Dear All,I have a Sony TV with ARC playbar and 2 ERA 300 linked in surround. Dolby Atmos of DVD works well in the surround. However, I would like to send the ARC sound from a regular TV to the surround speakers. Something else I am unable to let work.I was also unable to find any usable information on that matter...Could somebody help?Best regardsYves

Just recently my Arc when not in use suddenly emits random noises, sort of like popping sounds. It does this quite loudly for around 10 seconds then stops. Thsi is noise happens randomly. Some times 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes once a day and sometimes with a couple of days gap. The first time this happened on first use after the noise the volume on switch on was extremely loud. Since then the volume is always much louder than at switch off when used after the sounds. Any idea what is happening. 

Hi, I have an Arc and sub for a 3.1.2 system. I have some speakers in the ceiling connected to a Gen 2 Amp for background music. I was thinking of connecting the amp as surround to the Arc, but: I am seeing conflicting information about Ethernet vs Wi-Fi. The Amp is connected by Ethernet to the router, the Arc uses Wi-Fi. Is this incompatible? Is do both need to be wired or both Wi-Fi?  And I saw a suggestion that if I set up the Amp for surround use I won't be able to stream music anymore to it. Is that true? IE once a speaker is bonded as surround, it cannot be separately selected to play music? Thanks for your insight in advance.

Good evening everybody I just recently updated my cable box remote control through Optimum. I have tried to install the Sonos beam and they will not recognize the volume buttons. I have tried to restart the system, but no avail as of right now I cannot use the new remote control with the Sonos beam. Any ideas? As reference the new remote control is the black one and not the old silver one

I have a Pionner Plasma Pro-FHD1 which is a 1080p monitor, no tuner, 2 HDMI inputs and obviously no apps as this is a 2006 monitor.  There are no audio outputs except for speakers which can be attached to the monitor.  I would like to use a fire tv stick or apple tv directly into the Arc, then the Arc output to the monitor for video.  Does anyone know if this is possible?Thanks in advance,Joedok

Hi Guys! I have LG C2 and Sonos configuration:Arc Sub 2 x Era 300Everything it’s working properly, but I want to be sure, that TV output audio is 7.1.4. How can I check that? Arc is connected via eARC hdmi and i’m using iOS.

So I run the Dolby Atmos or the 5.1 test from Apple music on Sony TV on with ATV. The Arc sound bar says Right, Center, then Left surround, Right surround but it never says L on the Arc sound bar. Do I have a problem?

Did anyone had totally dismal experience while trying to return the Sonos Product. I bought Arc and Sub. Immediately after getting them, I have been trying to return them but in vain. No response on chat, email. Phone wait is pathetic. One day it said 115 min. Today it said 25 mins, but am holding line from 40 mins. Is someone at Sonos listening? Why are you claiming 45 days return policy if none exists? If someone has been successful in returning or working it out with Sonos, please provide guidance. Emails and chat have not helped so far. Online I am not able to generate RMA - it says product not eligible for return policy. I don’t understand why it says that, as its bought just a week back.any help or guidance is appreciated.   

Will the Beam Gen 2 allow my Sonos speakers to work with my tv

Arc sound always starts from Zero when I turn on LG TV

This 6 year old topic, has not been answered yet. Could a GROUP VOLUME CONTROL ON/OFF option be the solution? Linke below:  For those super smart commenters who are going to comment “why don’t I use Surrounding and that I do not understand sound systems correctly!” or something similar :) please read the topic below first: The two topic above may be dependant! 

Trade ins for these products are currently poor, so while waiting to find a better solution, can someone advise how to get these products working again? bridge has been disconnected now as otherwise, nothing works.  playbar works on its own.  Surrounds won’t when I finally managed to update them and connect them up. That’s broken.  Attempting to add the sub still results in an app crash.  is the only quick solution for the above the previous s2 app? I’m on iOS but purchasing an android to get this functionality back hopefully or roll it all back and disable updates. 

