In our Family Room, I have an Arc, a Sub, and an Amp (connected to two Yamahas) to complete a surround sound system. When having guest over, I often want to have music play throughout the house, including in the Family Room, but have the TV (muted) playing a sporting event. On a few occasions I’ve lucked into this setup. But I’d like to know the proper way to make this happen when I need to.

I would like to purchase a bluetooth pickup for my acoustic guitar and stream it to my Sonos Roam. Has anyone done this?

Hi everyone,  I’ve been experiencing occasional audio dropouts on my Sonos setup over the last week. The music will play fine for a while, then suddenly cut out for a second or two before resuming. It’s not constant, but noticeable enough to be distracting.I’ve already tried rebooting my router and speakers, and the signal strength in the room seems okay. Before I start changing network settings or switching channels, I wanted to ask the community:- Is this usually related to WiFi interference?- Does enabling or disabling SonosNet make a difference?- Any recommended steps for diagnosing where the issue is coming from?Would really appreciate any tips from people who’ve dealt with similar dropouts. Hallo all.I recently bought a Beam (gen 2), mini-sub and 2x Era100. Beam connects fine most the time, mini sub connects but doesn’t link or register so doesn’t make sound. When I attach the eras, they connect and can play music. When I try to play the same music on all three (without mini sub), it won’t let me. And it keeps saying cannot connect, please try again later.generally speaking, the whole system seems to be intermittently connecting to whatever it chooses. we don’t have a wifi extender, but we do have smart bulbs and plugs that use wifi connectivity.any ideas…? Would be super appreciated! :-)

I’m considering upgrading from my Apple homepods to a Sonos multi-room system for an improved sound and movie experience.I believe I can use my Apple Music and Spotify accounts already without issue.But before I make the jump I’d also like to know if I can listen to Lbc, Classic FM and Gold UK radio stations without a preroll ad or jingles before I start listening.I’m not a fan of the tunein radio model and would also  not be interested in any more subscriptions, I have more than enough of those already.Considering the outlay will be substantial, could someone please help out, before I make an order.Thanks for the heads up on this subject.

I recently stumbled upon the very interesting web app. I have three different locations on the same Sonos account, each with its own system (Home, Work, Office). The web app allows me to control and manage multiple systems remotely, which is fantastic.Once I've connected a system, I can't switch to another one. I have to disconnect and reconnect, but I can't change systems. Each time, I have to disconnect, clear all history and cookies to see the system options when I log in.Question 1: Do you have a simpler solution for switching between the Home, Work and Office systems (these are 3 different addresses)? Tinny, Metallic, Physically Painful Audio on Beam Gen 2 After Several Months of Use – Am I Going Crazy? Hi everyone,I’m having a really frustrating issue with my Beam Gen 2 and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar or can point me in the right direction.After about 6–8 months of use, the sound quality suddenly becomes extremely harsh and unpleasant, especially when using Audible or Spotify through the Sonos app. Voices take on a tinny, metallic, almost “radio-crackle” distortion, and the highs become so sharp that it causes physical ear pain and worsens my tinnitus, even at low volumes. At the same time, the mids become barely audible, and the lows turn into a solid wall of sound, almost muddy and overpowering.This has now happened with two different Beam Gen 2 units, both showing the same symptoms after several months both at 6 to 8 months. As the title says, I tried hooking up my Hisense 65Q9G to the Arc Ultra via ARC and have not been able to get 5.1 to come through properly. If I set the audio channel to in mpv (video player) to stereo or 2.1 the sound seems to come through fine, but when 5.1 is sent to the TV centre (or front in general) channel audio is missing, so dialog are notably absent. This is when the source is my desktop, which was sending 5.1 DD successfully to my old Denon AVR. Playing a video from the TVs Prime app seems to work (5.1 surround), so it seems the issue may just be a failure to pass-through, rather than not being able to provide the data to the Sonos via ARC at all. Does anyone have any experience with this or similar “old” TVs with ARC? It is starting to look like my only option if I want to stick with the Sonos setup is to upgrade to a TV with eARC (with confirmation that the particular model actually handles external pass-through properly).PS: ARC is indeed selected in the Audio menu of the

Why is there no method to directly remove a speaker?  I have to wait for a timeout for my blown Sub 3 to be removed?These nanny-only methods are infuriating.  Some of your customers want to just get things done.  SONOS you can do better.

I have the beam soundbar connected via HDMI (eARC), with a Sub Mini connected wirelessly to the beam.   Each time I turn the tv off, the sub disconnects from the Beam.  I have to unplug the Beam, then power it back on - the sub reconnects.  Any suggestions to keep the Sub Mini connected to the Beam?

