I'm new to sonos and love the system. I have an arc ultra and two 300s for surround. My issue is that there isn't an option in the app to go from surround to stereo sound easily. I've seen responses to this issue before with people saying to switch to full sound in the app. I agree this helps but the audio still only comes from the top speakers in the 300s. The front drivers don't produce any sound which seems like a waste of the speakers potential. I've gone through the process of unlinking the surrounds and setting them up as a stereo pair and there's a huge difference in sound when all the speakers in the 300s are producing sound. Every speaker system i have ever owned had an option to switch between surround and stereo mode. I'm wondering is this will be considered in an app update or if I'll have to unpair them from surround every time I want to hear music from the front drivers in the 300s. Thank you

Hi, I recently purchased a sub mini to connect to my beam gen 1.  The bass on my beam was very distorted, sound like a blown speaker when any bass was present.  I bought the sub mini to take on the bass the beam couldn’t handle anymore.  I currently have the bass on the EQ at -10 so that I don’t hear bass coming from the beam.  The only way I can hear any bass from the sub is when I turn the bass on the sub up to +15.  My question is, is it worth keeping this set up having to keep the bass on the beam off and the bass on the sub all the way up.  I feel like the two should be working together to produce clean bass for movies and music.  Contemplating returning the sub mini and going a different direction all together.

Hi,I use my Sonos arc ultra with Amazon stick 4k and Panasonic Tv.IVe seen multiple Atmos content as Monarch legacy of Monsters. When the épisode is running, the Sonos app display the Dolby Atmos tag.  But today Ive lunched an episode and the app display Dolby Digital 5.1 tag. I’ve tried with previous episodes, and it still displays Digital 5.1. Any explanations ?cheers 

I have a Sonos AMP, bought new in october 2025. Last couple of months I have noticed the sound is quite harsh and fatiguing, especially for TV sound through HDMI ARC. Both Stereo PCM and Dolby Digital coding give the same problem.For example, some voices tend to be too sharp and slightly sibilant. Other sharp sounds also feel too harsh.Here is what I have tried without success:Adjusting treble slider to -10 Experimenting with Loudness on/off Turning on and off Night mode and Speech Enhancement Factory reset Tried 2 different speaker pairs (Dali Oberon 1 and Dali Kupid) Changed to higher quality speaker cablesIs anyone else experiencing this? I found some threads about similar issues but they were pretty old. Could this be a hardware issue on my device? Or could this problem have reappeared with a recent firmware update?

Greetings all, I have arc, sub3 and 2 One SL in my home entertainment set up. Will adding 2 Era 300 enhance my home entertainment experience?

I have an Arc Ultra, Sub and ETA 300 set up. Until recently I was getting ATMOS with supported content via my 2017 Apple TV 4K, however I have noticed under TVOS 26.3 that titles that formerly played ATMOS content are now only Dolby Digital 5.1. My PS5 and Xbox still play content in ATMOS including movies over my Sonos setup.I updated the Sonos system in the app and also installed the new TVOS beta, but neither has helped. Also the usual reboots. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia 8 and have my Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub 3 and 2 Era 300sWhen I watch a movie doesn’t matter the audio format Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus etc, I get intermittent audio dropouts/glitches throughout the movie randomly and happens for a second around every 15-30 mins during the movie. Very annoying I have contacted Sonos support and after being through 6 people the 7th person finally knew what I was talking about and they said they are aware of the issue but have no information at this time. hopefully this gets sorted and they fix this issue in the next update.

Hi everyone,I’m writing because I feel my Sonos Arc Ultra isn’t performing as it should. I’ve noticed a few specific issues: EQ adjustments: Sometimes, I don't notice any change when I increase or decrease the Treble or Bass (especially the Bass) through the app. I don't have an external subwoofer; I'm only using the one built into the soundbar itself. Subwoofer testing: To verify that everything is working correctly, I’ve been using the test samples found on this thread: [Link]. When I run the test, the subwoofer channel doesn't produce any sound. However, if I play YouTube videos to test low frequencies, it responds well down to 30Hz (which is quite good). Could someone else without a standalone Sonos Sub run the same test and let me know if the subwoofer channel triggers any sound for them? Hi, I’m having issues with Dolby audio being muffled. I’m using my Macbook’s HDMI port to connect to Valerion projector HDMI input 1, and then using HDMI eARC on Valerion to connect to Sonos Arc Ultra. I’m using VLC as a media player. I have a TrueHD Atmos 7.1 movie which plays audio as it should. But when I play any DDP 5.1 movie - the audio is muffled. No matter what I do, I can’t get audio to sound right even on Mono or Stereo setting, it’s always muffled. When I switch the audio output to AirPlay to Sonos, I loose the Dolby part but at least it sounds right. I tested it on more than one DDP 5.1 movies, all suffer from this.If I skip the Macbook and just use Valerion with a streaming service such as Netflix or HBO Max and connect it to Sonos with eARC, it plays Dolby Atmos as expected.

