Does anyone else wish Sonos would make a home theater “receiver”.  No built in amplifier, just a connectivity device to connect your projector or TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, etc.  This receiver should also allow more flexibility in which speakers you choose for the various channels of your surround sound setup.  E.g., you could build a surround sound system using all Fives or an Arc with Fives as front left/right.I have a long throw projector and have to run a 25 ft HDMI cable from the back of the room to the Arc in front.  Would be much simpler if I could just connect the projector to a receiver in the rear of the room - no long HDMI cable to soundbar in front.  And would prefer discrete speakers in front for better left/right separation.And please can we join two Sub Minis to a single speaker/room?  I much prefer the punchy Sub Mini to the boomy Sub.  Allowing the user to select crossover frequency for the Sub would also likely solve this - I used to set my sub crossove

I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a TV that support ARC (but not eARC). I no longer have any spare HDMI inputs for my bluray player now that I’ve plugged a Google TV streamer in to the TV. Not really a problem as we stream all movies that we watch now, however, I have some bluray disks with 5.1 channel music that I’d love to be able to listen to through the Beam.Jumping through hoops I’ve extracted the 5.1 sound files from the disk to a 5.1 LPCM .flac file, 48khz/24bits, and I put that on to my home network. The Sonos app can see the file, but when I try to play it I’m told “unsupported format”. So, is there a supported format I can convert the files to that the Beam can play directly?Casting the sound file to the Google TV also doesn’t play the files, although I can play them fine on my computer or phone. (Also using an app called BubbleUPnP on my phone or home network I can convert the files to 2 channel to play, but I want the Beam to be able to mix the 5.1 channels its

Hi, I was having trouble controlling the Playbar unless I was within a couple of feet. If I sat down on the couch, approx 10’, playbar would not respond to remote. I went thru the process of adding a universal remote. When you get to the option of “did it power on” select No, it will then try a 2nd code, select “yes”. All good, can control from anywhere in the room now

I was looking into a new soundbar recently and had pretty much decided on a Sonos Arc.  On the tail end of my research I came across a post either on this site or on reddit that was talking about how Sonos didn’t support DTS:X or DTS-HD, and while a lot of new BluRay’s are coming with Atmos tracks now, many BluRays still only have a DTS:X or DTS-HD track.  I am in the same boat as I still play a lot of physical media, and just assumed at the Sonos price points they would support every codec under the sun to make it easy on the end user, it just plays everything. As I further researched this I read a lot of comments about how it’s because of a DTS licensing issue?  Is this the official answer?  There was an article on The Verge that said, “Sonos finally adds DTS audio support to its home theater lineup”.  However, when you read the article it says, “Sonos only seems to support standard D

Can someone help me. I’ve been trying to get through to Sonos technical help but despite being on hold for over 2 hours a number of times I can’t get through.  my sub has stopped connecting - it’s a sub 3 and has a solid white light. The app says it has no network connection - the arc works fine. I’ve tried a factory reset but no joy. Any ideas ? 

Ive just installed a new Sonos Amp. Ive used the Sonos App on IOS to install it and all works ok. Then the app trys to register the amp on my Sonos account and I get an error saying cant connect try later. I have checked my Sonos account and logged in and updated my address and password all seems ok. Any ideas please. Thanks 

I have a new Sony A95L QD-OLED and have connected my arc, sub and 2 1’s.   I use the app and I can only get Dolby multichannel PCM 2.0.   I had an older Sony and could away get Dolby 5.1 with the same set up.   What am I doing wrong? Thanks,  

I use my Sonos to listen to music (Spotify etc.), but I also use it as a Surround system for my TV. With the new app switching from music to TV is tiresome. Music does not switch off, I cannot find the TV sign, It only switches on one speaker, if I finally find it. It takes long to stop music/Spotify. With the old app it was much easier. Everything takes ages now. Who can give me tips?

I have Arc full home theater setup with an lg cx and apple tv 4k. Watching Paramount + on Apple TV vs LG. The picture is so much better through Apple TV but I get a really soft Stereo PCM setting. If I watch directly through the tv, the picture is not as sharp and I get that garbled mess of a description but it’s loud and sound pretty good but not quite Atmos and it feels like it’s not full. Not looking for a fix necessarily more just thoughts and opinions on why it is what it is. 

Ive had an amp, soundbar and surround speakers working fne in the lounge. The speakers did play full music when music was playing and auto switched to surround when the TV was on. all good. But now there is no music or surround coming form the speakers. They are connected as i can hear the tone when i change the amps volume. Ive tried disconnecting the surrounds and re connecting and it says they are - but no sound. any thoughts on what i’m missing? thanks in advance. 

