If I had known a brand new Arc would have been released I wouldn’t have bought the older version 2 days ago…Chesp marking scam!

You’re likely still in the return window, depending on where you bought it.

I can understand some disappointment, but there will always be new products released. That said, a single web search would’ve told you that a new Arc soundbar was postponed due to the app issues if the possibility was that concerning for you.

On top of which, if you bought 2 days ago, they had a sale on at that time. Buying the new one will be $100 more than the list price of the older Arc. You might be looking at a lot more money for a similar experience. Keep that in mind too if you do return it.

I would have paid the $100 more for the new product…also the retailer should have told me too…cheesy marketing…specially after suffering thru a bad app for months with a useless system

also the retailer should have told me too…

Nope. Caveat emptor. It’s up to the buyer to do the research, the retailer is just selling their wares. No retailer is going to turn down a sale.

Exactly…scam

Exactly…scam

If you were selling a Sonos speaker on eBay, for example, you wouldn’t decline the final bid and tell the buyer “actually, the speaker I’m selling is about to be replaced by an updated model so I suggest you go elsewhere and buy that instead”. You’d take the money, declaring it was up to the buyer to have done their research.

Your case is no different.

Yes it is…bought lots of different products in the past from reputable retailers giving me info on up coming products…quit making excuses for them ..btw this isn’t an eBay purchase so doesn’t compare

The retail sales floor person may not know that a new model is pending.

If a company announces a new model too soon, sales will stop and the company could run out of cash before the new model is ready.

Okay know it all

Only 2 days ago?  I don’t know a retailer in the world who won’t take a return back after 2 days.  It’s 30 days minimum in the states, and that is considered a low return period compared to the rest of the world.  I’m pretty sure Sonos gives you 45 days.  So either the OP is lying about when they bought the item, or they are full of it.

Huh? Is there something about that section of Canada which states you can’t return an item after 2 days?

Sonos is 30 days now.    I’m starting to wonder if OP bought his Arc from the back of a van.

OP blames sales person, yet if they took 30 seconds to google they would have seen people have been warning of a new Arc for months.
