I am trying to add a Ray onto an existing system that has a combination of old and new Sonos products.I have a Play 5 (Gen 1) and a Play 5 (Gen 2) and a Sonos One.  So far with my existing kit, I have been able to use the Sonos S1 app to control them all and it’s been fine.Trying to add the new Ray onto the system and the Sonos S1 app says the Ray is not compatible and I have to use the new Sonos app… but if I use the new Sonos app, it says I won’t be able to use my existing Play 5 (Gen 1).I don’t want to have to get rid of my Gen 1, nor do I want to do the Sonos upgrade. How can I make the Ray work?

Can I connect a Sonos 1 gen 2 speaker with a Sonos move

I moved from a different country and computer with my Sonos devices. Therefore I had to move my music folders to a different relative location.I deleted the old folders from my Music Library in Sonos. Then I added the new folder locations back in Sonos Music Library. Now I can see and use playlists on my MacBook app, but not on the iPhone.

I have my Sonos ARC connected to my Roon software as an endpoint. For a reason unknown to me, the TV the soundbar is connected to does not show up in my Roon system as a display (I assume it is Cromecast), yet my other apps (ones with the casting logo) work just fine. Is there something in the Sonos system that is denying the Chromecast connection? Or is it something else? Thanks!

Hallo i’ve a couple on Sonos One (one and one sl). If i’am not wrong buying a Ray let me allow to stream sounds from pc (youtube, games etc). This Ray will also enhance my music listening experience or won’t add any enhancement?is there any other product that will really improve the listening experience in my room and let me also connect the PC?Or the best would be buying sub mini for the two ones and a dedicated one amp for pc?

I used to control my Sonos system in the UK with Alexa. Now I have moved to Spain, I tried to enable the Sonos Alexa skill but it tells me it is not available in my region.  Most posts I am reading here at over 4year old - is it still not available? How weird, Wi-Fi in Spain is the same as in the UK. Any solution?

Good morning. New to this forum.I have purchased a Beam 2 and hooked it up to my Sony Xr55a90j Works fine but with HD terrestrial channels e.g. itv, c4 and bbc HD because the sound format is different to standard def the volume is quieter. For normal about 30 works for me but change to an HD channel and have to increase to 40 at least. Is there any way round this? Also is there any way to power save the beam off. Ideally would be nice to switch it off and on with the Sony remoteThanks

Hi I have a beam gen1 and sub in my lounge,I’m thinking about upgrading to an arc but wondering if an arc and sub would be too much in a 16x12 room it will be connected to a Sony a84j tv with e arc Tia

My Sonos One speaker fails when updating. Its a 2019 Gen 2 model. the unit has a wired connection to home router, and definitely has internet access since Alexa voice assistant is working ok. It stopped playing spotify song requests recently. So I opened the Sonos S2 App and it wont let me do anything except apply the latest update. The update gets to final stage and then fails with an Error code 6  I followed all the troubleshooting hints from Sonos support article regarding error updating :1. Set static IP 2. Rebooted my router and fiber modem (I have a TP-Link Home Mesh router system )3. I have powered the unit off/on  multiple times.(https://en.community.sonos.com/speakers-229128/code-error-6-6877525) I have tried several times to do the update, but it fails every time. Have successfully done updates before, I never had an issue.  Any suggestions how this can be resolved ? See attached images.

I have had two Sonos Play 1 speakers for maybe four years old in my office, synced and playing together for a long time. Today, all of the sudden one of the speakers was off-line and I cannot seem to get it to connect again - it is the strangest thing. I have pressed all the different reset button configurations, I have plugged it into the Ethernet, I have put it right next to the router, I have let it sit unplugged for three hours, I have restarted my phone, nothing seems to be working. Any ideas??

Somebody sent me a file on whatsapp.  how do I play it on my Sonos system ?

I appreciate that Amazon have changed the format of their products and you can access less with prime however I still have more functionality when I use the Amazon Music app vs accessing Amazon via the Sonos app. For instance on the amazon app I can still see track listings on certain albums whereas on the Sonos app it just launches into playing the album and I’m not able to look at it select certain tracks?