I have a client who has in-wall subs that are connected to an amp in the rack. When using an Arc or Beam for front stage, it would sure be nice to be able to use the sub output from a Sonos Amp functioning as the rear surround amp. I find it hard to believe this isn’t possible to fix via a firmware update. At the very least, there should be a way to use a Port as a dedicated sub pre-amp. Also, it would be nice to be able to use a Sonos Amp to run front height or width Atmos speakers in addition to an Arc. Again, this seems to be something these devices are already physically/technologically capable of, but just need to be updated. 

I wanted to upgrade to arc from playbar taking advantage of the 30% discount and being able to sell playbar for £200.... Expensive hobby but WOW atmos is immense.Luckily was able to use my sub and 2 play 1s after a bit of faffing updating them, but play 5 was gen1, as was my zone player which linked my rega turntable. Sold both already! Also upgraded to the port (managed to bag a new one/unused off ebay for £200) and bought an ikea bookshelf speaker - really is a decent bit of kit for not a lot of money - £115 posted.I'd recommend an upgrade to arc and replacing other speakers with ikea.However the system did drop once already. Hoping that doesn't happen frequently. Restarted phone and it resolved itself.

EVERYTHING WAS WORKING WELL!But then it wasn’t. I cannot get the ERA 100s to connect as SURROUNDS. I have rebooted and reset everything. The 100s show and the app walks me through setting them up but THERE WAS A PROBLEM.Any advice? Last try unplugged everything for a bit. ARC and SUB work fine with app or through TV.

Buonasera,Da un po' di giorni ho riscontrato il seguente difetto su beam2.Ho un Philips 55 OLED 806/12 al quale ho collegato soundbar beam2 tramite cavo HDMI sulla porta HDMI earc.Come formato uscita digitale ho settato multicanale( bypass).Succede che ogni tanto nelle visioni di programmi stereo PCM l'audio salti per qualche secondo..Ho provato a staccare spina TV ma nulla.Ho notato che se metto uscita digitale solo multicanale,ricevo un suono dolby multi Channel pcm 2.0 e non salta...ma mi sembra di qualità inferiore, inoltre se lascio solo su multicanale non ricevo il dolby pro logic..che è migliore...quindi credo che l opzione migliore rimanga il multicanale beatstream che però ogni tanto mi fa saltare audio... soluzioni? Grazie mille 

Hi everyone,I've got a Samsung S95b TV, Sonos Beam gen 2 and Eras300 and a Neflix premium account. Why are specific spatial audio movies not showing the spatial audio sign on my TV? I can see it on my Samsung Tab s8 ultra, but not on the TV. What am I missing? Sonos System Info shows audio in: Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0 for my beam gen 2. Is this how it supposed to be to get spatial surround audio on my eras 300?

So with my system, I have an ARC, Sub and 2 One SLs. Has anyone upgraded the ONE SLs to the Era 300s? Is it worth it and does it make the whole experience better? Can’t find any YouTube videos by anyone comparing the 2 sets of speakers side by side.

What is the easiest way to connect a Bluetooth turntable to a Sonos home theater setup with beam, sub and surround speakers. It seems the Bluetooth functionality of the era 100 surround speakers is disabled because they are being used as surround speakers

I have an Samsung TV with 1 HDMI input, 1 Display port Out, RCA analog out.  The HDMI input is used for Firestick. I purchase several analog to digital converts and none provide audio to the Sonos Beam. Is there a solution for older TV with analog audio out to connect to Sonos Beam?

Hi, I have a samsung smart TV with Sonos sound bar, Sonos subwoofer and era300. I can only link the soundbar and subwoofer or the subwoofer and era300, not all three at the same time.  I click on set up stereo pair and the set cup surrounds options but haven't been able to troubleshoot the issue. Do I require 2 of the era 300 speakers to work as surrounds/stero pairs? I was of the opinion I could have the TV with sound bar and subwoofer beneath it along with a era300 off to the rear side of seating area but perhaps this is not correct? Appreciate any assistance.

Well, what is missing is the ability to pair two Arc.The second one you would flip upside down so aesthetically they would fit perfect together.I have one Arc and two Sonos Sub gen3.I don’t want to add Five on left and right side. It will look to “much”.But to add another Arc, so these two together operate like my two Sonos sub does.So cool and nice looking! Agree? 

Is it possible to downgrade from an Arc to ex Beam in Sonos upgrade program?
