Has anyone experienced a solid red status light (to0 led) and flashing red battery light (bottom led)?I have read the info pertaining to what colour means what but the combination above is not covered, I have tried soft and hard resets to no avail. The speaker will not ‘reboot’ or enter into set up mode. I will connect it to power to see if the battery has run so low that it has upset the delicate piece of electronics. This is the second time I have had a strange combination of lights and tech support talked me through some troubleshooting not on the website although I am not sure 100% that they knew what the issue was and it was resolved by coincidence and trial and error. Has anyone else had this issue? The lights are definitely red. Not orange. Could be a hardware fault? Is the unit faulty. Not been happy with the speaker’s reliability in all. Sounds great but is problematic in connecting to multiple phones using simple Bluetooth. What must us be so complicated!
I am trying to connect my Sonos One SL speakers to a guest network away from my home that has no password. The app won’t let me connect to the network without a password, however. Is there a fix for this?
My Sonos move speaker doesn’t appear to be charging. There is no white light bar on. The only white light on top is the speaker symbol. How can I get my speaker back up and running.
I have a Sonos Roam that just stopped working. I bought it in April, 2022 so it is about a year and a half old.Symptoms:Over the past weeks, it has not charged fully on the charging pad. I know it is the Roam and not the pad because I have two Roams and two pads. Swapped them and the other Roam did not have a problem charging. It would charge to 100% if I plugged into the USB-C port. Two days ago, it was dead. Not charging on the pad. When I plug power into the USB port, the red charging light stays on continuously. Actually for over 24 hours at this point. Pressing the button on the back of the speaker does nothing. It doesn’t turn on. It does not try to connect to blue tooth. It has no effect on the red charging light.I’m guessing the battery died and am wondering if there is a fix-it kit much like with the Move. Before I try to take it apart I figured I should talk to the experts…cheers, dan
Hi,I have a new roam speaker. But i think there is a problem with it.Every time the USB-C mains power is connected, First the bottom LED flashes red, then the top LED flashes white slowly, after a few minutes this LED lights up continuously. Then the device is visible in the system for connection, but you can't get any further than connecting and an update is needed, but every time an error message is displayed. Error 1008.That's problem 1Problem 2 is the doubt about the operation of the on/off button on the back. The device has been connected to the mains for more than 24 hours, so the battery should be charged. But without a connection via USB-C to the mains voltage, I can't get anything out of the device. Normally you could switch your device on and off via this button, but nothing happens. Even if I don't hold anything for a long time, ....So I'm at a loss.
I was told by support just yesterday the new Sonos Move 2 cannot “remember” 2 different Sonos systems/networks. I find that hard to believe on a product called “Move”. Can you confirm? Scenario:Unboxed my new Move 2 and added it to the system in my main residence no problem. Packed it up for a trip to the beach house WITHOUT the charging base. Mistake? Shouldn’t be, but when I get to the 2nd house there is no obvious way to add the new Move 2 that was added to my other system. I have numerous products in both locations - does no one else take the portables around this way? So now, based on what support indicated, I’ll have to literally factory reset every time I transport this “portable” speaker from A to B. AND - I’ll have to take the charging base to factory reset. Really? Could really use a better way or another option if it exists. Thanks all.
Is it possible to use the Sonos app to trigger a Sonos Move to enter BLE pairing mode instead of pushing the physical pairing button on the back?
Hi all, one question please…At the moment I have 1 ERA 300 and Beam 2. Given that I don't have the possibility of using 2 ERA 300s as surround because I don't have power sockets behind the sofa, so I was thinking of buying 2 MOVE2s.Can they be used as surround sound?thanks a lot.Michele
Hi guys, Just wondering if the Sonos Roam can work both on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wifi network?, I tried it on the 2.4 GHz and it’s working, then I transitioned to the 5 GHz and it’s not working. Any better alternatives or can it also work if you set up a Mobile hotspot on your device? I can also use a Wifi device, (Samsung) Galaxy 5G Mobile Wi-Fi SCR01 specifically if outdoors, would that work?
Ciao quando apro applicazione sonos sul move 2, il mio smartphone si scollega dal WiFi in attesa che migliora il segnale.... Premetto non ho alcun tipo di interferenza...
Wondering if any suggestions for this new to me problem. Sonos Move is fully charged, white light, and connected to wifi. However when I press the bluetooth connection button the light flashes red for a number of seconds and then returns to white light. I do not seem to be able to connect to bluetooth. I have updated the Sonos software and rebooted it. Any other suggestions for resolution?
Recently purchased Sonos One SL speaker. I keep losing Spotify. In fact despite constant unplugging, rebooting, factory reset, it’s probably getting worse. Last time didn’t finish 1 song, which brought me here. Sirius XM works fine. I just got a new modem provided by my ISP. Has wifi 6 capability. problem existed before the change. I have full wifi bars. Signal is definitely not an issue. Unless I get this resolved, I will be returning it. I own Bose, Monster, Sony, No Bounds, Google mini, no problem with any of these units. Not to mention numerous types of ear pods, also no issues. And based on the number of similar complaints everywhere I look online, I’m not the only person with a similar problem. Extremely frustrating!
