I have a Sonos One and recently upgraded to a TP-Link_278 router. When I tap Update network in the Sonos app, it says Update the network settings for your products so they can connect to you wifi. Result is “unable to update these products, to add to network factory reset them.

Tap continue and it says Unable to update, factory reset. I do that and get the green flashing light that the instructions call for, but when I then tap the Update network setting I get the same result (Unable to update).

I called Sonos Support and he walked me through getting connected to my new router. I had to add my Sonos One first, since I had done a factory reset. Works now, thanks!

As you have factory reset the speaker, if you close and reopen app, do you then see the prompt to add the One back to the system?

I force quit the Sonos app and went through the process again. It continues to say “unable to update these products,” etc.

I’d try connecting the One to your router by ethernet to complete the update.

The status of the LED light may also guide you here https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/sonos-led-lights ie. If it’s flashing red and white then you may have to reboot it.

If you’re still unable to update the speaker after this, then I’d contact Sonos Support.
