Chromecast Remote Controller skipping volume levels

Hi, all,My main remote controller (the Google one from Chromecast with Google TV) is suddenly skipping volume levels.My setup:Hisense TV + Beam Gen 2 + IKEA Symfonisk as rear speakers. Beam connected via HDMI ARC and with CEC enabled everywhere.Since December I have an issue, where my Chromecast remote controller is skipping volume levels. It’s almost always my main ones that it skips (around level 12). It usually goes by 2 levels per button press (that’s normal), but sometimes it skips by 4-8 for no reason. Why is it so? Other means of volume settings work fine (hardware buttons on Symfonisks or Beam, app control, even the TV controller is fine). I tried disabling the remote controller in Chromecast, but it didn’t worked. Can’t add it via app, since it is not IR controller - works automatically via CEC. What else should I consider? Thanks in advance.

Sonos Ray questions

Help needed with my Sonos Ray, and apologies for the long post….Here’s what I have in terms of Tv/connected devices: the main bugbear is to be able to control the Ray’s volume with a TV remote, which seems impossible at the moment.I have a JVC Smart TV, model LT43CA790c. Connected to the HDMI 2(ARC) is a Tv Firestick, connected to HDMI 1 is a Virgin (Tivo) box, and the ray is connected via the supplied Optical cable.In terms of set up, I have the TV’s audio output set to external audio , with the TV speakers off. The supplied JVC TV remote seems not to be an Infrared type as it won’t pair with the Ray, nor control the sound. Can someone recommend a universal remote that will work? Questions:1.do I have the devices connected to the best inputs? Ignoring the Ray for a moment, there is a distinct drop in volume when using the Virgin box when compared to the Firestick (which is connected to the HDMI(ARC) input.2 When I use the Ray, I’m finding I need to have the volume up near the 50/60 ma

Wireless Headphones not working with Sonos Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc.

i have recently purchased a Sonos Arc, Sub and Era 300 speakers for my livng room TV, which is a Sony XR6509J. i am now unable to listen through my wireless headphones. The headphones connect to the Optical Output from the TV. When I change the Audio Output to TV Speakers, to enable me to listen thriugh my headphones, the TV automatically defaults  back to Audio System, rendering my headphones useless. Prior to Sonos, I had an AV Receiver and speaker system.  I could simply mute the sound from the tv and listen through the headphones when I turned them on. Can anyone assist?

Sonos One connected to system but not broadcasting sound

.: Greetings. I’ve had a Sonos Arc SL and two Sonos One SL speakers for 1-2 years now. When I watch cable or streaming services, I always heard full surround sound. Then a couple of days ago, the One speakers stopped broadcasting any sound at all. I searched for solutions on the Interwebs and nothing I found solved the problem. Then I tried the Factory Reset, and used TruePlay to configure the surround sound in my living room. Everything sounded good with Trueplay having reconfigured the One SL speakers.Then I tried various shows on Netflix, Prime, Apple TV+, etc., and no sound came out of the One SL speakers.One other note: Up until a couple days ago, when I muted the sound on my flat-screen tv, the lights on the top of the One SL speakers would turn green. Now when I do it, they remain white.I am at a loss. I have no idea what else to try and no idea what to do now. If anyone has an idea that might solve this, please let me know. sonos no sound on sony tv

My power was out for less than a minute last night. When sony tv turned itself back on, there was no longer any sound. I cannot easily access the back of the tv or the sonos bar bc they are hung. Is there an easy way for me to fix this problem?

Sonos Arc/Era 300 upward firing speakers not working

I have Arc/ sub and 2 Era 300s as surrounds, I was trying dolby 7.1.4 speakers test file on xbox series x and nvidia shield all the speakers working except the front and rear upward firing speakers on Arc and Era 300s. I removed Era 300s as surrounds and paired them again with Arc that solves the issue. But again today I tried the same file and same issue no upward firing speaker working, tried the unpairing and pairing again makes them work. Does anyone else having this issue?

era 300 central speaker off when connected to beam

I just took beam 2 plus sub mini with 2 was 300. The 300’s of surround sound did not have the central speaker active and therefore any dialogue is not played by them. Really disappointing result. You have suggestions? Thank you t

I know this has been asked a lot of times before but I can't seem to find a fix.All seem to be disconnecting at random intervals and it's becoming quite frustrating.Any fix that will actually work?

