Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a Arc Ultra soundbar, a Sub 4, and an Amp driving two wired in-ceiling speakers in addition to a Samsung TV with HDMI ARC. The soundbar, subwoofer and amp can be connected via WIFI. Ideally I would like that the soundbar, the subwoofer and the in-ceiling speakers all be active whenever I turn the system on to watch TV or listen to music. Is there an ideal connection or order of component installation to make this process seamless and intuitive? I'd like to make this as simple as possible in the event that family members want to use the system and not have to learn any complicated sequencing in order to make it work. Thanks in advance.

Hi thereI checked my sonos devices in my current s1 environment and they should all be compliant with latest sonos app as per sonos own compability page.i get an error stating that there are uncompable device on my system therefore the system upgrade cannot be done.Anyone knows how to deal with this? My devices are: Amp, Beam (gen 1) and a play:1.An old device - Connect 1 is listed on my sonos login but has been removed from the system a while ago. any help will be greatly appreciated. addition: after starting the s1 app and ran system compability - it said that I have an old connect 1 - and asked if I would ever need this on my system - I answered NO and then I was send to download the new app version. Doing this it still complains of incompatible device though…I`m guessing that somehow the connect 1 stills blocks behind the scenes… anyone know a trick to get past this obstacle? Have tried the power off on

can i adjust ARC sound volume separately from tv sound volume?    i have a 2023 LG Oled.  From time to time I want to listen to just the ARC, with no actual tv volume. I have the ARC connected via  HDMI cable from the bar to an ARC (Audio Return Channel)-equipped HDMI socket on the LG TV, 

I read with great interest that Sonos now supports Apple Music Lossless. But I’m unable to find a list of supported devices.  I want to add a streamer to an existing stereo. I’d considered Bluesound, but would definitely get the Sonos Port instead if I was certain that Apple Music Lossless worked. Can anyone provide an answer?

When I search for a song or artist and the list of suggestions appears, if I tap on the song I want nothing is happening. Instead I have to tape the dots at the end of the title and press the play now or play next buttons.This is happening on both iPhone and iPad only recently started doing this after 10+ years of owning this system.i still find the app they kindly dumped on the community last May is still not as robust as its predecessor, despite the numerous updates in the past 12 months. 

I have a Sonos system consisting of a Beam, which handles my television output, and two Sonos Ones serving as surround speakers. It’s been working splendidly, but recently I purchased a Sonos Era 100 to connect my CD player via its line-in. This has introduced issues that I'm struggling to resolve. If I play the CD player through the Era 100 alone, it’s perfectly acceptable, albeit a bit limited. However, attempting to play it through the entire system creates a problem when I next switch on the television. Either there’s no sound at all, or there’s a peculiar echoing conflict where the TV speakers and the Beam fail to synchronise. All I really want is to play CDs when I fancy listening to them and watch television when I wish to do so, with the system understanding which input I desire at any given time. Have I inadvertently created an impossible conflict, or is there a solution? Can anyone assist me, please?

I would like to share with you a small success related to my Sonos. I did not expect a solution to my problem until suddenly it was found! I would also like to greet and comfort my American friends. Hang in there! Here in Poland, we have been holding out for 10 years. As you can see, I have a lot of it:My last purchase, two weeks ago, was ARC Ultra, but I missed one thing both before, with Beam and now, with Ultra. I wanted to listen to the music and, at the same time, watch and listen to sports from TV. Unfortunately, my TV set with eARC, a 7-year-old Samsung Q75, did not allow switching to the TV speakers when connected to a Sonos soundbar. Of course, this is not Sonos' fault but the eARC standard.But I did not give

“New” iOS mobile app still does not display my full list of Sonos Favorites while the MacOS app does show them all.  Please fix this.

I recently had a first generation Play 5 speaker go belly up, and now have 3 remaining first generation Play 3 speakers and was forced onto the new SONOS (2) app which has been a terrible experience with very slow response to changing tracks, loading queues, everything. I tried the complete router & speaker reboot that was suggested on other posts here, and that helped *a bit* it’s still slow but better. My question is: Is this a problem people experience with the new app talking to old speakers? Or do people with newer generation speakers have the same issue with the new app? I want to get a set of new ERA 100s but not if the app experience is going to be like this.

For some reason I lost all power to my Sonos system. had to unplug it and wait for 10 second to get it to work. why would this happen. It’s a brand new system 

Although I use the Sonos 2 app to control my new components, I also use the old Sonos 1 app to play music in my basement. Unfortunately, the Sonos 1 app is suddenly not able to play anything from my music library. I can play radio through the old app, but when I select Albums, Composers, etc., all I get is a little logo with the text, “No selections are available.” Very frustrating.

I purchased a Era300 at Best Buy two months ago and I absolutely hate this speaker. The crackling and popping coming from the speaker is so load that it drowns out the sound from my beam and Era 100s. I've tried all the remedies I have seen posted but from what I'm reading here Sonos doesn't really care that the Era300 is crap. What remedies do we have as a community to force Sonos to fix these concerns. Serious buyer remorse.

