My beam gen 2 is less than a year old and apart from initial connection issues at the start it has been working fine since. However I unplugged the beam to change the TV wall mount and since then it's not working at all.

There are times it just starts working itself if left connected but then cuts out randomly or the remote stops working.

I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting a number of times. Turning settings off and on again. Running the set up through the Sono app. None has worked.

Running the set up on the app now says it can't locate the arc connection.

It's 100% in the right hdmi port.

I'm at loss of what to do next other than get rid of the bloody thing and buy a different one.

My TV is LG C2, I'm using the hdmi cable provided with the beam.

Any help will be massively appreciated please.

@Jaa32

It sounds like you're having a frustrating experience with your Sonos Beam Gen 2. Have you checked if the HDMI-ARC is enabled on your LG C2 TV? Sometimes, unplugging devices can reset this setting. Also, consider trying a different HDMI cable to rule out any issues.

Power cycling both the Sonos Beam and your TV by unplugging them for a few minutes can help reset any temporary glitches. If those don’t work, a factory reset on the Beam might be necessary, but keep in mind that this will erase your settings, and you'll need to set it up again.

Lastly, make sure both your Sonos Beam and LG TV are updated to the latest firmware, as updates can often fix compatibility issues. Have you noticed if the problem occurs only when using the TV, or does it happen with other devices as well?

I’m not a big fan of Factory Reset because it causes a lot of extra work and usually does not resolve fundamental issues. Seek further consult before Factory Reset.

i suggest that you remove all HDMI cables from the TV and remove power from the TV and BEAM for at least two minutes. After the units reboot, connect the HDMI cable between BEAM and TV. The TV and BEAM will negotiate their communication options. After this is done, connect other HDMI inputs (if any) to the TV.

Thanks everyone for your comments and help!

I unplugged it completely for a full day and then the TV for about an hour for good measure this morning.

Just finished work and plugged in and so far so good. Fingers crossed it's still working well by the end of the day.

Thanks again everyone. 😁
