Testing atmos functionality on Arc Ultra

I just got an arc ultra.  Connected through a regular arc port.  I cannot tell if the spatial effects are working correctly.  Is there a way to test this?  Like a youtube video with sounds that ping around the room?

Optimizing Sonance VX60R speakers

I have just set up 4 Sonance VX60R speakers in the ceiling of my studio and want to optimize them with my Sonos Amp. The speakers are all wired correctly and there are no switches or volume controls. When I try to optimize the speakers on the Sonos App I hear the high pitched tone but receive a message saying “No Sonos architectural speakers detected. Any help optimizing this set up would be appreciated.

Beam volume won't go above 15

My Sonos of Beam has developed a fault (volume limited to 15), and the web support (chat) could not help.My Beam volume keeps bouncing back to 15, whatever I do, and to be clear: Have factory reset and re-added to my system There is NO volume limit set on the Beam (100%) Happens if used as a standalone speaker or with HDMI connected (note: Sonos support agent was adamant this is just a TV soundbar - I had to explain the Beam can be used just as another speaker, it does not have to be used as a soundbar.   Sonos - please trained your staff up!! That was Maria S) The LED status light had been blinking white then amber, when connected using ethernet, disconnecting ethernet solved that issue, but not the volume issue. Have used Beam in isolation, grouped with other speakers, and also paired as a surround setup (Sub 4 + 2 x Play:3s as surrounds) - the grouping and pairing all fine, except volume still limited to 15. I submitted a diagnostic to web support (chat agent Maria S), but this was

HelloI just installed new ERA100I had to verify my Windows Sonos version update.I did it, update is done and OKBUT in the app Can’t have my normal user screen back.If I restart the app, the PC, I can see the normal user screen 1 second but after I come back on the screen “please verify your updated version..”What is going on ?

Sonos Master Account Recovery

I have had a Sonos system for nearly 10 years and it’s always been associated with the same email address.  Recently one of my speakers needed to be factory reset and re-added to my system.  In the process of doing this I realized that I am no longer considered the owner of my system and while my email and login info will log me into the Sonos app, it does not give me control over my system and won’t let me make any changes including adding speakers.  I’ve called Sonos and they were very unhelpful and wouldn’t even verify what the email address is that’s associated with my system.  I’ve had an iTunes account stolen from me in the past and Apple was able to give me back control of my iTunes account after removing the Russian email address the hacker attached to my account.  Does anyone know how I can regain control of my system without starting over and factory resetting every speaker and adding them to a new account?   I have 30+ speakers and this process would take the better part of

Alexa says Arc Ultra is offline

Hi, I’ve moved my Arc Ultra from my flat to my girlfriend’s house and set it up there. It’s connected to her WiFi, all skills set up on the Alexa app and plays Spotify or radio through the Sonos app. The Samsung TV plays perfectly through it, my problem is when I give voice commands to Alexa, it confirms the command, then Tells me that device is offine….if anyone can help I’d be most grateful.  Alexa worked perfectly when I had the Arc set up at my flat, before I moved it to hers, and set up a new system there…….

incorrect wifi password trying to setup on wifi

I have recently gone back to Comcast cable and can’t get my Sonos to go on WiFi. my units are between 5-7 years old and they were working fine before I moved back to Comcast. I have spent hours talking to AI but nothing has worked. it works with the Ethernet but when I try to put one on the WiFi I get a incorrect password. I have rebooted, unplugged , changed WiFi password and changed my security firewall to zero.  any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Playbar losing volume 0% on extended pause or Power on.

Greetings,I have the Sonos Playbar Model 48, OS: S2, Version 17.0 (build) 85.0-64200) Hardware version 1.9.1.10-2.2It’s connected to my TCL C745 4K QLED TV (Android TV OS Version 12, security patch 5 May 2024 (I probs need to update that) Kernal 5.4.233+I have the Optical out connected from the TV to the Playbar (as it does not have HDMI).I also have an Amazon Fire TV Stick - Fire OS 8.1.3.7 (RS8137/2904) Fire TV Home Version 7201001.1 connected to the TV via HDMI and connected via a Network cable into the official Amazon Fire TV adaptor.Ok, that’s all the numbers out of the way.So, I use the Fire TV for everything, When I pause Netflix or Prime for any longer than about 5 minutes, when I come back to resume (press play on the Fire TV remote again). The volume is gone. I have to press the volume up button a few times before it comes back.I have gone through all three devices and ensured any sleep timers are off.My TV has its default output set to Optical.My Fire TV has its Sound and Vo

Using Epson LS12000 projector + SONOS Arc + PlayStation 5/Nintendo Switch

Hey Community, I’m hoping you can help me figure out a solution to a problem I’m having getting any audio at all to come through my SONOS home theater system when I switch over to use one of our gaming systems. I have a home theater system in place that includes as Arc, two Play Ones as surrounds and a Gen 4 sub. That is all connected to my Epson LS12000 projector and I use an AppleTV 4K for streaming. That all works great. However, when I manually unplug the AppleTV from the projector and plug in a gaming system instead, I’m able to get the picture but no sound. I have no clue why. I’ve read pretty well every thread I can find that approaches this area, but haven’t found an exact match or developed a better understanding of the context of the situation. If anyone can help explain it to me, I’d be very appreciative of that!