Hi there,I’m seeking guidance on Trueplay tuning. In my large music/entertainment (rectangular) room, I have the following setup across the room length:2x Era 300s stereo pair + Sub Gen 3 and on the opposite end, 1x Era 300 + Sub MiniI have Trueplay tuned each group separately. For optimal performance, do I need to Trueplay each speaker before grouping or is it ok that I Trueplay tuned each group? Thanks,V

After spending hours in a loop of re-authorise / log into your Sonos account misery I resorted to deleting Sonos and ITunes apps from my phone (iPhone 15) / reset my Sonos speakers and started over. I downloaded the Sonos app, connected the speakers and then the WiFi. I was then able to add back my iTunes account. It took 15 minutes!I couldn’t find any helpful suggestions online so resorted to a complete reset - it worked but surely shouldn’t be this hard!

What should I do?I got 2 Sonos Symfonisk lamps as a gift.  I was excited!  I had heard such great things about Sonos speakers.  However, little did I know… I can’t add Spotify as a service and I can’t use voice control (a function I was looking forward to).  Spotify is my main concern.  I contacted support to figure it out, and they said Spotify is not supported in my region.  I live in South Korea, for the record.  I’ve been using Spotify for years.  My family also uses Spotify.  We’re also a Samsung family (again… we’re in South Korea) so Apple Airplay is not an option.  The only thing I could do is subscribe to Apple music, but that means I have to convince my family to switch services as well, forsaking years of playlists and song curation.  If I could at least connect to the speakers directly via Spotify, that would be more than enough for me.  In fact, that would be ideal.  However, that doesn’t work either! Make it make sense!

Thought i would post this, as there doesn't seem to be a fix.Completely random situation. Add 2 or 3 music to the queue and then try to add another and it says 'Unable to add to queue'. Clear the queue and add 1 song and it plays and i can view the empty queue. Try to add another song and you get 'Unable to add to queue' What !!!Clear the queue follow all the the info from my last post. Restart router, etc. Then add songs to queue, i can view, edit, etc. Clear the queue do the same thing and try to view again 'Unable to view queue. Try again later'. Clear the queue and add 1 song, all good, view queue o.k. try to add song and 'Unable to add to queue '.Tried multiple times, over a few days, weeks, etc. Same thing, random all the time. Sonos tech go through the same thing, restart router,  etc. Just the same. Getting fed up, as there doesn't seem to be a fix. Loads of app updates but still not fixing. Just an update to this. I Have in my house 7 products1xS1 in kitchen Sonos surround in living (beam, 2x s3)2 S1 in bedroom1 roamonce adjusted it works all fine but when startup the app it always play the kitchen s1, very annoying every time find livingroom activate that set and shut off kitchen.is there a way to give livingroom priority at startup 

I’ve got a Sonos One SL (Model 922). It connects wirelessly to both my iPad (OS18.4.1) and iPhone (OS 18.4.1). I can stream music from either idevice (not at the same time). So far so good. I’ve also got a Mac Mini M2 (OS 15.4.1) I am unable to wirelessly connect the mini to the speaker. The Sonos S1 Controller app (updated to latest) won’t find it after pushing the button on the speaker. I had it Ethernetted at one point, however I want a WiFI connection (I did factory reset before connecting to idevices). Mini is ethernetted to router and also on house WiFI. What is the magic to wirelessly connect speaker to mini? BTW, I tried adding the S1 controller app to the firewall to allow all incoming connections (per instructions), however that disappears. It seems the Mini doesn’t like the S1 controller app. 

I have seen a few posts in this forum where people ask about why the Android app requires “precise location” permission in order to connect to a Sonos system. Like many of these commenters, I see no obvious reason why Sonos would require “precise location” and urge Sonos to remove this requirement. Perhaps it is needed because there have been changes to Android APIs in recent versions of Android, and Google is somehow coercing Sonos to implement what appears to be a dark pattern on their users. If that is the case, fine, but Sonos should post a FAQ somewhere explaining precisely and in detail why this happens. Otherwise, this just makes Sonos look like a company that collects and resells location data. Perhaps they are? I don’t think so. Hi there!I’m new to Sonos and have my system for a few days now. I use an Arc Ultra with Era 100 as surround and Sub 4. The Arc Ultra is connected to the Sony TV via HDMI eArc. A Fire TV Stick 4K is connected directly to the TV HDMI-In without any adapters.The following problem: The Arc Ultra somehow seems to interfere with the signal from the Fire TV Stick remote control and also the TV control. When the Arc Ultra is connected, you have to hold the remote control extremely close and very directly to the TV or soundbar to switch the TV on and change the volume, otherwise nothing happens. The navigation buttons up/down/left/right, on the other hand, work instead well and theoretically also much further away / in another room – really strange.The Arc Ultra is located around 15cmin in front of the TV. Finally, yesterday, a pair of Sonos Era 100s arrived. I have been configuring a pair of Sonos Era 100s as surround speakers on my Sonos Beam Gen 2 and have been playing Dolby Atmos Music and Dolby Atmos demo content to evaluate the experience. Overall, I am satisfied, but there is one major drawback.When the side surround channel is played, sound is output from both the side speakers of the Sonos Beam and the Era 100s.
