Samsung S92OLED with Beam set up

We have just bought a new Samsung S92C OLED TV and have spent all weekend trying to get it to connect to the Sonos Beam. I have now read (and tried) the recommendations here of unplugging everything, turning off modem etc and nothing has helped.I wish I had known before this would be such an issue as wanted to add other sonos products to create a home theatre.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue please 🙏 or have any other advice?

It might be an obvious question but have you first set up the Beam on your network? 
 

Assuming yes: is the Beam working - can you stream music to it? 
 

How are you connecting your tv and Beam? What cable are you using, what connector on the tv? 
 

Do you get any error messages? 
 

Have you set the tv sound to play to external speakers?