We’ve had a Sonos One for a while and we use an Apple Ipod Touch to run it. For some reason recently Apple Music has come uncoupled from the Sonos app, so while we can play music on the Ipod, we cant play it on the Sonos. The Sonos app seems to think the Apple Music account needs the subscription refreshed. This is paid up, so not the issue. It seems that the Sonos app cant be updated anymore on the Ipod which also means we are not able te re-authorise the account or even remove it. It would be very disappointing if the Sonos app and therefore the Sonos won’t work because the app is outdated and we are not able to relink the Apple Music account.

Hello everybody,Im writing this topic because i cant find a clear solution to my problem.I got a Samsung TV (2016) where i got my sonos system (sonos one SL x2, Sub, Sonos beam).I’m using the optical cable because this old tv dosent have the eARC HDMI.I’m going to upgrade my tv to a new one and i’m goint to use the HDMI eARC for my sonos system.I would like to know what do i have to do to move my sonos system from the old TV to a the new one.I don’t know if i need only to install the new remot controller or else.Thank you very much for your help.

I am going to install 4 in-ceiling speakers and connect them to the amp. What speaker cable do I need to use for the connection? Is 2x1.5 cm cable enough or do they have to be thicker - 2x2.5 cm?

I recently bought a Sonos One and Ive noticed that it has a static-like sound. It’s not very loud but noticeable when quiet, it is more noticeable when activating the speaker. The best way to describe the noise is almost like a hard drive sound. Is this considered normal or should the speaker be entirely silent at all times?

Drop songs non stop from various speakers.  I think the software for sonos is under performing.

RE: TV with surround sound and sound bar independant from surround sound.I want to be able to toggle between using the sound bar and sourround sound, in other words I don't want to have surround sound on all the time.Tech said todays TV's don't allow for the toggle back and forth (HDMI)? optical?A solution might be a Sonos amp and a sonos sound bar that would work but I have a few concerns.Do I have to use the Sonos phone app to change volume? Can I toggle between sonos sound beam and surround sound (sonos amp)Can I use the DirecTV box/remote to adjust volume

Use Connect link to turntable but will not update. Error message says "incompatible"

My 2 week old Sonos Arc died yesterday. Used it during the afternoon without issues and at night, when I connected the TV again, it not longer registered. Followed all the instructions ( rebooting the router, reconnecting the power cable, etc.. ) and nothing worked. The Sonos Arc is completely dead - touching the buttons doesn’t do anything. Sub + Sonos One SL are still powered on and register when I touch the buttons - no power issues at all. All my home theater devices are connected to power surge protected extension cords. The TV is connected to the same extension as the Arc - so is the sub. All are working just fine. My Sonos Arc was a refurbished model - maybe it was a dud? Tried to reach the support team with no success - Live chat says no representatives are available and phone number for Portugal is disconnected. How can I get help? I can’t seem to even find an e-mail contact. I’d like to active my warranty as soon as possible so I can get a replacement. Thank you.

Hello!Allow me to start mentioning that I am aware of similar threads in the community (this forum and reddit) but none of the proposed solutions worked for me. :(I have been using ARC for over a year without any issue. I recently added a Sub (gen3) and the result is somewhat disappointing: The sub is too quiet. Less than volume 10 I cannot tell the difference it makes, and even at +15 it is not impressive. My setup:LG OLED CXArc connected via HDMI 2 (earc enabled, bitstream, passthrough)I have multiple HDMI connected via Philips sync box (for the lights) - Apple TV 4k (2022) and a PS5.I have tried removing the sync box completely and plugging the ATV / PS5 directly to the TV with the same results.Sub (gen3)All the cables are certified hdmi 2.1The Sonos App tells me I am properly getting Atmos (ATV) or Dolby 5.1 (PS5). The sound is great, it is just the bass being underwhelmingI have tried placing the sub in different locations, true play on and off dozens of times, player with EQ bass

Hello,a SonoS one has been stolen, is there a way to find where it is ,if connected to wi fi, and/or de activate it?

Not fit for purpose the app rarely finds the speakers, lots of people having the same problem, look at the reviews on the Google play store. The old app worked fine.
