Hello,

Does anyone know the status of Play 3 hardware and if it is available on S2 Controller?

The help article is useless, I’m not sure who wrote it but clearly a MS employee because it’s confusing and doesn’t really say anything!

How much clearer could it be than to list Play:3 under 'works with all Sonos apps'?

I would say that the article you referenced was a clear and definitive statement of which Sonos devices can be part of an S1 or an S2 system, which will work with S1 only, and which will work with S2 only.

Here’s a Sonos Support Page link that shows all their products and their compatibility with S1/S2 or both Systems:

This is the very link the OP is complaining about, but its hard to understand why they are complaining.

That will teach me to to speed-read the thread (my mistake and really sorry about that 🙏), but ‘yes’ the details on that support page are really clear to me as to what devices are just supported by either the S1 or S2 Apps, or will work with both.

It’s hard to see how it could be any clearer:

Works with all Sonos apps

These products work with either the Sonos S2 app or the Sonos S1 Controller app.

...

Play:3

Drive-by? DFTT perhaps...
