Hi everyone. Hoping you can clear something up for me. When I first received and set up my Arc last Summer, I remember that the Sonos System Info (under About my System) would differentiate between the two types of Dolby Atmos audio signal received: DD+ or Dolby True HD.Having established that my Arc was capable of receiving both types of Dolby Atmos signal (depending on source, of course), I pretty much stopped paying attention (just so long as the magic 'Dolby Atmos' lights up on the app, I'm happy.I've been playing with my set up again, however, and even sources that I know to be TrueHD rather than DD+ display simply and only as DD+.Has something changed on the software end? Has anyone else noticed something similar? I'm running the latest version of the S2 app and software, 13.2.2. Nothing has changed on the hardware side (although I'm acutely aware how finickity these audio settings and set ups can be).If anyone could clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it. Cheers.

Hi there,Is there a way as an app developer to connect to the Sonos library that connects to Spotify, Pandora etc?  In some sense it would be an overlay to the actual Sonos app that does nothing more than connect to the various music services available through the Sonos app.  If the answer is "no", what would be the process to formally request this or introduce the concept for consideration by Sonos?  Thank you.

Hi guys. I have been listening FM for long with my Sonos device. It was all fine since yesterday. That tunnel what I am listening every day, it doesn't have any voice at all. It is so strange as all the other tunnels have voice instead of this one. I am really upset as I am at home nowadays and that is the only FM what I like it. Have you faced similar problem already? Can anyone help me please? Thanks a lot.

Alright, please bear with me. I know the beam is not designed to be compatible with these kinds of devices. But…. if we can be theoretical at least, what does it take to convert the digital output from the pioneer djm 900nxs mixer to a signal that the sonos beam can play?I have seen some people converting RCA to digital hdmi audio, but I just bought such a converter, and the beam would not recognize it. I then noticed that the pioneer mixer has a digital output, same physical plug/socket as a single RCA / phono connection, but should be digital, however I don’t know more about it than that. Hello,I have discovered a problem with indexing .m4a files. Some files weren’t searchable via Artist, Album or Title metadata in the music library and could only be found by browsing the folder structure. They would play ok though. The meta data of the files in questions was displayed correctly in mp3tag, VLC, Foobar etc…, only my Sonos system had an issue with indexing them. I was able to circumvent the problem by running an ffmpeg script, that stripped and rewrapped the metadata information. After applying this workaround, the files were also indexed correctly in Sonos. With some more research and a lot of help from the mp3tag forum (https://community.mp3tag.de/t/m4a-and-sonos-sonos-doesnt-seem-to-recognize-album-title/52450/5 ), we were able to pin down the difference to an entry in the Codec-ID.  Long story short:If the Codec ID of an .m4a file is “mp42/isom”, Sonos will not index it correctly but it can be played.But if it is “M4A/isom/iso2” Sonos will index and play it correctly.

Hey all. I have a router with wifi pretty far from my setup below.However, at my setup I have a Sonos Connect 1 that is ethernet wired connected to my router.Next (as in, 50cm) to my Sonos Connect 1, I have two Sonos Ikea Symfonisk which is wireless. I am using OS S1 and according to “About my system” everything is “WM:0”. From I understand, if a single device (my Sonos Connect 1) is ethernet wired, it will create the Sonosnet for all other (wireless) devices.If so, how come my Symfonisk speakers are repeatedly getting hiccups/stutters while playing music (from my connect)? Shouldn’t the short distance basically make the connection flawless in theory?

I have a Beam used only for music - ie playing YouTube music.  I’m happy with the quality of sound but would like it to be louder. What’s the best speaker/s I could add to it to make it louder? Thank you. 

Hi all,Recently I’ve moved from my apartment, and tried to set my sonos system as before in my new place :1 beam + 2 one SL (used as surround, behind the couch)I had to factory reset my 3 speakers for them to work within my new home.The problem is that whenever I want to get the in the same room : Living room, it seems that my beam is duplicating the room as such « Living Room 2 ». At the end of the day I have 3 speakers which won’t get to work together because virtually they’re in different rooms…It’s pretty frustrating because no one seemed to have that problem before.Does anyone know how to fix this ?Thanks!

Apologies if this has been covered before Recently bought a LG TV (LG OLED65GX6LA)  Running the latest Firmware 03.23.35 , and have linked up my soundbar via a optical cable and have two Sonos play ones as rear speakers and a sub and it used to work well. Since september I only get sound via internal speaker.I control the playbar and my TV using Logitech Harmony.Adressing the Playbar using the Sonos App Version 13.2.2 and Build 64320120. I can play music as usual but no sound from the TV or via HDMI connected devices via playbar or satelites.I don’t know what changed, but it’s frustrating not getting any surround sound... 

I have a system that was setup by an installer that is no longer available.  It consist of several of the white Connect:Amp that operate in wireless mode.  I would like to add an additional system to power some new outdoor speakers.  I don’t think the Connect;Amp are still available.  What product should I add?  It would be two speakers with about a 100 foot run of cable.  Thanks

Hello, everyone!I am currently using Sonos Arc with two Sonos One SL and a Sonos Sub. I am perfectly happy with this setup used for TV, but not so when listening to music. I find the stereo field too narrow from the front. As such, I am thinking of buying two Sonos Fives to widen the stereo image.First of all, is it even a good idea? Will incorporating two Fives into the setup (situated further apart than the width of Arc) a viable way to accomplish my goal?Secondly - will it be possible to configure all of the speakers into one setup? If not, is it possible to have two configurations (Arc+2xSL+Sub AND 2xFive+2xSL+Sub) and change them on-the-fly? Or will I have to manually reconfigure everything everytime I would like to change from “Movie Time” to “Music Time” (not a good scenario)?