Hii have sonos arc and sonos sub gen 3. I also have sono play five. The sonos sub is connected with the ARC but is not playing sound but it works fine when connected to Sonos Play 5.tried every method. kindly helpthanks

Hi all,I’m not sure if my issue is with the app or with how my system is set up. I have a Sonos Arc, Sub Woofer and 2 amps connected to ceiling speakers Sono’s customer service helped me set up my Arc and helped me get the TV’s sound to come through the Arc and 2 ampsHere’s my issue:After Sono’s customer service helped me, each time I turned on the TV I would get sound from my Arc and my ceiling speakers in the family room I added Spotify to my Arc and the other day I used voice command to play Spotify through my Arc and speakers After I stopped playing Spotify through my Arc, I turned on the TV No sound came out of the Arc or speakers After going through the app, I was able to get the sound going again But now when I turn on the TV, the sound only comes through the Arc and not my ceiling speakers. I have to go into the app and connect them, when before I played Spotify through the Arc, the TV came through the Arc and ceiling speakersI’m not sure if it’s an app glitch but any insight w

Struggling with the new app since it was first available .   As a SONOS user for many years with several SONOS products ,  this app does not reflect in any way the great system I’ve enjoyed for so many years .  The app is awful .   The room controls and volume settings simply don’t work .  I am unable to get sound from the TV to my surround sound ( playbar plus sub plus two play 1’s) .  The apply button on the volumes is a bewildering feature does anybody know what it actually does  ?  On my system it stops the sound completely :-(  SONOS favorites list gone .  I’ve given up trying and now just use the TV speakers .  And yes,  I’ve unplugged everything a million times and reset a million times etc .   Please ,  please give me back the old app .  

Hi all, Hoping to get some help with this, as I’ve been banging my head against the wall with no luck.  Incredibly frustrated with how borked this process still seems to be years after the fact.  I’ve been running a surround sound system in my home for the past 5 years, mostly without issues, which consisted of a Sonos Beam, with two Sonos One SL speakers acting as the surround speakers.  After the most recent Sonos app update, all three speakers disconnected from the Sonos network, which prompted this mess.  Effectively, after opening the new app, all my devices were missing, and the Sonos app claimed it could not find my system on the network anymore.  (Network SSID and settings have remained unchanged.  I have a router which does a dual-band network - 2.4 and 5.0 gHz - under the same name, which worked previously with our Sonos system prior to the app update).  I’ve been able to re-add my Beam and *one* of my Sonos One SL speakers, using an Ethernet cable to connect to my router dir

I have 2 sonos play 1 speakers that are connected as stereo. I want to buy a Sonos Ray just so I can listen to music from the TV on all the speakers (surround is not important to me..). Is it possible?

I have all parts of system on same wifi - when listiening to TV Roam 2 sound kinda crackles drops every 2 secs or so

I am trying to connect a Sonos Arc wirelessly to a network with an Asus XD5 Router with mesh hotspots. I tried turning off Airtime fairness on both 2.4 & 5.0 GHz bands. I tried creating separate networks for both bands. I even tried to disable 802.11ax. I ran through all other troubleshoots on the community board. None of these options ended up working. I connected a Sonos Amp with Architectural Speakers seamlessly, although the Amp had a hardwired ethernet connection. Is the only option to connect to this network via a hardwired ethernet connection?

Random chirps like a connection issue but music and tv still plays fine. Does it more while listening to Amazon music

Any recommendation for Dolby Atmos extractor to Sony XBR 900F series and Sonos ARC?

    After an update yesterday, I get no TV sound from either of two Sonos Playbases in my house. The Playbases can still play streaming radio stations as well as content from my networked media library. It is only TV sound that does not work. I tried resetting and reinstalling one of the Playbases, but it did not correct the situation.    I’m pretty sure the problem is from the update because both Playbases were affected at the same time.    Does anyone have a similar problem or know a way to restore the TV sound to the Playbases?

After resetting the Arc (like i did with the Five after my app could not find a system...) the Arc does not play the chime/sound needed in order to complete the setup.The app does see the Arc… i just cannot finish the connection.The Arc is factory resetted and the green light is flashing, ready to go...
