Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi , Set up a full system for a friend recently then set up an another Beam Gen 2 yesterday for him. Added the Beam to the system and it asked for a “sign in from owner”  When I signed in he gave me a different email address and the same password. The system now works in both areas together by linking them or not but one room (beam) has voice control and the main room doesn’t. Both work through the app. We’ve reset passwords etc but no luck. It’s like it’s two different set ups with different login details. Every time I try to do something on the app it’s asking for sign in. Should I delete both accounts or add another system and forget existing system? Haven’t set these up in a while. Thanks  Scott 

Obviously the system is picking up the track in the playlist from where it is held in my music folder but it does not play it fully, moving to the next track and repeating in the same way through all the tracks until the playlist is finished. Can anyone suggest a fix for the problem? Spotify playlists play OK through Sonos. 

I have 7 Sonos speakers (somewhat unfortunately right now) and control them using the Android app. For me, I regularly update and have to power cycle some of my speakers regularly just to make them work. I mostly use a music library that is on a NAS. As much as possible, I have the sonos speakers connected by LAN vs wifi.What is still broken for me:I have an Era 100 and an Amp on smart switches as I need to regularly power cycle them for the sonos app to recognize them. This is needed about 50% off the time. About 25% of the updates, I need to power cycle the speakers for the update to be successful. For my Sonos Move, that is actually 100% of the time I need to do that. Music Library: when I choose to play a genre OR a playlist, it only works 25% of the time. Most times the app just spins. TV Supports Dolby Atmos/Vision by itself.Connected devices:PS5Nintendo SwitchApple TV 4K+Ethernet 128GB (3rd Gen)Sonos Arc Ultra.Will Orei HDA-927 or Feintech VAX01202 work for Apple TV Atmos content? I don’t need Dolby Atmos for gaming. I only want it for movies. For now, I need to use PCM output, otherwise I get lip sync lag. I followed every other adivice (resetting all devices, setting passthrough etc) and I want to buy something that is cheaper than HD Fury.I know that Orei HDA-935 works, but I don’t need 3 outputs I suppose.

Hi - looking for help.  I’m reasonably computer literate, have built my PCs.  My Sonos system is on S1, with two Connect amps, one connect, one Play 5, one Play3, 2 x CR200s, iPhone app and desktop app (win 11).I gave up on using my Synology NAS with my Sonos S1 system over a year ago as I couldn’t get it work with Sonos any more due to the SMB issues (after firmware update from Synology).  I’ve tried reading every related thread but I can’t make head or tail of most of it.  Is it now possible to connect to my Synology  NAS (SMBv2 I believe) or am I still locked out?  If there is no way to make this work with S1, my possible “solutions” seem to be :(1) put music on a USB drive connected to the router (my router doesn’t have a USB port though, and the possible new ISP I am looking into doesn’t provide one either)(2) keep music on my desktop PC and leave it on on all the time (don’t want to do this for obvious reasons)(3) Buy a low cost, preferably fanless

Hi, I’m looking for some help.  I’ve just purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and find the bass a little low.  I don’t seem to have the ability to amend the bass in the EQ settings as everything is greyed out (see attached).   I’ve tried turning off TruePlay to no avail.  Can anyone help?

I have just bought a Era 100 speaker. I wanted to use it as a Bluetooth only speaker (connecting to my Spotify on my Samsung S24) but quickly found out I had to set it up through WiFi, despite not having WiFi in my flat. So, I took it to my girlfriend's house and set it up through her WiFi (which was a painful experience btw). I then activated Bluetooth and it seemed to play fine, without any issues.So, I bought the speaker home, I connected my phone to the speaker via Bluetooth and started playing my music. To my horror, the music kept cutting out, for a second at a time, several times per song. I rang the Sonos helpline and was told that because I don't have WiFi in my flat, that this Bluetooth performance is normal, which I think is outrageous. She asked me to submit a diagnostic code through the Sonos app, which I did. She then asked me to playback music from Spotify to the speaker whilst talking to her, but it wouldn't play through the speaker. At this point she g

I’ve taken two play 1 speakers to a house to use while on holiday, but canning get them to connect. I have one plugged into an Ethernet port on the wall but cannot tell if it is live or not. Please help.!? 

Like many others, I've been experiencing issues with my Sonos system; it has become unreliable and unpredictable. I'm getting used to the volume control lag, but the frequent stream dropouts kill the vibe. I'm running the latest version of S2 and trying to listen to Pandora through the Connect that controls the ceiling speakers in the kitchen, the Move in the dining room, and the two Play 3s and Sub in the living room.I’m trying everying: Tripping the main breaker in the house to turn off my router and all 11 of my Sonos speakers at once is more effective than unplugging each one individually. I recently read a post claiming that the first speaker added to a group becomes the "master" while the others are "slaves." Is this true? If so, how should I decide which speaker to add first? The oldest device is the Connect, which sits about 50 feet from the router. The Play 3 and Sub group is closest to the router, while the Move is the newest device and is between the others.

Hello everyone. I have a question.  I just bought a move 2 as i wanted to replace an old iPod station turned into a bluetooth speaker ( a Geneva). I really like it but the truth is that i dont use portability a lot ( just to take it with me on my deck occasionaly). I was thinking maybe to change it at the store for a pair of era 100 (and a roam for the porshe) but i am wondering if two era 100 which would produce quit a better stéréo sound can also produce at least as much power in term of volume as the move 2 as i think is just enough for my living room in a party situation case.  Thanks a lot for your answers

Just upgraded to arc ultra from beam gen 1 but the room name is still showing in main menu despite factory reset on beam.