HiSonos arc ultra and sub gen 3, thought I would try a trueplay retune, in particular the advanced method on my iPhone 17pro.Runs the tuning all be it seems to skip the listening position step, after the retune doesn’t save, I have no trueplay tab to turn on/off.Tried quick tune same thing. system/app fully up to date.Any help please.🙏 

Ubiquity UDM Pro, 8 access points, 3 switches. It is configured well and per Sonos’s recommendations.Network has been reliable and the other 100+ devices work perfectly. Sonos speakers are working, but they no longer show up in the app and I am unable to “find” them in the app. Sonos support goes through their script, then says call support - they want to dive into my network, but this was set up and working for months on the exact same conffiguraition so I don’t suspect the network. Support has not yet had any insight why the setup is gone in the app. There is not way to save the configuration and I did a lot of setup on the sound bar.Frustrated. Anyone have a solution? Same issue? I have power cycled the Sonos speakers, what else can I try? TIA GEON

I have arc ultra, era 300 as surrounds and brand new sub 4 (which replaced sub mini) . I had mixed feelings regarding sub 4, comparing to sub mini, so I tried frequency sweep with surrounds off. I found that sub 4 works perfectly at 30hz but then there is hole between 33- 45hz, there is almost no rumble (in fact sub drivers stop) Checked in some places in room (sub crawl etc), with on and off trueplay, with loudness off and on - there is always poor response between 33-45 hz. Sub rumbling at 30hz, the rumbling is gone and then at circa 45 returns….To be clear: made multiple tests (after full factory reset, fresh advanced truplay calibration and after last update), and tested sub with stereo par of symfonisk bookshelf gen 2. Always there is  hole around 35 - 45 with total lack of drivers response at part of frequency range (in music when cutoff frequency matters and in only LFE (dolby 5.1) sub frequency tests.I understand that room geometry matters, and maybe truplay mu

For some reason my play bar began emoting a repeating tone. The play bar wasn’t being used at the time. None of the Sonos devices were in use.

For my home theater, should I go with the ultimate immersive set with Arc Ultra or with AVR? I don’t know if my rooms 7 ft drop ceiling with a 24-inch wide AC trunk running through it(covered with drop ceiling) will allow for the speakers to perform their best.

Hello everyone,I'm having trouble setting up my remote control with my new Sonos Ray.My TV model is TCL NXTFrame 55A300W- I disabled Bluetooth on the remote control, so it now only works in IR mode.- I connected the Sonos Ray to the TV using an optical cable.- I configured the sound output to optical only.- The remote control learning function does not work on the Sonos app.- I tried hiding the receiver on the TV, but that didn't help.- I tried moving the remote closer or further away.- I tried quickly pressing the + button, but that didn't change anything.Has anyone else had success with this type of TV/remote?Thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve been thinking about a somewhat unconventional Sonos setup and wanted to see what the community thinks.Imagine placing four Sonos Sub Mini units, one in each corner of the room, to distribute bass more evenly across the listening space. The idea isn’t about making the system louder — it’s about achieving balanced bass response across the room, reducing dead spots, and smoothing out room modes.In theory, multiple distributed subs can improve low-frequency consistency because bass waves interact heavily with room geometry. Spreading smaller subs around the room can sometimes produce more uniform bass compared to a single large subwoofer.However, from what I understand, Sonos currently limits the configuration: Only one Sub Mini can be bonded to a single Sonos room/zone. Just moved into brand new apartment. Started by having my 65 inch TV hung. I've purchased the sonos arc ultra, then added 2- 300's for surround sound, and finally a mini sub.At times - from the start it was perfect, and I could get it to work perfectly. But mainly through my phone, not the TV remote.Spoke with sonos support was told the internet was an issue. However I have excellent reception of internet and speed. It's worked many, many, times and failed just a few. However, now after the phone call and the testing, I can't get anything but the ultra. Excuse me, arc ultra to connect to the T. V please, can anybody help with any suggestions ideas? I'm wide open as I'm a new user. And I know I have a lot to learn. Thank you so much.

Hi all — looking for guidance from anyone running Sonos with multiple WiFi access points (non-mesh).Here’s my setup:Verizon Fios router (main router) in basement Additional ethernet wired WiFi access points throughout the house (not mesh, just APs) - first and second floor of home Sonos Arc + Sub + (2) play 1s in basement.  Different generations I believe, not exactly sure which.
