I have seen this question asked a number of times in multiple ways with no solution given. I’ll try again. I have a mesh Wi-Fi network broadcasting 2 networks: the private one, and our guest one. We want to move our Play:1 speakers to the guest network, but they keep reverting to their old (private) network! And we are getting increasingly infuriated at the abject shoddiness of the UX.• I cannot connect ethernet to the guest network — all hard connections only go to the private network. Don’t suggest this. It cannot happen.• I cannot turn off / disable the private network. It’s our primary network. Don’t suggest this. It cannot happen.How do I tell these f***ing speakers to just f***ing forget the former f***ing private network?! It’s absurd!! Basically every mainstream device made in the last 2 decades has a “forget this network” option. This should be so simple: move to a different network. When I review my Play 5 speaker Pair in the Sonos App and look at the Line-In section, only Line-In (R) is bolded while (L) is greyed. I assume that means only the R channel is getting fed to both speakers?I’ve made sure the RCA to headphone jack is connected and seated properly in the back of the Play 5.Any other suggestions, do you have a recommended RCA to Line-in cord? EDIT: I discovered the highlighted (R) or (L) shows which speaker has the Line-in physically attached, not that only one channel is connected. 

My husband has an iPhone and an iPad, I too have an iPhone and an iPad. We both have downloaded the Sonos app, and we have both logged into the app using a single Sonos account. We share one Spotify account.  All four of our devices are linked to our home Wi-Fi, and the Sonos Move is also linked to the same home Wi-Fi. I can connect to the Sonos without any problem, on MY devices, but my husband’s devices cannot connect to the Sonos Move, although we have gone through the troubleshooting/connection prompts several times, with no luck.  His Sonos app does show the Sonos Move, but it says he is not connected to it.  Shouldn't we be able to freely use all four of those devices?  We are only trying to use one of them at a time, by the way. Hi new to the communityi have a Russ sound amplifier system with 6 zones in house. I use older white Sonos Connect device to pipe music to each zone. Can I use the new Sonos Connect Amp to the Russ Sound system to get that additional wattage and better quality or just go with new Sonos Connect.  Thanks 

Hi everyone. I have an annoying problem with my sonos equipment. we are using 5 sonos 1, 1 center, 1 sub and 1 amp. We are accessing all via two iphones to acces our sonos equipment. One shows all speakers the other is missing some. Why is that ? Both phones have been restarted and are all connected to the same wifi as the entire sonos equipment. 

So I have a sonos beam connected to my Samsung smart tv via hdmi arc and I have a chromecast connected to the TV via hdmi. I stream movies using apps such as Netflix and others. Using this setup I only get pcm stereo sound and no 5.1 dolby digital with chromecast. When I use native app netflix installed on the TV 5.1 dolby digital works. We all know this by now. But my question is, if I buy a TV with built in chromecast, will 5.1 dolby digital work with my sonos beamthen?

You can start a station from any song in the YouTube Music app, but you cannot when using the Sonos App.  Why?

Just trying to get my Sonos Arc to talk with the HD Fury Arcana.   My setup is using an Apple TV as the source and an Epsom TW-3600 projector. The projector is the only screen I have access to.  When I try and setup the Sonos Arc I get an error saying CEC not connected.  How do I get my HD Fury Arcana to talk to the Sonos Arc?

I have a Playbar with Sub and two Ones as 5.1 on TV. Until recently, when I finished watching TV, the Sonos would revert to my last listened TuneIn or other Favourite after maybe fifteen minutes. Scenario: TV off - go to bed - get up - press a pause button and there should be radio. Now there isn’t. If I open the app, it is still connected to the TV (optical). I have to browse and pick the radio station. OK, this is not a reason to go crazy but it is a new unwanted behaviour. It still swaps to TV if I turn that on while another source is playing.I can not say whether this started with the latest update but it is a very recent manifestation.Has anyone else had this? Is there a fix?I did do searches before posting here. Please don’t mutter if I missed something somewhere else.

Sonos likes to hear what people want, so I’m asking the question (Yet again?). When will Sonos finally support DTS decoding for the soundbars? Seems to me that there appears to be a pretty reasonable user base (& lost sales) that is continually asking for this. Given the Arc has now been released, it would be an opportune time to support these codecs, even if they user has to pay a little more for the licensing cost involved (Via the Sonos App). Pretty sure its not easy to transcode DTS:X tracks to Dolby? (DTS is a different story)

Hi guys,my current setup is a 2016 Sony TV (xd49xd7005TV) +new AppleTV 4k (6gen): my TV has an ARC output, but no eARC. It supports up to Dolby Digital plus (no ATMOS).I’m thinking to add to this setup a Sonos Beam (2nd gen). I was just wondering how to connect the whole system. Should I connect Apple TV with my TV through HDMI and then my TV with the BEAM through ARC (using a regular HDMI cable)? Or should I do it some other way?And what sound will get out of it? Will it be Atmos? Dolby digital? Or even less? Thank you! Bart 

Recently, I’ve had intermittent connection issues, with my iPhone reporting various “system not found” types of errors. Looking into it more, it seems my phone is dropping/slow connecting back onto my wifi. Has anyone else experienced this, or can suggest a setting I need to set in the phone to resolve this? It’s an iPhone XR running iOS 14.8 which I believe is up-to-date. 

