Hi,

so I finally solved my Sonos troubles with sound via FuryHD Vrooom. Well spent 600 bucks.

Now the whole family would like use the setup.

Source is Apple TV or Panasonic UB9000.
Projector is JVC NZ7.

So no ARC or eARC.

Parents do not have smart phone. They are literally sending me SMS to change the volume if I am out of cinema room.

How to control Sonos volume without smartphone with HD Furt instead of eARC?

Your Arc Ultra can be configured to respond to any IR remote to adjust volume. You just go to the Arc settings and turn on IR and select “Remote Control Setup”.

Get them a cheap Android tablet?

Even an older/used one as long as it will load the app fro  the Play Store.

There are so e hardware controllers, hopefully so none familiar with them will post something.

You could take a look at the IKEA Dirigera remote (you'd need a Dirigera hub too). Not completely sure a new one will work since Sonos and IKEA parted ways, but my old one works.