I have a Sonos Roam (first generation) and a Sonos Connect:Amp (maybe 1st gen).When using the Sonos App - I can see both the amp and the roam, and control music. Things work flawlessly beyond the app being horrific.When using spotify directly - I can see both the amp and the roam and control music. This experience works the best.When using Apple Music - I can ONLY see the roam, and control music. I can’t see to get it connected to the amp. I have tried normal troubleshooting steps (restarting amp, etc), however nothing have been able to work. I’m trying to transition from Spotify to Apple Music. Any ideas to fix? Does the amp just not work with airplay but spotify is able to work around it?

I have a Sonos Beam Gen1 + 2 Play Five Gen2 + Submini. When playing music using the Sonos App, the Submini has no sound; the diaphragm doesn't respond. Could someone please help me? Thank you.

Hi guys! I recently bought a pair of era 300 mainly to listen to music. With Roku's app I can stream the audio to the pair and it works good. However I am missing some of that 5.1 experience because Bluetooth from Roku is kinda limited. So I was thinking of adding a soundbar to the system. Will the era300 full functions be too limited if I pair it with a beam? Will it work as 5.1 system anyway, with Dolby Atmos? Also: to hear music I have to create a different system within the Sonos app? Read some stuff about this here in this forum and got only more confused

Hello, I have bought a new sofa “paramount” from Sofology UK. It comes with vibrating seat function for enhanced movie experience. Not considering how locked down the Sonos system is I have clearly overlooked this. The sofa can connect via Bluetooth to the Tv and works fine but this means not using my beam or 100s that I use for surrounds. I appreciate this is a long shot but is there any work around I could do to make use of the sofa. Only option I have come up with is to link my phone to the sofa and play the film both on my tv and phone at the same time, but this would not work for any live Tv and is also just a faff. Dear Sonos Support Team,I am writing to express my growing frustration with ongoing issues involving my Sonos system. My speakers have been continuously disconnecting and refusing to reconnect, and from what I can determine, these problems appear to be tied to the recent AWS outage.When I called your support line for assistance, I was connected to an overseas representative who was not familiar with the issue and unable to provide any meaningful resolution. After requesting to speak with a U.S.-based representative, I waited approximately 20 minutes only to be told that none were available. There has to be a better solution to resolving product issues than relying on representatives who are not knowledgeable about the product—especially considering that this system was not inexpensive.As a long-time fan of Sonos, it is disappointing that the system’s heavy dependence on the app and cloud services has led to such unreliability. So i own 2 Play:1s. And the one downstairs is fine, and works normally, The one upstairs (the one that’s having issues), works fine in the sonos app, but on alexa, it still said device offline. So i looked it up, and found that i could deregister it from my alexa account, then add it back, however when i add a speaker, it doesn’t find it during the search.  

I have 4 x Play:1s and am getting fed up with the workarounds I have to use to play my own music. I know Play:1 isn;t compatible with Airplay per se, but I thought there might be a way of getting to work if I add a 5th, more recent Sonos device to the group. Is this is true, and iso, could somebody advise on the cheapest/easiest way of doing this? Thank you

For more than one and a half year, Sonos users have been waiting for a solution to the annoying issue that it isn’t possible to play albums (eg. from symphonies): When a movement (or song) has finished, it doesn’t continue to the next one. This is what ​@Jamie A from the Sonos staff wrote three months ago on a one and a half your old issue:I’ve contacted our team and raised this with them, after testing on my end and asking my colleague to try as well, we also weren’t able to play albums using IDAGIO. This has been raised as an issue as this is not expected and I’ve tagged this thread with the relevant bug report.We don’t have an ETA to share on when this will be resolved, but the team is aware and working on a resolution. I was informed that this should only occur on the mobile version of the app, you should still be able to queue using the desktop version of the Sonos app. Another workaround would be to make a playlist of the album in the desktop app, which I understand is not ideal

One of my Era300 speakers has started making a repetitive, but random rhythm, drumming sound. Whether I am playing music or not. Once I turn it on and off, it stops for a while and then restarts. Anyone else have the same issue? It’s only the left one that does this. 

Hi, trying to add a Connect Amp but it requires an update first.It keeps going in a loop (gives update button option, I click it then it loops back to click the update option again)but doesn't show an error code. Also tried downgrading to the previous Sonos S1 app. Fails to find the amp. Tried the usual reboot after factory reset of holding in the speaker/mute button until it goes into pair mode (green colour). Cleared out the android app cached data as well and tried the website app but it doesn't allow you to add a device....grrrAnyone know how to sort this?

I created a new Spotify account.  The Sonos app will let me remove the old spotify service but when i try to log in to the new service it automatically authorizes the old one without letting me log in to the new one. Has anyone found a work around for this?