Just had our new system set up yesterday. It worked fine...turned the TV this morning and getting a message that the system can't be found.

I typically use the ‘everywhere’ default group for playing music, composed of all devices I have in my home.  My device groups / layout is as follows:GarageLiving RoomKitchenMaster BathroomMaster BedroomOffice→ All using wifi (not sonosnet) When playing music to the ‘everywhere’ group, the room listed first was always ‘Garage’, seemingly chosen because of alphabetical ordering. My problem is that the Garage room is furthest from all other speakers, and when playing highER bandwidth music like Sonos HD I would experience 3-4 cutouts + recovers within 1 minute. By changing the name of my living room to ‘1 Living Room’, I think I’ve forced the living room, the most central speaker room in the house, to be used as the group coordinator anytime its included in the group playing music. With this change I’ve had no further issues with music cutting out. Only remaining problem is if I choose to play music to all rooms besides the living room, the group coordinator will still become the Garage

Hi, just connected new LG OLED TV to new Sonos Arc . All connections and set up verified by Tv and Sonos app. I can’t get anything to play with Dolby Atmos through the Arc even if I try Apple TV4K with movies featuring Atmos. Any assistance would be appropriated. TY 

Before the latest app update, i was getting dolby atmos with hbo max on firestick tv 4k but not anymore. Does anyone here having the same problem?

Hi guys, i recently hooked a Sonos ARC to a Sony A8H TV with a HDMI cable to arc input.Client call me back a few days after saying that the bar makes a big and very loud sound with no raison while watching Smart TV (Netflix).  The only way to stop the bug sound is to power of bar or TV.I read a lot of comments about Sony TVs and soundbars, looks like an occasionaly incompatible audio codec problem.I tried with the optical adapter -- same problem.Is there a specific setting that i need to do in the audio menu of the Sony TV or in the Sonos ARC config?ThanksMarc 

Hi, I am trying to add 2x Sonos one sl speakers as surround boxes to Beam. Network router Is unifi router (one LAN network, one ssid). All connected wireless to same SSID. As regular boxes added to the same chamber both boxes function well. But if I want to add them as surround to the beam, I get an error message stating they can not connect. diagnostic number 841887912.

New to Sonos and so far not having a great time.   The main thing I want to do is have playlists that I put together in iTunes play through my Sonos One via either Alexa or Sonos app on my iPhone.After spending a while trying to get smart playlists to show up in Sonos and failing, I discovered the best I could do was to copy all the songs from smart playlists into a basic playlist and that would show up under “My Music” within Apple Music on the Sonos app.   I thought that had solved it, but if I try to play the playlists - either via the Alexa or the app - the best I can get is that sometimes they will play alphabetically...but no fun hearing same songs in same order, and cannot get shuffle to work.  Alexa either plays the playlist in alphabetical order or does nothing, and the app gives me spinning wheel then message “an error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (1002)”.I can see messages going back several years from people who have had variations on this problem so I am hopin

I am new to Sonos.  My Sonos Connect is attached to my desktop, thus leveraging the desktop app to play.  I want to know if there is a way to play the system from my Sonos iPhone app when the desktop is shut down?  I don’t want turn it on just to run the Sonos system. 

My roam won;t charge. I’ve had it for 5 months and using the same charger i have used it won’t  charge. Have tried a different charger and cable but still won’t charge. The charge light is not coming on. Hadn’t used it for about 5 days and not put on charge unitl today, it was low on battery a few days ago but it should still charge up? Been attached for 9 hours now and nothing

Is there any progress on adding NTLM v2 support to Sonos?NTLMv1 has been obsolete (and recommended to be turned off) for many years now due to security concerns. After upgrading my Synology NAS to DSM 7, shared folders no longer work as NTLM v1 has been removed.

Amazon music has a nice “my soundtrack” feature, which is based around music from bands you like, but also helps you discover similar bands and plays some nice random music. I can search a band “station” on the Sonos App, but I can’t find anything to do with “My soundtrack” - I’m guessing its just not available?

I am a long time sonos user but and just getting into podcasts. I don’t where to start accessing and playing podcasts.