Beam (Gen 2) and Xbox One S Blu-ray player - Atmos occasionally skips/stutters

Hi all,I recently bought a Beam (Gen 2) and think it sounds great.However, I was watching a Blu-ray on an Xbox One S (the previous gen Xbox) and the Atmos sound is skipping or stuttering occasionally (and I can tell as the “Dolby Atmos via sound bar” label will pop up on the top right of the screen).I tested this with Disney+ and had no issues with the Atmos sound when watching content this way. So I am assuming this is something to do with old Xbox tech, but any thoughts are appreciated.I have this LG TV. My TV and Xbox are up-to-date. I have already unplugged everything.Thanks.

apple tv remote won’t work with sonos ray

Hey all, I have an LG TV connected with an Apple TV 4K and a Sonos Ray. I was able to set up my LG Smart Remote to control the sound bar in the Sonos App with no problems.  However, the Apple TV remote still does not control the Sonos Ray audio. I have tried resetting the Apple TV remote by holding down the home and volume down button, and while it did reset the remote it did not fix the issue. I tried adding the remote via the Sonos app but it didn’t detect it. My Apple TV is connected via the HDMI CEC on the TV. All systems are fully updated. Any ideas in what I can do to make it work?

Sonos arc volume adjusts itself

Hi,I have a Sonos Arc connected to an LG G3 via HDMI ARC port.The volume seems to randomly go way down (very low, not muted) and then reset itself to the actual value set. These drops last for around 2/3 seconds and occur quite frequently.I've checked all options and see nothing the would suggest auto volume being on. I've already submitted diagnostics via this ID 1166703145Best regards,Romeu

Arc and Era100 pairing

Hi everyone! I have Sonos Arc and Sub in our family room and Sonos One Gen 2 in two bedrooms respectively. I recently bought two Sonos Era100 for our family room to set them as surround sound speakers. When I go to Arc to  set up surrounds, it only gives me an option to add Sonos One that are set up in both bedrooms. It doesn't give me an option to add Era100. I have tried to factory reset both the Arc and Era 100 and still the same result. What else can I do?

Arc + Play:1’s x2 + Roam Group Issue

I have the Arc and x2 rear Play:1’s working absolutely fine together when watching TV and listening to music. When I group the Roam and the Arc/Play:1’s together they work fine for music but for TV there is a big delay on the Roam but the Arc/Play:1’s are absolutely fine.  Why does the Roam have this delay?How can I fix it?

Surround sound keeps dropping today (era300s and sub)

The app keeps prompting me that the 2 Era300s and Sub are disconnected from the surrounds for the Arc. However they are showing white light (connected) and I can still adjust volume from the era300s, but no sound comes from them.  This has never happened before. I tried resetting the speakers, and resetting the wifi. But they still drop the minute it’s set up.  is there some software issue? I didn’t change anything to the wifi today and none of other connected devices had issues.  Thanks.

Why won't Sonos allow use of their wireless speakers as rear speakers in a surround set up?

As it says in the title - does anyone know why they won’t allow this? It seems to me to be the dream set up, so I can’t begin to understand why Sonos haven’t jumped all over this! My current surround set-up is a JBL 9.1 with fully wire free (ie they are rechargeable and operate via wifi)  rear speakers, and it’s a brilliant system

era 300 front driver clarification

I have an arc and 2 300s on order. Am I correct that if I add the 300s as surrounds, there is no way to enable the front drivers when I want to play non spatial music like Spotify? I just can't believe that would be the case, so hopefully I'm mistaken. I totally understand disabling them for atmos and spatial , but it's like you are locking them into that and then can't use them properly for regular music?Thanks for any advice or workarounds !

Beam Gen 2 loses eArc connection to Samsung S95

The TV has switched on with the Apple Remote, the input defaults to HDMI 1 and audio plays out the soundbar be default.Issue2 weeks ago, this all stopped. Whenever I turn the TV on with the Apple TV remote and use the AppleTV apps the Samsung Tv no longer sees the Sonos Beam and defaults to TV Speaker.WorkaroundThe only way to fix it is by switching off the Beams power disconnecting the HDMI and reconnecting, the TV then sees the Beam again, reinitialises the connection and continues to play audio from the Beam.As soon as I switch the tv off again… later that day, turn it back on and I have to repeat the same process. CEC isn’t being disabled and no config is changing in the TV settings, it