What is the technical limitation that keeps the ARC Ultra from being paired with two sub minis? 

This morning I was sitting with coffee and digging around in my orbi mesh. I noticed all my Sonos devices connected are listed as zone player 100. OK, not a big deal other than one is connected on the 2.4 mesh.  So off I go trying to ID what it is.  The only identification in the router that differs are the MAC addresses, of course.  On the speakers the only identification is the SN. What am I missing here? Are we not given an easy way to ID the hardware at network level? 

Hi all, I am not sure what I am missing. My playbar is connected to my Samsung TV via optical cable. I have already setup my remote on the app and it works perfectly when using the TV either with air/cable tv or other apps like Netflix or whatever… BUT if I change the input for the TV to be an HDMI (as for my Playstation 5) the remote wont change the volume (and the little indicator light won’t work either) it is only if I open any other tv app or air/cable that the remote will work ok again… is this normal or am I missing some configuration or something?? My Beam 2 gen is about 3 years old. So far it has been working ok. Imhabe a Samsung TV and I use a Logitech universal remote, to control the volume on the Sonos.we have had some outages on the network connection. I now having 2 issues. i can’t get any status lights, eventhough i swith the lights on with the App. (Ipad) the remote is not working, sort of. I have reprogrammed the remote, as I first thought that it was no longer functioning. What i see is that using the remote, actually changes the the volume in the App, but it does not change the volume on the Beam. If I use the App, to change the volume it works fine. -Does the Beam an infrared sensor, that receives the command from the Remote control, that may be damaged?-May a factory reset solve both problems. If so, how is that performed? Thanks 

Hi,today, I noticed my Playbar was unavailable for playback in the S2 app. I did find the Playbar in the settings of the app with the information, that this playbar is “not registered”.When I try to use the “Fix it” option, I get an error 1.066 - “there was a problem checking for updates”.Anyone has an idea, why the registration got lost? The Playbar was disconnected for a few hours from power. And why does the app check for updates when I just want to use my system again? The Playbar was successfully registered.I tried to dump this into Sonos support, but their chatbot got stuck asking what other Sonos devices I got.There are few exceptions from the norm to my setup - none of my Sonos Boxes is connected to the internet (for obvious security reasons). My Sonos app on iOS does not update automatically (I did that once by accident so no more of that update crap). This setup has been working smoothly for half a year.Any thou

It was necessary to divide my iTunes Music Library of 30k+ tracks into three parts in order to index it under the new Sonos software. This resulted in my iTunes index losing the location of all the existing tracks. I, accordingly, added the new folders created by dividing the library as referred to above. This worked but resulted in every track being duplicated but with only one of each actually working.I understand that, unlike with Sonos, complete folders cannot be removed from iTunes. It would take far too long to delete 30k+ tracks one at a time.My question is whether the duplicates, which do not locate the tracks named, could be removed by removing iTunes from my pc and then reinstalling it? On reinstallation, I would, of course, only add the new folders created by dividing my library as referred to above.I would take a back up copy of the library before removing the iTunes software from my pc.

Ever since the new controller app came out, it has been virtually impossible to control the volume of individual speakers in a large group (having to scroll to find the desired speaker). The problem is a countdown timer that doesn't restart when scrolling, causing the detailed view to collapse before you get a chance to adjust individual volume. I have to say I'm very surprised this hasn't been discovered and fixed in the many updates since the 2024 disaster update. Will this be addressed soon?

He comprado una sonos beam 2, vivo en Colombia y tengo un móvil con Android.Dentro de las cosas nuevas que trae la Bean 2 es que se puede utilizar el asistente de Google y como proveedor de música Amazon music, esas fueron dos razones para comprarla. Desafortunadamente ni el asistente de Google aparece como opción de asistente de voz, ni Amazon music como servicio de música. YouTube music si puede ser instalado como servicio de música sin embargo la presentación es poco atractiva y práctica. Agradezco me orienten si está haciendo falta algún elemento para poner a funcionar los dos servicios que deseo tener o si definitivamente por estar en Colombia estos servicios no están disponibles.

If I search for a song on Sonos on my iPhone from plex they are all grayed out and can’t be selected. Plex works fine otherwise. I’m using the latest plex on an iMac and I can search and play songs that I search in Sonos on the iMac. How can I play what I search for in plex in Sonos searched from my iPhone?

Hi everyone,I've been experiencing a strange inconsistency with the Plex integration in Sonos, and I believe it may be a UI-related bug.### The issue:- When I **search for a track** using the **Sonos mobile app** (tested on both Android and iOS), the result appears but is **grayed out** and cannot be clicked or played.- However, when I perform the **same search using the Sonos controller app on Windows**, the **track is fully clickable and plays perfectly**.- In both cases, I’m logged into the same Sonos system and accessing the same Plex server.### Additional details:- I run Plex on a QNAP server (Docker, host networking, public IP and port 32400 exposed).- Remote access is fully working.- Album and artist search results appear normally in all Sonos apps and are fully playable.- Tracks also play correctly from within albums — this only affects search results for individual tracks in the **mobile apps**.- Plex logs

I have a pretty basic question for you guys..I have a sterio pair of Era 100s in a rec room. I am considering a second pair in the room for better coverage at lower volumes. Following the APP build the 4 can be controlled by setting up a "room" but my only concern would be any delay between the 2 pairs. I have an Orbi mesh system that covers the house well so I'm sure both pairs will be on the same satellite so I'm not expecting an issue there but only concerned with the 2 pairs in the same room.  What are your thoughts about this?