Sonos Ace headband loose part

So i got my Ace headset around January and have been absolute loving them, the ANC is super sweet and the sound too. about a month ago i slid my fingers across the headband and noticed there was a sharp bumb, still not sure what it is, as i dont really wanna take them apart. My question is, if this is reason to send them back, ive been very careful with them as its an expensive piece of electronic for me, and im afraid the sharp thing will eventually pierce the headband.

local music plays from iPhone, but not iPad

All of a sudden I cannot play my localy stored music anymore from my iPad. Same music is on my iPhone and no issues with that device.So same music (NOT downloaded music from Apple, but own music tranfered from pc) plays without any problem from iPhone (like it always did) but not from iPad.I can see all the songs and can select by Airplay where they have to be played, but I don’t hear anything. After about 10 seconds the music starts playing by the speakers of the iPad.Changed nothing to the system and all devices are updated.Already reinstalled app on iPad without any result. Any solutions/ideas?

Problems with calls

I have had a couple of SONOS ACE and they all have the same problem, the audio in the calls. When making calls people can't hear me in the best way, it's as if the microphones didn't work the right way. The problems that the people I talk to mention to me is that they hear interference or that my voice is too low. I thought that with the new update this problem would be solved but no. I recently connected my SONOS ACE through the USB - C cable to my iPhone and the surprise was that the audio problem in the calls was solved, the people I talk to can hear me very well. My question is do you know how to fix this problem with the wireless connection? Or do you know if SONOS is working on fixing this problem? Does the same thing happen to you?

Volume for Line-In via the App

At first I play side one of a vinyl record. Making sure to use the slider to set the volume. However sometimes when I turn over to side two, and press play, the volume goes way up to 100%, busting my neighbours eardrums 😃. Is it a known problem? Any fixes?

Music library imported playlists (WPL) stopped working

I have a music library that includes Windows Media Player (WPL files) playlists. I am continually curating these and they are primarily what I play. In the app I select Music Library, Imported Playlists, the playlist of interest, and then start using the Play button.Some weeks ago, this functionality stopped working. Pressing the Play button resulted in a spinning icon. Whereas doing this used to clear the existing queue and then play, this was no longer the case. I had to explicitly first clear the queue myself, and then pressing play would work. Ok, I got around that and lived with it.However, as of last weekend (Sat 3/22), this no longer worked, and further, playing my imported playlists does not work at all. Pressing Play results in an endlessly spinning icon. Pressing the ellipsis icon (...) and then trying alternate methods results in:Play Now: something went wrong Play Next: unable to add to queue Add to end of queue: Unable to add to queue Replace queue: spinning play iconPlayi

I have an Arc/Sub 3/Era 300 home theater system and i’m having a lot of problems with performance. will connecting every speaker to ethernet help? Right now only the Arc is wired.

Apple music, item not available.

Hi, I have recently noticed that on my Sonos playlists about 50% of the songs which I access via Apple Music are displaying a ‘item no longer available’ and not playing. If I take them off the playlist and then re-add them, the song plays so it’s obviously ‘available’. I have de-activated/activated the account to see if that clears the problem but to no avail. I’m just getting frustrated by spending so much time re-doing my playlists. It appears to be a problem with the S2 app. Any suggestions?

sonos connect amp gen2 local music

I want to purchase sonos connect amplifier , I shall be setting up a WiFi connection with Internet. In the event Internet is down momentary on my WiFi,  will I still be able to play stored music on phone over the WiFi on sonos connect amp?Internet services is unreliable in my region, I don't want to get frustrated not been able to play music when Internet is down?

Surrounds for off axis viewing

My couches are either side of the tv, running perpendicular with the soundbar. I am wondering which era model would be more forgiving as I'll be putting them behind one of the couches? Other option i have is to move the couch all the way back to the window, about 15ft from the tv and place the surrounds behind me there.

Can’t control Playbar volume using LG OLED TV remote

Hi folks,I’ve got an LG OLED55C8PLA TV, connected a Sonos Playbar by optical cable. For years I’ve been able to adjust the volume of the TV output through the Playbar using the LG magic remote.  As of about a week ago, this has stoped working. I can adjust the volume of music through the SONOS app using the remote, and I can adjust the volume of the TV using the app, but not the TV output with the remote. I’ve replaced the remote and it hasn’t helped. I’ve tried the Remote Control Set-up in the SONOS app too. Have contacted LG and SONOS for help, but neither could fix it.It may be an LG firmware update, but I’d have thought someone else might have had the same problem and can’t see that others have. Anyone have any helpful ideas?Dave
