what speaker cable should i use for the connection in-ceiling speakers to amp?

I am going to install 4 in-ceiling speakers and connect them to the amp. What speaker cable do I need to use for the connection? Is 2x1.5 cm cable enough or do they have to be thicker - 2x2.5 cm?