Hi!I have problem with my old sonos system after switching to a new router ASUS Rt-ax82u. To adress the problem i’ve bought a sonos boost.I’ve reset all devices and chose a new system in the S1 app. However the problem is that the S1 app says it cant install the boost.I guess the boost came preconf with S2 software so is there anything I can do to downgrade? I’ve tried to factory reset the boost.BRanders  

This is my first post on the forum, and I’m hoping a problem can be solved.I have a Playbar I bought in November 2019 connected to a Sony 77-inch TV I bought in August 2020. These are co-located and connected with the optical fibre cable. Everything operates perfectly except for the remote control aspect. Both the TV and the Playbar have their latest firmware builds.The TV and all its functions respond perfectly to the remote control over at least an 80 degree angle on each side of centre of the TV, i.e., almost the full hemisphere of control, whereas the Playbar volume and mute functions respond only to about 45 degrees on each side of centre, half of the hemisphere. In my family room, because of its design, the TV and Playbar are in their “best” positions, and I’m wishing to be able to use the full ± 80 degrees angle with the remote because of seating arrangements.On the TV sound settings, I have selected “external sound system” instead of “internal speakers”.  Unfortunately, in this

Hi all,I have a Sonos Arc connected to LG C1. I have tuned with Trueplay and Sonos app tells me I am listening in Dolby Atmos. However, when I slide the Height Adjustment left and right on the Sonos app while watching and listening to Atmos content, there is no difference in sound. Should it be noticeable? Any tips? I just want to make sure that the top firing speakers are working. 

I am suddenly unable to fast forward in a song on the Android Sonos S2 app. Is anyone else having the same issue?

We live in a 5,000 square feet, multi level home. We have 24 Sonos speakers and use a Comcast Infinity Gateway router. Also on the system are security cameras, and two each of iPads, computers and iPhones.I’ve talked with customer service a half dozen times and the most recent call resulted in the conclusion that I have interference both within the house from other devices - and from the neighbors’ Comcast WiFi systems. The system is unstable at all times. Trying to assemble a collection of speakers (not already in a group) is rarely viable. I’ve connected four speakers to the four available Ethernet ports located throughout the house, and one speaker is connected at the router. I have four boosts that seem to provide no benefit. I am considering Google Mesh or Ethernet power line adapters, but am open to any recommendations. Please offer any advice. Thanks.    

Hi,I am considering upgrading my TV to an HDMI 2.1 capable device with ARC/eARC support (for future proofness) and specifically I am looking at the Philips OLED 806 or 807.Many thanks to @pwain for reporting so thoroughly the issues he is encountering related to eARC & Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos on this and other fora! However, I am getting a bit worried that I will have similar issues with this TV.Specifically, I am running the Sonos AMP with two passive B&W boxes as fronts, and two Sonos Ones as back speakers. I believe at this point, the Sonos AMP supports just plain ARC (no eARC), so this probably simplifies the situation a bit. I use the latest Apple TV 4K for playback with Plex/Infuse.Does anyone else here have any experience to share with the Philips OLED 806 or 706 and the Sonos AMP in a similar setup as described above?

Hello,I wonder if you could tell me when will Sonos begin working with Alexa in Chile.I red a lot of comments related to Amazon servers capability, but I disagree. If the problem were Amazon servers, how could be possible for Amazon Dot or Amazon Echo Dot to work in Chile so well?I feel that Sonos is not interested in making an effort to solve this because we are a small market. What a shame! 

As stated in the title, I think the Sonos S1 devices (such as the Connect Amp, the Connect and the Playbar) are all connecting to the one and only Google Wifi router in the other room. I would like them to connect to Google Wifi AP that is in the same room as they are. I have everything working except this issue, all the units have a “weak connection” to the Wifi. It would be great if there is a way to make the Sonos units see the local AP.

We have a Sonos system setup at home and it works fine, but I can only login to the Sonos S2 app using my husbands credentials. I have my own Sonos account (that works when logging in on the website) and I have tried to renew my password, but everytime I try to login to the app it says the account doesn’t exist or there is a login error. When I am using my husband’s login on my phone it works fine to login, but I want my own playlists and everything from my Spotify account.. any ideas why I can’t login using my own Sonos account? Playing the UHD blu-ray of ZS Justice league on my PS5, I can get multi-Chanel Dolby digital  via my TV’s Arc to Sonos Arc, but not Atmos. My TV is capable of Dolby digital plus pass through and I can get Atmos via my nVidea Shield for Apple TV app etc. and it will show Dolby Atmos in my Sonos app. However, I can’t seem to pass through Dolby digital plus from my PS5 to my Sonos Arc via the TV. I only have an Arc on the TV, not an eArc. Is this a limitation of the PS5 or am I missing something in the settings of the PS5? I’ve changed all the usual settings such as AV amp, Dolby instead of PCM and bitstream on the playback settings for the blu-ray menu. I seem capable of getting Dolby digital 5.1 displayed in the Sonos app but, is there a way to get Atmos that I’m missing given this setup?
