Sonos Arc not connecting to my TV

My Sonos system, used mainly for good TV sound  has been working for years until the latest software update. I have followed the discussions and the suggested fix, selecting the TV source from the Sonos app. However it’s not working for me. The TV keeps reverting to its own speakers as it says there is a problem with the “Audio System” I have tried every possible solution but I am still frustrated. Any advice would be appreciated.

Having tried every possible solution makes it very hard for forum members to then suggest anything. It would be better to know what you’ve tried or it’s just like playing Battleships. 

 

That said, have you tried turning everything off at the wall, then taking out the HDMI cable and swapping the ends over, then turning it all back on again?

Are you definitely in the HDMI-eARC port of the TV?

Are you using a high-speed HDMI 2.0 (or 2.1) cable? 

Is HDMI-CEC on the TV settings (or the TV’s equivalent HDMI control setting) definitely on?

 

As I say, I’m just throwing things at you without knowing what you’ve already thrown at it.
