendable mount that comes out of a recess in the wall).  

My Sonos S1 system is running v11.2.9. The latest version listed on the S1 Release Notes page is 11.2.6.Why isn’t Sons updating this page when they update their software?

My Sonos speaker is not showing up on my phone, but it is showing up on another person’s phone in my household. Both phones have the most up to date Sonos app and are logged in to the same account. I tried to reset the speaker and the wifi router, but the issue persists.

I had sonos arc with name salon in the app.I connected an older Sonos beam I had disconnected , but it had the same name salon.Once I did that the settings page won't load anymore in the app.When sel we cting to play something I see 2 salon entries and can play in both.

Hi,Client has 4 x B&O amplified active speakers in his set up. Front L/R and Rear L/R.He wants to add a Beam or ARC, but will the 2 x Ports FL/R and RL/R) if all WIRED by Ethernet cable through a gigabit switch connection run the front & rear speakers active speakers and work as 5.1 or full for music?If not, is the alternative to get him to throw away his several thousand euro B&O speakers and add Play 1’s? Cheers   

Hello,I’m actually using a Sonos Connect to have the sound of my other Sonos material (Sonos Amp and Play:1 1st gen so no Airplay 2) on my old Yamaha home theater amp.I can’t figure it out if I will still need the Connect if I upgrade my amp for a model with ethernet/wifi/DLNA. Could someone enlighten me on this point?Thank you

I have Sonos Amp (Gen 2, old shape) that I want to use to power 2x Bose FreeSpace 360P speakers. I already have a similar setup powering Bose FreeSpace 51, but I cannot get any more of those speakers where I am. Opening the box for the Bose FreeSpace 360P I was surprised by all sorts of wires in there. Can someone help with which wires to connect to what?  

I have recently had poor buffering problems mainly when using Sonos system with Amazon Music. My Wi fi is BT running at 50 MB so quite fast. I dont have problems with the radio throug Sonos system e.g Gold or Smooth. To solve this I have just bought a Sonos Boost. It is much better but intermittent buffering problems are still happening. Is there anything else I can do. I am not very technical. I am running S1 with 5 speakers all 1st Generation. 3 x Sonos 5 and 2 x Sonos 3 and a Sonos Amp.

Clicking the volume control on the aTV remote brought up a grey circle with a slash on the right edge of the screen. I was still able to get video out of locally served movies as well as the Hulu app. Later in the day, the Hulu sound quit, followed by Apple Trailers. Now I have no sound at all, even from the aTV click and window system sounds. I discovered that none of the apps on my devices could see the Sonos system (once the Sonos HT was installed I never again used the apps), so I did a WiFi reset as prescribed in the support docs. My apps could then see the system, but the audio was still gone. I reset the remote function and had the app relearn the aTV remote, still nothing but that grey circle with a slash on the right side of the scre

I am a contractor and I am unfamiliar with Sonos equipment. I have a client that recently moved and he has a sound bar and surround speakers that seems to have used cat five cable to make the connection to the rear speakers. Is there a solution available to eliminate the need for the cat five cable for the rear speakers? The model he has is called play bar

I can’t figure out the best solution for new pool area.  Speakers can be located under a hard roof pavilion so no exposure to sun/rain/snow but humidity can be significant in the summer. Pavilion has electric but is located about 100 feet from where I could place a Sonos Connect or Amp in my basement and wired to passive outdoor speakers.Is that too long of a run?Keep in mind I have existing passive outdoor speakers about 50 feet from other side of pool opposite pavilion. Those are on and below my deck with a short run (5-10 feet) just inside the foundation wall. Would the human ear notice a timing difference if playing music from both the pavilion (100 foot run) and deck (10 foot run)?

Good morning every one, I tried asking to the Sonos costumare care this information and they recommend me to post in the forum. Here I am! I’ll try to explain my doubt:I have a problem with my voice assistant’s volume. If I’m listening to the music and ask Alexa something , I cannot hear the answer because the volume is too low or the music exceeds it.Is it possible to increase the volume of the voice assistant? Is there a way to send the audio from my Android web browser to Sonos?  I am using "Sonos Play:1" and "Sonos One" speakers.I listen to former broadcasts on "catch-up" radio and many of these are only available on the radio station’s own web site. Sometimes these former broadcasts are available as podcasts but most are not.For example:   https://www.globalplayer.com/catchup/lbc/uk/46vyD81/  I seem to recall there was once an app that tried to play Andorid audio but is it still available? Is there another way to do this?

Hello, I´m having trouble with my network since I installed a sonos play 1 that my now ex-girlfriend gave me as a “present”. All my connected devices to my router are having some kind of issue… So, she  comes out of the bleu with the sonos play 1 and says she wants me to have this… She a couple of these players at home so I let her installe the thing… a couple of days later there are issues with the wireless adaptor in my laptop. It tunrs out is been switch off and replaced with a virtual adaptor. I have a little knowledge about some stuff but not enough to fix it. So I google to find things out and learn. Then I stumble on a site about dns rebinding and that sonos play 1 is compatible for this… My question now is : Can somebody please try I explain me in no technical terms but in plain and simple  Englisch, how to find out or check this device if it´s been prepared to rebind with another remote device ,server or something else. I have a quite old HD tv (Pioneer) that I love and still has lots of legs.  On Installation of the amp, we tried hooking up the tv to the in wall speakers from SONOS and the AMP as well.  What occurred was about a 2 second latency on the relationship between the visual words spoken and the sound occurring which was quite distracting.  The tech moved it to PDM on the settings which had only marginal if any effect. Is there any way to obtain added hardware to narrow/eliminate this issue?   The aesthetic of where the speakers had to be placed really necessitates removing the existing tv speakers (either side of the tv which is wall mounted also) to achieve a more pleasing wall.  

I have a Play 5 (gen 1) and just bought a Play 5 (gen 2) to be able to use new S2 app. With Play5 (gen1) I connected sound directly from computer 3.5 mm output via cable to Play5 (gen1) speaker and had no sound sync issues when watching e.g. Netflix/YouTube etc. Then I installed S2 and connected Play 5 (gen 2) and now I have sync issues, even with direct connection with 3.5 mm cable from Computer to Speaker. I set up S1 again, and unfortunately now also Play 5 (gen 1) has sound delay when playing video (Netflix/Youtube etc). Any ideas? I know the point of sonos is getting rid of cables….!

Does anybody know what the upfiring drivers in the Arc do, (if anything), with a stereo or 5.1 signal?

 I have an S1 system that I’d like to keep as S1 (x2 Play 1’s and a Connect) I now need a PlayBar and would prefer not to buy secondhand. If the refurbished PlayBar from Sonos ships with S2 then is it possible to revert to S1?  Or, does it in fact ship with S1??Thank you in advance!! Steve