I purchased my Roam speaker in March of 2022. Now, Nov 1 of 2023 it is “dead” ish. I had it on base charger with SONOS plug when not traveling. I just took trip and ended up not using the speaker so it sat in my special little padded travel bag for about a week. Now I get home and it doesnt work unless hard wired into socket…not base charging. It holds absolutely NO charge /power. Basically USELESS as a portable speaker. I now spoke to customer support and they ran Dx and told be it was “defective”. I am not happy. This speaker is in excellent condition. I did NOT “break” it and SONOS clearly new of this issue YEARS ago. Why didnt you recall them? Why didnt they alert us etc. There should be a class action lawsuit because SONOS new about this….. before I bought mine! I noted someone saying there was a software update to 13.3 that help but clearly not. This was not a “cheap’ line speaker bought at discount. I want a new speaker oh, one thats “not defective”. SONOS n
I have a Roam SL that is experiencing a strange issue. The speaker will start at a low volume and increase to whatever the setting is on the app(s). It will then decrease moments later. It almost feels like it is going quiet to “listen” but it’s an SL without a microphone. I notice in the Sonos app that the volume slider is not decreasing however the output from the speaker is. For example the volume is set for the middle at 55% and seems quiet, but then it gets louder. This is a new device for me and originally only had it connected to the Sonos network and did not have it automatically connected to Bluetooth. When I experienced this issue I took it off the Sonos network and connected it to Bluetooth. I have:Timed the occurrences of the volume reductions and not noticed that they occurred consistently. Changed the position of the device (standing on end, laying on its side etc) and not noticed anything. “Forgot” the device and re-installed to the system
Ho collegato il mio move 2 alla tv tramite adattatore line in originale sonos e funziona bene, ma se avessi due move accoppiatitra di loro si sentirebbero entrambi anche se solo uno è collegato tramite line in alla tv?????
I purchased my Roam on 06/12/2021 and experienced battery issues from the start. Due to the unreliability I just kept it permanently wired (USB C - 10W generic USB adaptor) and used it as a portable speaker a handful of times. I eventually purchased a official Sonos wireless charger ($79 AUD) and it has pretty much sat on it ever since. Other then the battery issues, up until now I haven’t had any issues with the device. I use it to mainly control my google home devices and occasional music when doing housework. Yesterday I went to use it and it was dead, it had been sitting on the wireless charger for weeks so it seems really odd. I removed it from the wireless charger and put it back on and noticed a very faint orange light flashing. I searched online for advice and tried the various reboot methods and has no success. I plugged it into the USB C wired charger and a solid orange light appeared. I left to charge over night and the solid orange light is still there. I tried rebooting ag
My Sonos Roam Charging port has started melting and now won’t charge. It’s less than a year old. It could have caused a fire in my home. See image attached. Please could someone contact me to arrange for a replacement Sonos roam?

My Move 2 appears to be a very sticky client when it comes to roaming between the accesspoints throughout my house. I have also have two Roams that do not have any roaming issues and hop from one to another AP without issues. I guess some driver-tweaking is still required to improve that.Another issue I encounter is that the Move 2 refuses to connect to one of my accesspoints that runs on 5GHz wifi channel 153. It simply does not connect to it, even when it is placed next to the AP. Are there any region restrictions in play? I am in Europe but run my wifi system with US location setting. None of my other wifi-clients (Androids, iPhones, etc.) exhibit the same problem.
possiedo un move 2 e quando lo collego al pc tramite blouthut per vedere i film salta audio Moderator edit:Google Translate-I have a move 2 and when I connect it to the PC via Bluetooth to watch movies the audio skips
Hello,I have tried contacting support, but didn't really get anywhere with this issue. I have a Roam SL that goes to the dreaded "Not connected" state every few days. It requires reboot of the SL for it to reconnect. Rebooting router and satellite router and resetting the SL did not help. I have numerous other Sonos devices on both SonosNet and battery -powered that do not experience this issue. I experimented by putting a Sonos Roam (non-SL) near to the problematic SL about 10 feet away from my Orbi satellite and consistently the SL will disconnect in this fashion every few days. The regular Roam has no issues. I have tried setting the SL with a static IP reservation, but it didn't seem to help. Just curious if anyone has any other ideas. I can understand having intermittent issues on busy wifi networks, but I'm confused why this unit just drops off into lalaland when no other battery-powered units do the same thing in my system. Is the SL just much more flaky than the Move or regular
My Sonos Roam for the last few months won't show up as an option to cast on Spotify anymore. It used to work pretty well. It's already up to date and I have reset it as well as unlinked it from Sonos and Google Home but still doesn't work. The Wi-Fi ability works in the Sonos App when playing their radio but doesn't cast outside of the app. I can even pause/unpause with Google Home when it's playing music from Sonos app so it's definitely connected but the only thing it can't do is cast to any app (I've tried YT Music too).
My Sonos move is only three years old, and it stopped taking a charge
When I start the mobil app - the Roam shows up and installs as expected. I have powered off and repowered and it does not show up in system. I have tried multiple factory resets. I have rebooted my Starlink router and my Unifi Ubiquity Mesh points. and i’ve rebooted my phone. none of it works.
Basis the article below I understand that while using the mentioned devices I can stream via BT and group other speakers via WiFi. We have a 12 zone system in our home and have for years. We are very happy with the system and understand it’s functionality. We’d like to add a small system to our camper, three speakers. 100% of the time we have a WiFi available in our camper. Based on where we are about 75% of the time the WiFi network is connected to the internet and 25% of the time it’s not. I understand that during the 75% of the time we have WiFi and Internet the system will work just as it does at home. What I would like to understand is during the 25% of the time we have WiFi but no internet would we still be able to stream via BT to one of the devices mentioned on the linked article and group with the other two speakers? https://support.sonos.com/en/article/share-roam-s-bluetooth-audio-with-your-sonos-system?fbclid=IwAR1S0DSrv71AwlbBnPqwo1nDvbutG2guLxPVQac62KyT7nnrkE
