Hi all

after a bit of advice.
I have built a golf simulator in my garden in a tall log cabin.
currently I have a gaming pc and sky stream box connected to a projector via hdmi. (No eARC support)

I output the sound from the projector via 3.5mm output and then into a cheap soundbar and sub from creative. It works but I want to upgrade the sound.

so my question is, can I go from my projector using the 3.5mm aux cable into a era 100 using the adaptor, but also have a 2nd era 100 to create a Stereo pair?
is there any lag / delay?
also… could I then add a mini sub at some point?

being standard stereo connection what’s the sound quality going to be like?

thanks

There would be the unavoidable Sonos 75ms analogue connection lag, yes.

Can that be addressed in the delay settings in the app?

Not really, and not effectively. Its function is more to synch other speakers to a ‘home theater’ setup, it doesn’t reduce the software induced delay.

No.  The app allows you to increase the line-in delay, not decrease it.  Aside from the soundbars and Amp specifically made for video sources, Sonos is not recommended for real time performance or audio synced with video.

3.5 mm sound quality is going to be what you send it, the internal conversion to digital preserves the quality.
